I am an 80's kid. I told one of my mates who is born in the early 90's about Over the Top with Stallone, that it's literally an arm wrestling movie. He didn't believe me at first and had to looked it up for himself. 😆
One among many other funny things about this classic movie is that all of the top arm wrestlers in America are apparently all truck drivers. And they all want to win a new semi truck. There aren't any normal weight lifter strong men or tough guys in the contest that work regular jobs. They are all truckers who practice arm wrestling each other for cash at the truck stop diners....gearing up for big annual event in Vegas. Lol
The “Over the Top” tournament to this date, remains the single biggest professional arm wrestling event in history. Many of the scenes in the montage are real footage of the tournament.

An underrated masterpiece for sure! Underrated because of the time when it was released - the percentage of fatherless homes in 1987 was much lower.
