A few updates I should have made ages ago: - Yes I know I pronounced ‘Thyme’ wrong. I realised that upon being corrected the first time, I don’t need a hundred comments telling me I’m dumb because of it. Hell y’all probably mispronounced my name at first if you saw it written prior. - A bit of confusion on the Intensive Carrot entry. Regarding the Sun-Shroom, what I meant to get across is that you should only use it on this plant when boosted as it instantly brings it back to its full form (due to that being part of the Sun-Shroom’s Plant Food effect); if the Sun-Shroom’s not boosted it will start again at its lowest form. Ditto to some other plants like Potato Mine and Strawburst. - Yes I think Garlic sucks. No I don’t have to think otherwise because ShyGuyMask likes him. He is just one guy with an opinion, much like myself. - I also got the bit about NMT being a 'night world' wrong; I thought it was just because in the world selection menu the background turns purple when you scroll onto it, like Dark Ages does. You still get falling sun and the levels are named 'Day X' instead of 'Night'. EDIT 9/3/2022: The Goodpea2 reference was unintentional... and regrettable. I was just simply looking for images of the Thyme Warp.
@Among Us yeah I do, chuck him in front of a plant you want to protect, pray you don't come across an instant kill zombie, replace him after 5 uses, rinse and repeat. He's terrible
My Way: 6th: Garlic - *Not useful now but....* 5th: Phat Beet - *Nice but boring* 4th: Intensive Carrot - *This is good but it's not that kinda plant I like all the time* 3rd: Spore Shroom - *Spawns more spore shrooms when killed? (Sporeception)* 2nd: Thyme Warp - *Good! Putting zombies back where they belong! Sadly it's only Used in one world....* 1st: Celery Stalker - *R.I.P Gargantuars*
6: Garlic He was one of my favorites in PvZ1, with so few counters that Garlic+Gloom-Shroom was viable, and even had a name: Gloomwalk. But now Gloom-Shroom was replaced and half the zombies counter him. 5: Intensive Carrot Tired of losing all your Winter Melons? Put them in the back like a normal person! Sunflowers are actually not best in the back, as the back should be reserved for your primary offense or Winter Melon. Intensive Carrot is rarely useful, especially when costing 100 sun. If it costed 0, it would be one of my favorites. I could never justify using it. 4: Phat Beet Gloom-Shroom was nerfed! Yay... 3: Thyme Warp A cool plant that I used every so often but I don’t anymore. 2: Spore-Shroom spore-shroom means more shroom. Spore-Shroom means more shroom! SPORE-SHROOM MEANS MORE SH- (my bro and i loved doing that when we used spore shroom) 1: Celery Stalker A cool plant I never used despite its high dps. I should probably use it more.
I mean, you can use the intensive carrot in Zomboss Arenas and Penny’s Pursuit to recover lost plants AND activate their Plant Food effects, I used this with Zoybean Pod with extremely good results
garlic isnt my favorite but people are definitely underestimating him, though i wouldn't have brought him back specifically for this world as there are more deserving plants from 1, he just needs to be used right
Just a note, Spore Shroom *has* to kill the zombie to make a clone. If any other plant kills a zombie it doesn’t matter how many hits it got in it won’t replicate. It’s still great if your still willing to use it as your only plant other than single use and sun producers
What's ironic for the thyme warp being banned in other modes is that there's *LITERALLY* a premium plant you can get with seed packets that functions the exact same way. They should kinda make plants like gold leaf and others usable in other maps tbh, making them usable in only 1 world kills the exact purpose on why would you receive a certain plant.
I wish they did balance changes...making plants that make the game kinda easy slightly less powerful and making the plants that really aren’t that good a bit better The garlic and sun bean are in a pretty sad position rn
Favorite world! Let’s get my list started: 6: Garlic (He has some uses like you mentioned, primarily to lure zombies into the range of Phat Beet or Electric Currant, but gets killed way quicker and is just all around useless). 5: Thyme Warp (He can be useful in his world, where he’s allowed, but his slow recharge and the fact that he heals all zombies is not good). 4: Phat Beet (If Gloom Shroom didn’t need to be planted on Fune Shrooms and isn’t nocturnal, that’s basically Phat Beet, but like Gloom Shroom, there aren’t many situations I find him necessary in). 3: Spore Shroom (For the reasons you brought up plus if you have no other plants to use with Ail Mint in Arena, he’s a good choice). 2: Celery Stalker (Does devistating damage at a quick speed. However, he is vulnerable when out of the ground, so that brings him down). 1: Intensive Carrot (Reviving plants is a great idea, and it’s why he’s up here, but his only problem is like the ever so worthless Aloe, he only heals defensive plants to half their health. Still tops the list though!) Next up, we have the 3 hardest worlds in the game. And I’ll be there like always...
I'm about to do my own personal ranking! 6: garlic: who thought it would be a good idea to bring this plant back, I found them pretty useless in the first game, it would have been cooler if they feel bad spot up with the DOOM SHROOM, because I like using the Doom shroom in the first game... 5: phat beat: better than the garlic definitely, but not very useful, I never really use it to be honest, that's all I can say... 4: time warp: this would definitely be in the top three, but there's one thing thats keeping it down, the fact that it brings zombies back to full health, that really kills the plant in my opinion... Now on to the good ones 3: intensive carrot: definitely useful for when you have an expensive plant and only have 100 sun, it's definitely a good plant and I would recommend using it... 2: spore shroom; I don't know why but this plant seems like it would be in the first game if the roof had a nighttime version, it's definitely useful... There's only one left 1: celery stalker: this plant is just really to me, it helps me a lot, and I would definitely recommend using it! So that's my crappy list.
6. Garlic, pretty usefull in first part, totally useless in sequel. 5. Phat Beet, just useless! 4. Intensive Carrot, good idea, but not that great in action. 3. Thyme Warp, love him! Super usefull, wouldw be easly number one if not his World exclusivity. 2. Celery Stalker, usefull. 1. Spore-shroom, super OP if you had good strategy. Couting premiums: Cactus would be between intensive Carrot and thyme warp, he isnt very usefull but also not bad. Electric Blueberry ofcourse number one, probably the most OP plant ever.
@@milliesbiggestfan Yes if you have a bunch of them So 5×5 spore shroom vs 5×5 phat beet Spore wins because of range & creating spores meanwhile phat beet is a no no 3 columns will do nothing while 2 tries to do something Thyme warp is a save me plant gives 5-7 sec. To think or do something without any zombie
@@monke274 yea so the only really disadvantage that it had is that it takes up 3 seeds slots in day levels as you need fume shroom coffee bean and offourcouase the gloomshroom
YES, Doom Shroom was my favorite plant in the 1st game too! It's just amazing, the drawback is accaptable, the damage is unbelievable and the visuals and effect... Mhh, chef's kiss. I kinda get the reference with the balloon bomb plant (forgot her name for a sec, sorry) plant food effect, but it's not the same and feels fake and less powerful.
@@James-ym9sv... Holy shit... But do you mean in both damage and range, or only damage? Because one of the best things about the Doom Shroom is that I could wipe out basically the whole board with it in one blow, if the Ultomato just does one lane, then I still think Doom Shroom is better! (also because, at least in 1, it could one-shot everything except Zombot and maybe the gargantuar, which is probably different in 2, since they made upgraded zombies unreasonably strong in some cases)
@@mikethegoo According to the pvz wiki, doom shroom's area is 5x7 and no it can't one-shot a gargantuar. Same with Ultomato. The damage they deal is the same, at 1800 dps. I forgot to mention that the ultomato kills itself after its plant food effect. You know Doom Shroom's drawback.
@@James-ym9sv Doom shroom's drawback... I can give 2. 1, it's a single-use plant with a long recharge 2, it leaves a crater, which prevents you from using that tile for a while. But the question is... Is Ultomato's plant food area of effect single-line, like you expect if you see its regular attack, or is it multi-line and similar to doom shroom? If it's similar, it's about equal use, except it has a normal attack as well, which would make it objectively better, if the price and recharge is similar or better (I forgot). If it's not, then I would argue doom shroom is better if you think of the "big boom for a single wipe" thing. Clearly they're meant for different things, but if you assume that the goal is "kill as many zombies as possible in a single blow", then the point stands.
My opinion: 6th - Garlic [If you're supposed to be bitten then why the heck do you get eaten up so fast (at least in PvZ 1). Sure, ok paired with Phat Beat but...] 5th - Thyme Warp ["The Thyme Warp cannot be used in this level..." huh? Sorry, did I say something? Not to mention recovers zombies to full health.] 4th - Phat Beat [Now we're in the good. Remember Gloom Shroom? This is a slow version of it.] 3rd - Spore Shroom [I turned into a Spore-Shroom, Conehead Zombie! I'm Spore-Shroom Basic Zombie!] 2nd - Intensive Carrot [Aloe but better, and maybe to go far, actually good. Aloe was too slow to be a healer when I used it in the Epic Quest.] 1st - Celery Stalker [Bonk Choy sacrifices it hitting from the front for hiding and more damage.]
My list) 6) garlic- look how they massacred my boy 5) phat beet- I’d rather use gloom vine 4) celery stalker- I find it rather finicky 3) spore shroom- I don’t mind this one 2) thyme warp- this one’ underrated tbh 1) intensive carrot- I love using it on torchwood
I just put down a line of beets then a line of wall nuts. It works way better than you'd think as the zombies eating the nuts get hit by 2-3 beets at the same time
I feel like that massively depends on the zombies your up against, if it’s Neon Mixtape Tour the strategy isn’t that good as nearly every zombie has a counter to this
my opinion 6. phat beet, immune to the boom box zombie? i bet it wont reach that thing anyways, how is this effective to punk zombie anyways 5. intensive carrot, idk why this plant was in neon mixtape tour, ill just use it in the arena where placed plants use their plant food effect, it goes for revived ones too 4. garlic, this thing seems less likeable to me now 3. spore shroom, you basically generate more spore shrooms, but ill think their gonna be eaten anyways 2. celery stalker, i think this plant can solo handedly defeat a conehead zombie, i like using it 1. theme warp, say you have stunions and puff shrooms to stall a gargantuar, then it reached to your house, theme warp: does their thing, gargantuar: NANI
intensive becomes broken when you make it level ten (max) it cost 25 sun and a ten second recharge and it brings back plants with more hp (125% of original)
6th: Garlic. Remember how useful it was? Not anymore, because it doesn't synergize well anymore. 5th: Intensive Carrot. I only find it useful when reviving expensive plants like Winter Melon. 4th: Spore-shroom. Its concept is interesting, but when it defeats a zombie, it's like a waste of space that can remove spaces you're meant to put some of your defenses on. 3rd: Thyme Warp. It's cool, rewinding zombies and putting them back where they started is quite good, but it heals the zombies it rewinds, and its recharge is slow. 2nd: Phat Beet. It's able to attack in a three-by-three area, and its fourth-sixth attack is a critical attack. It's good as well because it's immune to Boombox Zombie's immobilization. 1st: Celery Stalker. Celery Stalker can stay on its tile for a long time, even after the level, and not much zombies can fully destroy it. It can also attack backwards with heavy damage. It's underrated but I like it
Yet Another Listing. 8. Garlic: A good plant from the first game, it got knocked down several levels. It got less health, one bite isn't enough to trigger its effect and multiple zombies can kill it without its ability coming into effect. It does really poorly in its homeworld as well due to most zombies having an ability to negate its use. It only has one niche that isn't taken by other plants: protecting electric currants. 7. Phat Beet: A pretty poor plant, it has some uses but there are other better choices. 6. Intensive Carrot: Good idea on paper but difficult to use effectively. 5. Electric Blueberry: Can instant-kill pretty much any zombie. Its randomness makes it unpredictable and somewhat unreliable and it takes a while to be able to fire its attacks off. 4. Thyme Warp: A last resort plant to send all zombies back to the start. It does heal them back to full however and it can only be sued in one world. 3. Cactus: An improvement from her first game counterpart, she deals some solid damage. 2. Spore Shroom: A good mushroom. It deals solid damage and has a good plant food effect. It is a bad choice in Dont lose more than x plants and don't have more than x plant levels however. The spore shroom needs to land the kill to spawn more spore shrooms. 1. Celery Stalker: Somewhat hard to get used to but they deal devastating damage to what is behind it.
my list: including premium plants 8th: phat beet nerfed gloom shroom with small speed, and when the boombox zombies come, you can just pick them off anyways, doesn't work well with wall nuts and it's back attack is usually not needed when u even get the chance to use it you won't think of phat beet, only celery stalkers and stuff 7th: intensive carrot isn't mentioned much at all, easy to forget, wastes a seed slot, and oh wow no super op tall nut strats and stuff, and high cost plants are usually safe or too powerful anyways 6th: garlic works wonders with the electric currant (that I have) and helps plants like split pea and celery stalker safely chip off the health of zombies, and with enough sun, can pay for itself, just needs to have no instant killers 5th: spore shroom overall powerful but loses drastically because of it's powerful but slow attacks usually being stolen, and the defense is still much weaker with it alone and clones will be eaten easily, barely landing more than a couple shots, plus it has no refunds on the clones, good plant but needs a buff 4th: cactus whenever I use this plant, it's awesome, it has a powerful attack, and a creative ground mode, the downside is that in ground mode, it will be dug up, smashed and stuff instead, and a normal spikeweed doesn't deal that much dmg without a wall, so it's usually either ground mode or not, and ground mode is a scam, and if a zombie passes, it will be strong enough to pass it anyways 3rd: thyme warp lifesaver, stalls heavily and even with the health regen, it forms clusters for cherry bombs to deal with, and gives lot of sun time too, the problem is that It doesn't do anything else really, so It can't do much 2nd: celery stalker insane damage, low price, fine recharge, perfect with garlic, but will be dug up and smashed when it is defensive placed, like in front of a wall nut, but can beat up zombies when placed past them, OP 1st: electric blueberry would've made the final phase easy as pie, can use lightning quickly, powerful, affordable, a bit annoying recharge, this thing is worth the 0.10 cents of renting I can't believe viddy's vids actually made this an f tier
Nice, detailed list, thanks! Yeah, the order sounds about right. Strawburst, was it? I don't know that one, was it removed? What did it do? (I started playing a week ago).
I've always wondered why'd they even nerfed Garlic in the first place. Yeah, it was hella good in PvZ 1, but it was because it had very few counters. Even without the health nerf, PvZ 2 has many more zombies that can either bypass or destroy it, so it would've been pretty balanced anyways.
2:38 thyme warp can be used in modern day aswell because punkzombies,HDMG,MC,And Boom box are present it not only works on them but all the other zombies too
The celeri stalker can kill coneheads early game and can make bucket heads harmless when paired up with even just a peashooter its mostly comparable to a potato mine but better
My list 6th- Garlic- Garlic was good in the first game but who the heck would want this in the second game??? There are SOOOOOO many better options in PvZ 2! 5th- Thyme Warp- I loved this plant! Then I realized it healed zombies. Now it’s down here. 4th- Phat Beat- not much to say here... 3rd- Intensive Carrot- I like this plant but I really have never had a problem with zombies destroying my expensive plants seeing I normally use cheaper plants that have no real reason to be brought back if eaten. 2nd- Spore Shroom- not really much to say that hasn’t already been said 1st- Celery Stalker- this thing is great. Just great
Here's my list: 1) Celery stalker: An awesome plant which can deal with the zombies backward especially in jurassic marsh, it can also tackle hair metal gargantuar. 2) Thyme warp: Despite the slow recharge, it's a lifesaver when there's a huge wave of zombies approaching. Too bad, it's limited to its native world. 3) Spore-shroom: By killing a zombie, he can make another clone which is awesome. Avoid using him in lost city where there's parasol zombie since she's immune to it. 4) Phat beet: Neural about it. 5) Intensive carrot: Would be better if it could revive a plant at full health even if it needs to level up. 6) Garlic: Sorry to put him here. He was solid in pvz 1 but now he's fragile in pvz 2 even with slow recharge.
A video I just watched told me that intensive carrot can be used on power lily and power mints. Could you please confirm if that's true if you have those plants or gold bloom?
My ranking: 6. Spore shroom. His shots can be inaccurate when spawning a new spore shroom, on its own is pretty unreliable but with something like fume shroom it can be good. I also agree with you on it being useful on certain objective levels such as don’t spend more than an amount of sun. But overall unless you upgrade it’s damage it’s severely weak. 5. Garlic. Only reason this is higher is because it can be good with Phat beet, electric currant, and against dinosaurs. Other than that it’s health is borderline bad, most of it’s homeworld zombies are instant killers and it’s a random chance that a zombie will go either left or right (unless on the top or bottom lane). It’s recharge is also very slow so there’s that as well. 4. Phat beet. No doubt one of those plants that won’t work well unless with support. But even with support it’s damage is still not great, it’s plant food is just embarrassing. Immune to boom box zombies effect yes but those zombies barely show up in neon mixtape tour as well as in Greatest hits. 3. Thyme warp. The fact that it is an exclusive plant to NMT holds it back a lot but really it’s a good life saver for when any gargantuars reach the far left of the lawn or any other zombie. Slow recharge is also a big flaw with it but I see that as fair as using it every 10 seconds would be extremely overpowered. 2. Intensive carrot. Bringing back ANY plant in the game with intensive carrot is pretty good although it’s 20 second recharge and it’s half health recovery for a plant are what hold it back a lot. But overall it’s not a bad support plant to have when relying on an expensive plant such as Melon pult or banana launcher or any wall nut 1. Celery stalker. Not one of my top favorite plants but I’ll admit it has some pretty nasty damage it can deal. Attacks very quickly, hits from behind and goes underground. Bonk Choy is a reliable plant for taking out zombies form behind but celery stalker is much more useful. Even when being the top spot it doesn’t mean it has its flaws. It can still be knocked out of the lawn or pushed forward in the lawn by an anklosaurus in Jurassic marsh, it’s front shield health is not great and plant food is mediocre. But overall a good plant.
Neon Mixtape Tour Ranking 6. Garlic- Very few situations where this plant is functional. Just cheap, nothing that exciting. 5. Phat Beet- A worse Gloom shroom and doesn't even do that much damage. Barely functional on minecarts and even worse, doesn't work on chickens or weasels. 4. Intensive Carrot- Good thing for it is saving sun on expensive plants like winter-melon and coconut cannon. Slow recharge and defeated plants come back at half health are its flaws. 3.Thyme Warp- Good for saving endangered plants but injured zombies come back at full health and the fact its not available in other worlds. 2. Spore-shroom- There's only 1 situation that benefits the zombies with spore-shroom and that's trap tiles in lost city. Overall, Good for making plants without planting is nice for all the lazy ones. 1. Celery Stalker- This plant is good for damaging heaps of health when there's a zombie behind it. Good for defeating Prospecters, Explorers, Shovels, Wizards and more. Best plant in its world. P.S: This is own opinion so don't take it too seriously.
6.Garlic:Yes 5.Phat Beet:bad due to how hard it's to kill zombies but it sure is good against the boombox zombie 4.Thyme Warp:If it was available on other worlds it would probably be one of them most useful plants in the game 3.Spore Shroom:Very good as the spore shrooms that spawn in the more east area can be useful to make zombies distract on eating the plants 2.Intensive Carrot:Very good for reviving expensive plants 1.Celery Stalker:Very good for insta killing garguantuars if combined with iceberg, stallia or stunion
6. Garlic - He was good in the first game due to being nearly as tough as a wall nut but now it takes 3 bites to finish it off. They should’ve brought back doom shroom instead. 5. Phat Beet - The weaker gloom-shroom. Does less damage and less fire rate 4. Thyme Warp - It’s good in it’s own world because it can only be used in it’s own world. But... Hocus Crocus exists now and could be used in all other worlds. At least Hocus Crocus could damage zombies 3. Spore Shroom - This guy can save you sun for defeating zombies. His damage is pretty good as well while being a lobbing plant. I always thought lobbing plants are better than straight shooters 2. Celery Stalker - Hehe, Gargantuars go brr. Although he sucks in levels with high zombie density 1. Intensive Carrot - He can save you a lot of sun if one of your expensive plants are dead. He can even revive Hypno-Shrooms and etc. However it is really pointless to use it on something like a puff shroom or chili bean
garlic can be used really well in pvz1.I got to jurassic marsh, saw it, was like "aw sweet, now I can divert like 50 zombies off of the outer lanes, like in pvz1! then it dies after 3 uses.
My list: 6)Thyme warp(never use it) 5)Spore shroom(bad idea in every world) 4)Phat beet(weeker then other multy directional plants) 3)Garlic(don't even ask why i put him this high as he can be used as an aid in one of extra hard modern day level with Moon flower as the endagered plant as feening garlic plant food will divert every zombie in its lane even non eaters) 2)Celery stalker(kills a bucked head in a fast rate) 1)Intencive carrot(need i say more?)
I got that bit wrong, I think I just assumed it was a Night world because the background turns purple when you scroll onto it in the world selection menu, just like Dark Ages.
My list 6. Garlic (Even in pvz 1 if you weren't using any specific garlic strat, this plant can go completely unused) 5. Intensive carrot (Just saying you'll only need to use this plant if the level is really chaotic and the zombies ate your plants and you used a power up or two to get rid and now you're just really low on sun and can't get that plant back, there is no other scenario to use it otherwise you're just bad at the game) 4.Thime Warp (Similar to the intensive carrot except a bit more useful, this plant is really a last resort as in if you are about to die and the zombies have reached your house, otherwise it's a waste of 75 sun) 3. Phat beet (Does constant damage around him, can be good with garlic but it's damage is low average and not good with the neon mixtape your zombies) 2. Spore-shroom (Being able to make more spore-shroom by it killing a zombie is crazy good and it's long range making them more useful in neon mixtape tour than any of the other plants) 1.celery stalker (Even though it can't become as useful in the world it was unlocked in than the spore shroom, it can come really handy in other worlds since this plant attacks zombies behind it doing great damage while holding off any zombies that comes in the of it before it ducks in the ground to prevent getting eaten but it can still get owned by zombies that doesn't eat the plants)
My list is pretty similar 6-Intensive carrot 5-Garlic 4-phat beat 3-spore shroom 2-thyme warp 1-Celery stalker However I say all of them but celery and thyme warp are trash
The world when things starts to get hard: 1. Spore-shroom: I like its ability. It's the most useful plant on the world as well. 2. Celery Stalker: Another plant I like to use in other worlds, especially in the Modern Days because of Newspaper Zombie. 3. Thyme Warp: It's a shame that it can't be used in other worlds, but makes its job. 4. Intensive Carrot: I know it's a good plant, but I never used XD 5. Phat beet: It's a bad gloom-shroom. 6. Garlic: Still useless.
My list: 8: electric blueberry, it’s only useful for Gargs because it insta kills them 7: garlic, good with electric currant strategies and rotobaga and starfruit strategies 6: cactus: it’s main purpose is for the neon mixtape tour boss fight, one of the worst 5: phat beet: it’s low damege makes it useless but when you plant it in multiple rows it’s useful 4: celery stalker, a sweet plant with the plant food effect to duplicate but serves for glitter zombies 3: intensive carrot, if your high sun cost plant dies intensive carrot will save your days 2: thyme warp, I would top it in the list if it wasn’t world exclusive because that makes no sense 1: spore shroom, I rarely use it in the final levels of neon mixtape tour because it’s good for its damege which I,ll allow and spawning a clown of it when it deafeats a zombie makes it very good when doing hard worlds That’s my list
0:40 This makes me so sad to see garlik down so low! Gloom walk used to be a really op strat where you would use garlic to force zombos into empty lanrs with gloom shrooms constantly attacking them, but this strat is kinda hard now they are no gloom-shrooms. :(
A few updates I should have made ages ago:
- Yes I know I pronounced ‘Thyme’ wrong.

Just a note, Spore Shroom *has* to kill the zombie to make a clone. If any other plant kills a zombie it doesn’t matter how many hits it got in it won’t replicate. It’s still great if your still willing to use it as your only plant other than single use and sun producers

Talk about greed.
Which Plant is thyme warp but not bound to its own world?
For some reason I kinda want sea-shroom back
It’s coming back alright
Boom
They updated the Thyme Warp, it no longer heals zombies when they are sent back at the start of the lawn which is very helpful
Yes good
I wish they did balance changes...making plants that make the game kinda easy slightly less powerful and making the plants that really aren’t that good a bit better
The garlic and sun bean are in a pretty sad position rn
Yes thank you finally a pvz video. You made my day.
Awesome!
Favorite world! Let’s get my list started:
6: Garlic (He has some uses like you mentioned, primarily to lure zombies into the range of Phat Beet or Electric Currant, but gets killed way quicker and is just all around useless).
Still tops the list though!)
Next up, we have the 3 hardest worlds in the game.
Now on to the good ones
3: intensive carrot: definitely useful for when you have an expensive plant and only have 100 sun, it's definitely a good plant and I would recommend using it...
2: spore shroom; I don't know why but this plant seems like it would be in the first game if the roof had a nighttime version, it's definitely useful...
There's only one left
1: celery stalker: this plant is just really to me, it helps me a lot, and I would definitely recommend using it!
So that's my crappy list.
Since when does it recover their health ??
pepsi man since it was introduced lol
It doest recover to full health just partially
If they brought back the Doom Shroom it’s gonna be a paid plant -_-
You place it behind the Portal at Modern Day, It can slap any unlucky zombies that come out from portal
Couting premiums:
Cactus would be between intensive Carrot and thyme warp, he isnt very usefull but also not bad.
Electric Blueberry ofcourse number one, probably the most OP plant ever.

@@GNVS300 the gloom shroom has amazing dps but short range but you can use garlic or pumpkin to basically remove that fact
@@monke274 yea so the only really disadvantage that it had is that it takes up 3 seeds slots in day levels as you need fume shroom coffee bean and offourcouase the gloomshroom
0:31 I was JUMPSCARED by this sound.
Not sure if many people know this but Ultomato's plant food effect at level 1 is as strong as Doom Shroom.
1, it's a single-use plant with a long recharge
2, it leaves a crater, which prevents you from using that tile for a while.
@@mikethegoo Ultomato's pf effect, like Doom-shroom, deals a massive 1800 dps of damage over a 5x7 area.

It does not take place night. If you look at the edges of the map, you will see shadows. It also explains the sun falling.

1. theme warp, say you have stunions and puff shrooms to stall a gargantuar, then it reached to your house, theme warp: does their thing, gargantuar: NANI
Phat beet should do double damage, add the ability to stun zombies like primal peashooter and significantly increase its plant food power.

It's underrated but I like it
How did I get first place?
Popcap uploads boom balloon flower and gives plant food and sents doom shroom lol
1. Celery Stalker: Somewhat hard to get used to but they deal devastating damage to what is behind it.
my list: including premium plants
8th: phat beet
nerfed gloom shroom with small speed, and when the boombox zombies come, you can just pick them off anyways, doesn't work well with wall nuts and it's back attack is usually not needed when u even get the chance to use it you won't think of phat beet, only celery stalkers and stuff
7th: intensive carrot
isn't mentioned much at all, easy to forget, wastes a seed slot, and oh wow no super op tall nut strats and stuff, and high cost plants are usually safe or too powerful anyways
6th: garlic
works wonders with the electric currant (that I have) and helps plants like split pea and celery stalker safely chip off the health of zombies, and with enough sun, can pay for itself, just needs to have no instant killers
5th: spore shroom
overall powerful but loses drastically because of it's powerful but slow attacks usually being stolen, and the defense is still much weaker with it alone and clones will be eaten easily, barely landing more than a couple shots, plus it has no refunds on the clones, good plant but needs a buff
4th: cactus
whenever I use this plant, it's awesome, it has a powerful attack, and a creative ground mode, the downside is that in ground mode, it will be dug up, smashed and stuff instead, and a normal spikeweed doesn't deal that much dmg without a wall, so it's usually either ground mode or not, and ground mode is a scam, and if a zombie passes, it will be strong enough to pass it anyways
3rd: thyme warp
lifesaver, stalls heavily and even with the health regen, it forms clusters for cherry bombs to deal with, and gives lot of sun time too, the problem is that It doesn't do anything else really, so It can't do much
2nd: celery stalker
insane damage, low price, fine recharge, perfect with garlic, but will be dug up and smashed when it is defensive placed, like in front of a wall nut, but can beat up zombies when placed past them,
OP
1st: electric blueberry
would've made the final phase easy as pie, can use lightning quickly, powerful, affordable, a bit annoying recharge, this thing is worth the 0.10 cents of renting
I can't believe viddy's vids actually made this an f tier
Electric Currant now has a built in Garlic feature. So using Garlic will be obsolete.
Also Viddy's Vids only put E. Blueberry on F tier because it's a money premium plant.

Honestly though if they wanted to nerf Garlic, they should have at least make him a bit more expensive. Not wait 20 seconds and trash health.
@@10thDoctorWhoovez if i am correct he has the same health as in pvz 1 just that zombies take an extra bite so he end ups being eaten faster

6th- Garlic- Garlic was good in the first game but who the heck would want this in the second game??? There are SOOOOOO many better options in PvZ 2!
5th- Thyme Warp- I loved this plant! Then I realized it healed zombies. Now it’s down here.
4th- Phat Beat- not much to say here...
3rd- Intensive Carrot- I like this plant but I really have never had a problem with zombies destroying my expensive plants seeing I normally use cheaper plants that have no real reason to be brought back if eaten.
2nd- Spore Shroom- not really much to say that hasn’t already been said
1st- Celery Stalker- this thing is great. Just great
Here's my list:
1) Celery stalker: An awesome plant which can deal with the zombies backward especially in jurassic marsh, it can also tackle hair metal gargantuar.
My ranking:
But overall it’s not a bad support plant to have when relying on an expensive plant such as Melon pult or banana launcher or any wall nut
Celery is one of my favourite plants
Neon Mixtape Tour Ranking

2.Intensive Carrot:Very good for reviving expensive plants
1.Celery Stalker:Very good for insta killing garguantuars if combined with iceberg, stallia or stunion
6. Garlic - He was good in the first game due to being nearly as tough as a wall nut but now it takes 3 bites to finish it off. They should’ve brought back doom shroom instead.
5. Phat Beet - The weaker gloom-shroom. Does less damage and less fire rate
4. Thyme Warp - It’s good in it’s own world because it can only be used in it’s own world. But... Hocus Crocus exists now and could be used in all other worlds. At least Hocus Crocus could damage zombies
3. Spore Shroom - This guy can save you sun for defeating zombies. His damage is pretty good as well while being a lobbing plant. I always thought lobbing plants are better than straight shooters
2. Celery Stalker - Hehe, Gargantuars go brr. Although he sucks in levels with high zombie density
1. Intensive Carrot - He can save you a lot of sun if one of your expensive plants are dead. He can even revive Hypno-Shrooms and etc. However it is really pointless to use it on something like a puff shroom or chili bean

4.Thime Warp (Similar to the intensive carrot except a bit more useful, this plant is really a last resort as in if you are about to die and the zombies have reached your house, otherwise it's a waste of 75 sun)
3. Phat beet (Does constant damage around him, can be good with garlic but it's damage is low average and not good with the neon mixtape your zombies)
2. Spore-shroom (Being able to make more spore-shroom by it killing a zombie is crazy good and it's long range making them more useful in neon mixtape tour than any of the other plants)
1.celery stalker (Even though it can't become as useful in the world it was unlocked in than the spore shroom, it can come really handy in other worlds since this plant attacks zombies behind it doing great damage while holding off any zombies that comes in the of it before it ducks in the ground to prevent getting eaten but it can still get owned by zombies that doesn't eat the plants)
My list:
6-Intensive Carrot
5-Garlic
4-Thyme-Warp
3-Phat-Beat
2-Spore-Shroom
1-Celery Stalker
My list is pretty similar
6-Intensive carrot
5-Garlic
4-phat beat
3-spore shroom
2-thyme warp
1-Celery stalker
However I say all of them but celery and thyme warp are trash
@@khajasodhuu2821 Correction but I say celery and thyme warp are good but all the rest are pretty bad
Hey PopCap! I'm still waiting or the Doom-Shroom to be back! PopCap: Boom Balloon Flower plant food. Take it, or leave it
Me: buys electric current for garlic
MC Zom-b and Hair metal garagntuar: I’m gonna have to stop you right there
The world when things starts to get hard:
4. Intensive Carrot: I know it's a good plant, but I never used XD
5. Phat beet: It's a bad gloom-shroom.
6. Garlic: Still useless.
What about the crap-thing now that its not as exspensive? Is it good now
It's better, but still not good.
GNVS well atleast we can agree the design is good, rigth?
Yeah, the design's nice
My list: 8: electric blueberry, it’s only useful for Gargs because it insta kills them
7: garlic, good with electric currant strategies and rotobaga and starfruit strategies
6: cactus: it’s main purpose is for the neon mixtape tour boss fight, one of the worst
5: phat beet: it’s low damege makes it useless but when you plant it in multiple rows it’s useful
4: celery stalker, a sweet plant with the plant food effect to duplicate but serves for glitter zombies
3: intensive carrot, if your high sun cost plant dies intensive carrot will save your days
2: thyme warp, I would top it in the list if it wasn’t world exclusive because that makes no sense
1: spore shroom, I rarely use it in the final levels of neon mixtape tour because it’s good for its damege which I,ll allow and spawning a clown of it when it deafeats a zombie makes it very good when doing hard worlds
That’s my list
What a P2W player, Premium plants don't count
I know but I am just adding them because yes
I never use the Phat Beat. Everytime i plant one above the lane where the zombie walks, another zombie walks into the same lane as the plant

You can use plant food to recharge plant cool down so if you have spare plant food it’s a good plant
0:40 This makes me so sad to see garlik down so low! Gloom walk used to be a really op strat where you would use garlic to force zombos into empty lanrs with gloom shrooms constantly attacking them, but this strat is kinda hard now they are no gloom-shrooms. :(
Not to mention that Garlic also has slow recharge and weak health.
What about the gloom vine?
Can’t wait!
Would phat beat and gloom vine combined be considered the PvZ 2 gloom shroom?
I doesn't really take place at night 'cause you can still collect sun falling
1:46 boom balloon flower plant food released a doom shroom
Does intensive carrot work on explosives?
