Man watching this now reminds me of how spoiled we were to watch that swing and the sound of that contact. Plus his clothes look better then the clothes they wear today.
@@jamesroboyle Bridgestone specifically made tiger’s ball and Nike gave them so much to put their branding on it. I’ll have to find you the link where I read that
@@jm2206 I heard the same about his Nike blades …. Heard they were custom forged by mizuno or titleist with a Nike brand on them . You know what I’m talking about right ? I’m sure you’ve heard that story if you know about the golf ball . I know that Nike had to pay off a small settlement at one point for false advertising when someone found out that Tiger’s actual ball that he was playing with was actually 5% harder than the ones that were being sold . I remember that .
It's amazing how many miss-hits he had off the tee in his prime. He really did just try to take as much distance off the hole he could. Unbelievable approach shots and short game however (obviously).
Well there’s no other golfer I’d be watching highlights of a Friday round from a WGC 16 years ago
TheLocalLt hahahaha facts.

I agree. I like the jet black or brown shoes back then compared to the “tennis shoe” style that everybody wears today.
Your on a roll.
MORE PLEASE! I need more videos of this era. How do you find all this?
Look how far Tiger was hitting it back then, compared to todays players (exept maybe Bryson or Cameron Champ). He was swinging it well over 120 mph!
love the reaction of the dude shaking his head after tiger hit that shot 0:08
He’s still the engine that propels the game
His 2 iron drive on 7 went 281 yards. That’s with an old school blade and a early prototype spinny Bridgestone ball with Nike stamped on it. Unreal.
I didn’t realize Bridgestone actually produced Nikes Golf Balls

0:39 ANYONE who does this now saw this man at his peak....
Also wtf just realized this isn’t at Firestone its at Sahalee, why did they take it away that year?
I think Firestone was going through a Tom Fazio redesign that year. The 16th needed more lengthening.
Tiger's fault haha....more Tiger Proofing.
@@Golfsauce Actually the reason it was moved to Sahalee was because Firestone hosted the Senior PGA that year.
