- The Open Championship takes great pride in welcoming back former champions to the world's oldest golf tournament. And it is always wonderful to see Tiger Woods competing for the Claret Jug.
Back in 2004 at The 133rd Open, Royal Troon saw Tiger in search of his second Open victory (following his triumph in 2000). By this point, Woods had been World No.1 for over 1800 days, so expectations were high.
The American was watched closely throughout the tournament, but he was unable to claim victory - finishing tied for 9th, alongside Canada's Mike Weir, while Todd Hamilton won the major after a dramatic playoff with Ernie Els.
These are the best moments from Tiger Woods at The Open in 2004.

Which shot of this collection was the best?
The one from the bunker
Best putter I’ve ever watched ⛳️⛳️👍👍
I'm glad tiger won the masters championship on this course. Truly amazing.
@Theopen is it possible to get the full round replays. Please!!!
That’s the tiger woods we remember
Best golfer to grace the Scottish shores
really appreciate the usage of the neptunes here lol
One of tigers best swings under Hank Haney arguably better than the butch Harmon era with that iron play
All personal opinion of course but Hanks swing is Tigers best swing in my opinion. The look of it was just absolutely beautiful, and the iron play was magnificent. I could watch it all day
Hanks swing sucked
His iron game under Haney (specifically 2006 if I remember correctly) was just easily the best iron play ever. Wedge game was probably better too but omg the driver was just awful.
@@BasedHadrian I *think* it actually wasn’t a statistically bad as people think. Remember that Tiger was so good that every single drive he hit off line got hyper analysed
Driver couldn’t have been all that bad, he was 4th, 3rd, and 8th in sg:off the tee in 2005, 2006, 2007 respectively
The bunker shot.
. 0:10 0:45 1:09 2:01 2:26 3:34 4:23 4:49 5:47 6:12 7:12 7:39 8:55 9:12 9:56 10:11 10:55 11:17 12:12 12:48 .
Where did he finish this year
T9, 7 shots back
Someone teaching tiger how to swing a club i just wonder
9:35 LOL
Did you see any bad ones!?
Greg Norman spent most of his career getting his ass handed to him
He shot 3 great rounds! Lol
When Tiger still wears FootJoy
That course looks terrible
Links courses are generally very uneasy on the eye and plain looking. No real features and most are bland looking.
