Just got back from our Carnival Imagination cruise and we used several of your tips. It was very helpful information. We put fabric softener sheets in the luggage, brought lanyards, my mom put her shoes in shower caps, brought a highlighter to highlight best activities, she brought a shoe holder to hang on the door, she decorated our door, she brought a night light, brought a power strip for the plug, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, binoculars, my mom had the collapsible hamper, jackets, mug with lid etc.
Love you guys! We will be going on the Carnival Conquest in September 2022 and I am watching all of your videos! (Stalker 😂) Being a first time cruiser, I have no idea what to expect and I just love all of your tips and videos. From our Louisiana family to yours thank you!
We're leaving soon on Carnival Breeze. First family vacation ever! 2 Grandmas, 2 Grandsons and my adult daughter and her husband. So excited! Thanks for all your helpful tips!
My best friend and I are going on our very first cruise soon! I love your videos, I've seen so many different tip videos but I always come back to your page people it's the most informative for me and keep my interest! You guys are the best!
I love you guys. I've watched a gazillion cruise videos this month (I'm going in October) but you're by far my favorite. Great energy and great tips! I love the tip to take a picture of the Fun Times to separate photos on your phone. Awesome and thank you for making these! Hope to see more!
I'm going on my first cruise in my life and I'm 51. We are going on a transatlantic cruise with Norwegian and I'm so excited, but so nervous at the same time. My biggest adventures have been so far have been hunting/fishing/camping in Northern Maine, sooooo pretty tame compared to this. You guys are so helpful. Thank you so much for taking the time to do all this. You are so helpful... :)
I really like you guys.Ya'll help me out a lot we went on our 1st cruise in August 2019 and thanks to y'all I knew a little about what to expect I keep looking at all the stuff about cruising. I believe I'm hooked. Well good job! I'm sure I'll see you later
One thing I did learn from a recent trip to Australia is that you can use a power adapter for the other plug, I think most ships use a European plug. The one I bought has changeable interfaces for differing countries, once plugged in, it gives you two additional US outlets and two USB ports. Keep in mind this is still 220 volts so you can't plug just anything into it. It is fine for most electronic items like computer chargers which are designed now for a range of voltages. Make sure you check the specs, they are usually printed (in very small print) on the bottom of the computer or the charging block, it might say something like 110-220V. It will likely be a bad idea to plug something like a fan or hair dryer into it! I have also found on several ships there is an extra US outlet behind the TV. Keep up the great work. We are more fans of NCL so were glad to see your Bliss videos as we will be on it next April as it heads back to Seattle.
Awesome tips as usual. I cannot wait to book a cruise. I love to be prepared too so this will really help. Cool you’re leaving to cruise on my birthday! Thanks again. - Angie
Thanks so much Angie!!! You will have to let me know once you have booked one!!! A first cruise is so exciting and as much as you enjoy the Caribbean, you will love it!
I WAY over think/plan everything. Going on our first cruise this summer. I have watched a Ton of videos and read over a Ton of websites. You guys were the first to mention the fb groups dedicated to each specific cruise! Thank you ☺
Make sure your kids have done all their homework before you leave your house. It makes the holiday so much more enjoyable for the whole family and makes it so that when you get back you aren’t frantically trying to get your children to do it the night you get back when you’re all tired and sad.
Your videos are so helpful. I've been on a couple of cruises as a teen but this will be my husband and our kids first cruise for Christmas on the Horizon this year. He has been nervous about what to expect, I showed him all your videos and now he is so very excited. 😊 Thank you!
I was just looking up tips for cruising about on, and found this awesome little channel!. Y'all have definitely found a new subscriber in me, and I can't wait to see more of your helpful (and hilarious) videos 💖
The last one I believe is very important. I spend a lot of time on the cruise line's web site getting familiar with the ship so I know where dining and bar options are and figure out where I might want to spend time with.
The Sunshine is probably the best of all the Carnival cruise's we've been on .We are booking another for early spring. The cruise director was the best we've ever had. Enjoy!
Leaving out of Galveston on Sept 1 on the Freedom can't wait thanks for all the helpful videos. I have been binge watching you for a week lol. No internet or TV because of line problems, but I can watch the videos on my phone
Awesome information..I already did everything u said...except the over packing...I just can not not bring alot of clothes..LOL...and I always go to Miami the day before the cruise.u guys did awesome..and yes everyone has their fav color ribbon on their bags that I get from Michaels craft store
I just found your videos and love you guys! Got my Hubbs watching you guys and we're in process of binge watching your cruises on UA-cam! Going on our first cruise in September and were nervous about it, but you've alleviated our fears by showing us what to expect! Thank you guys! Your family is so cute and fun to watch too - we're thoroughly entertained! Lol! Take Care!
Hey Terri! I am so glad you found our channel! A first cruise is so exciting... be prepared to become addicted, we were hooked after our first one! If you have any questions, just ask :)
I wanted to let you know I just found your UA-cam channel 2 days ago and I'm planning my trip with my fiance for our honeymoon when we get married in 2 years and we're going on Carnival we will be sailing out of Galveston in August and I got to tell you I love your videos you guys have given me some insights because I'm planning the whole thing and you guys have given me inside I have Pages upon Pages just from your videos of what to take how to pack what to do before the crude what to do when you're on the cruise I mean I just want to thank you because I would have been lost I have been on cruises before but that was when I was a kid and I never planned any of it and I don't remember half of what we did or even with the cruise that wasn't entailed so thank you thank you thank you and I'm hoping since I live in Oklahoma if you guys cruise out of Galveston that you gave live close to me I'm hoping one day maybe we can all be in a cruise and we can all meet cuz you seem like a terrific couple and would love to meet you both.
YAY! The Horizon looks amazing!!! I was just looking at the bookings for this ship over the weekend to see if we could fit in another cruise this year :) I hope these tips are helpful for you!
Hi! I just booked my 1st cruise 😊 carnival dream from Galveston to cozumel & Yucatan Oct 5,2019 it's a Bday Cruise for my boyfriend (oct 4)and I (oct 6) I can't wait 😆 thank for the great videos
Enjoy your video's, I have been on Carnival and enjoyed, but your video told me some things I didn't know about. Thanks. PS, your luggage won't be at your cabin right away, so we usually go to lunch on deck before leaving port. By the time we are done, luggage is outside our cabin door. The first time this happened, (no bags) I was in a panic. Don't be, they will get there. Bags not arriving I think is rare. At least I haven't talked to anyone who didn't get their bags. Cruises are wonderful!
So glad you are enjoying the videos! We have started carrying on our luggage and have been lucky enough all but once to be able to drop in straight in the room. I agree, cruises are wonderful!
Awesome and VERY informative video. A few more tips: 1. Book your shore excursions ahead of time. They are usually cheaper and they're less likely to be sold out. If you book through the cruise line you have the security of knowing it's the cruise lines problem not yours if anything happens and you're late getting back to the ship. The ship either has to wait for you or fly the passengers to the next port. (Another reason to HAVE A PASSPORT for EVERYONE in your party even if it's not required to board). 2. Make sure your boarding documents are in your carry on not your checked luggage. 3. Wear a watch and keep it set according to ship time NOT port time. They are not always the same and people have been left in port because of this. You don't want to be one. Your cellphone may not have the right time in a foreign country either especially if you don't have data.
I pack 3 times..seems to be the charm for me .. I usually dont forget anything but this yr 2018 i did forget one thing..it was a peticoat that i had mended..didnt realize it wasnt in the case until i got on the ship and went to wear a dress that needed one lol..as for suitcases being able to be spotted.. ive done well there.. Had a bright pink one yr and put my own jewellery around the handle ..No other case was like it.. Next yr a floral number ..again no others like it and this time was the same..A mint green number with indented pattern and again none like it.. So this girl got that spot on :)
In case my documentation (receipts, drivers license, passport, etc.) might get lost, seized, or destroyed, I scan my important documents and email them to myself. I can retrieve the images anywhere I can get to my email.
EECC Travels thinking to go to Alaska so those cruises Gull Lake from June through August so yeah I think I might go with a friend so we're still alive figuring out stuff but this were good ideas so any more vices
my cruise is July 1st from San Juan and we are flying in the morning( we leave Fort Lauderdale around 10/10:30am so we should reach about 12/1pm) of because the cruise departs at around 10 at night. I'm so excited because it's my first cruise and its also my cousin and I's graduation present #classof2018
Knitting needles allowed? Couldn't find answer anywhere on site. Also, thanks for videos. About to cruise, but big concern for Hurricane John in Baja California.
If they are not on the restricted list then they are allowed. I swear I think I saw someone knitting on my last cruise. I hope you enjoy your cruise and the hurricane doesn't effect your trip!
I have been binge watching your channel - really enjoy your videos. My 11 year old daughter gets a kick out of your kiddos. Just as a FYI - Royal Caribbean and Celebrity do not have laundry rooms for the public. :-)
Thanks so much Annie! And I'm glad your daughter is enjoying them too! I did heat that RCCL didn't have laundry, but didn't know about Celebrity. Too bad, it is a nice feature for those who want or need to use it.
Regarding the fb groups: I made a friend in one, physically met her on the ship, and we still talk almost daily, and it’s been about a year since our cruise!
That is so great! We have been back for a few days and everyone is posting their pictures and videos in the group. It is so great to see everyone still interacting!
Hey Deidre! So glad you are back! Yes, we will probably cruise on the Valor once it moves to NOLA. It's nice that Carnival rotates it's ships so we have options. I know, his hair is crazy long now!!! :)
EECC Travels yes, please let me know what you will need for the quote. We will be on carnival breeze for 7 days to the W. Caribbean. There are four of us.
Are we limited on how many carry on bags per person you can have. So can me and my husband have a carry on suitcase and a shoulder bag each that we don’t have to check and we can carry onto the ship with us?
Your videos are so informative. We're doing our first cruise in October. Boarding the Carnival dream out of New Orleans. Do u prepay your port excursions or wait til u board. Also what excursions have u done? We're in our mid 50s. Thanks
Hi Laurence! The Dream was a fantastic ship, we had a wonderful time! We normally prebook the excursions so we can take our time at home to research them and not spend time on our cruise waiting in line to book them. What ports are you going to? I can try to give you some ideas!
Do you guys have a cruise planned??? You are so close to Seattle, an Alaskan cruise would be amazing... That is on our to-do list in the next couple of years.
Not yet, but we've been looking into a western caribbean. An Alaskan cruise would be really cool, but we live in a mostly cold and rainy place, so somewhere tropical is just more appealing to us. :)
Just got back from our Carnival Imagination cruise and we used several of your tips. It was very helpful information. Oh fantastic! I am so glad you had a great cruise and that our tips helped you have a good experience!

Thank y’all so much for all the great videos! I have learned so much. We take our first cruise this July on the Carnival Freedom!!
The last one I believe is very important. I spend a lot of time on the cruise line's web site getting familiar with the ship so I know where dining and bar options are and figure out where I might want to spend time with.
I swear I memorize the deck plans before ever leaving the house :)
Your videos are the best. Thank you.
Thanks Gail!
Great ideas guys! Never thought about the fb group! Going on the sunshine may 26th!

I intend to make a blanket on my cruise.

Whatever ship time is. Some change with the time zones and some stay with the time zone from the home port.

Thank y’all for the tips! They’re awesome! My First Cruise is in Feb 2019 on the Dream!
Oh and OMG! Y’all are in my home state!!! I’m in Morgan City!!
Hey Justin! The Dream is an awesome ship and great for a first cruise! Very careful cool that you are from LA too, we live in Alexandria.
Ive been m.i.a. ive missed u guys... The valor is in nola...will u guys try it out or have u all been on it. Gosh Jason's hair has grown
Hey Deidre! So glad you are back! Yes, we will probably cruise on the Valor once it moves to NOLA. It's nice that Carnival rotates it's ships so we have options. I know, his hair is crazy long now!!! :)
Thanks for so many great suggestions! One question, do you have a suggestion for a third party insurance?
Yes, look at Allianz online or I would be happy to provide you a quote through our travel agency.
EECC Travels yes, please let me know what you will need for the quote. We will be on carnival breeze for 7 days to the W. Caribbean. There are four of us.
Will you please send me an email at eecctravels@gmail.com? Thanks
I just sent you an email message.
Are we limited on how many carry on bags per person you can have. So can me and my husband have a carry on suitcase and a shoulder bag each that we don’t have to check and we can carry onto the ship with us?
I went to your travel website but didn't see the 101 cruise tips. Can I please have the link? Thank you!
There is a link in the description of this video and in the pinned comment.
Where do you usually park in the New Orleans port ?
Haven't been on a cruise in many years, so this was really helpful. Thanks!
Oh I totally get that! I think that’s why Alaska seems so cool to us. Let us know what you decide 😀
The carnival site says your door decoration has to be fire retardant, do you do this? How? Have you had any taken down?
Can you put a link for the apps you use during this cruises. Please
