How awesome! Glad she got to fly with her Dad and made some great memories. 😊
United Pilots are awesome 👏 I used to drive the bus for them what a great group of folks.
Wonderful 👍
Awesome story. Let's Go Bales family.
What an awesome story 😢
Very wonderful story.
Unprecedented
Very nice.
Captain Bales is such a humble gentleman... He appears MORE than capable to continue flying... Wish there were a way to get past that Mandatory Retirement rule !
Pilots airlines.

That has to be a sad feeling, having to retire due to a federal age mandate. But I get it.

Great to see female pilots! We need more of the them, as they fly safer than the males.
I understand it's a very special experience to grow up with a pilot father and to be his co-pilot... But it would've been a nightmare for me. Taking driving lesson from my late father was more than awful enough, I wouldn't have been able to handle flying an airliner with him. (Neither of us was/is ever a pilot.)

[USERNAME] 🚀! Love aviation!
Sheeshes.... I thought he had a terminal illness... so what, everyone retires.
Yes, let’s get her into the seat with no experience, so they can have a photo ops for retirement. More and more, United hires inexperience pilots just to have a story for family on the flight deck and not experience pilot. Sick and tired of that.
