The 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT does 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, the 1/4 mile in 11.8 seconds, and charges 20% faster!
With the performance pkg it’s 0-60 in 3.3 without the pkg it’s 0-60 3.7
Hey Liv & Patrick! That green & bronze package looks so stinkin’ good. Really appreciate your input on the car. Sounds like from a daily experience, there’s really no difference with the 2021-23 GT Performance except at the edges of the accelerator pedal and on road trips. Great to have you in the Seattle area!

All these appearance changes are great but the two biggest problems have not been addressed IMO, Charging speed and winter range loss. I really thought they would address these two major sticking points especially for those of us customers living in Canada
Charging is 20% faster.
@@MachE_VLOG20% faster is still slow. I have a Mach E and my wife has an Ioniq 5. I know what fast charging really looks like
@@mjsabie8517 The HMG vehicles definitely set the bar for fast charging when conditions are right. But the 20% increase is very helpful and makes it comparable or better than other 400v vehicles like the Model Y.
@@MachE_VLOG the problem is they are playing catch up and I don’t think they even caught all the way up. I’m hoping for a bigger refresh with the 25 models and nacs included. Don’t get me wrong.. I love my Mach E but it’s just not a great road trip car.
@@mjsabie8517 Bigger things will come but it is unrealistic to switch to 800v right now. We've found it to be perfectly fine on road trips. Add in the fact that we now have SuperCharger access and it has gotten even better. We've done 1,100 plus mile road trips where it was great but faster charging would be welcomed. But we've also done a lot of 300 miles in a day road trips where a few minutes difference is no big deal -- especially considering we just got lunch while it charged.
Great overview! The new wheels don't look bad, but as with the bronze package overall, I think it needs to be seen in person to really judge. Not a fan of the new Premium wheels, so maybe that would necessitate using them with winter tires, and get something better for summer use. I can't help but think we're on the cusp of a mid-cycle refresh with 2025 getting a host of updates (J3400, heat pump, etc.), but one can be paralyzed by "what might be coming" forever.
And now that the Premium can do 0-60 in 4.1 seconds, it is plenty quick for a lot of people wanting performance.
I've seen the bronze package at NYC auto show and it looks awesome.
Here's my question, will the older Mach-Es get a charging curve update too or only the refresh Mach-Es get thevjew charging curve?
That charging curve update would be amazeballs for the 2021-23 cars. Sadly, I think the older cars are orphaned despite the hardware likely being fully capable.
Did you ask if they intend to bring this power update to previous models?
There’s no way they can make similar performance updates on the older cars since there’s distinct hardware differences with the 2024s. Ford could probably do some improvements on the older cars but that would require budget and talent resources that they have no interest in investing in.
The copper accents are one of the main reasons I got the GT and not the GTPE (and $5k cheaper). I'm a huge fan of the standardization of the GT line now with feature parity in hardware, but why can we not customize the interiors at all? Let us pick interior accent colors, seats and primary interior color. Personally I really want a GT with white interior. The black/copper on 2023 is nice but give us more options, not less Ford.
I ordered a 2024 Mach E GT Performance, Green without Bronze Pkg, nor glass roof, Friday. I wanted a Rally, but not a fan of all the white. Looking forward to Christmas! Thank you for all the info!
The “in-app purchase” is a no go for me if the hardware is there. I have a 2023 GT Perf I just purchased and was initially feeling bummed about missing out on the new motors, but I’m not willing to appropriate the software feature lock.
Offering a software performance enhancement option that can be purchased later is a bad idea. May be there is some extra warranty coverage which some of that upgrade package goes to. However that is still pretty silly, just increase the price of the car by a lit bit and unlock all of its performance.
We have a 2023 select MME in Grabber blue but really like the 2024 GT in green/bronze.

Wish they made the charging curve, nav mapping and operating system faster/ better. Update For later models. DC Charging info in the car is needed.

Wish they would do away with the glass roof or at least make it an option.. I image insurance costs would go down as well as heating and cooling requirements. Maybe even the overall cost of the vehicle.
Edit. Paywalls are the most ridiculous thing on the planet. I personally won't ever partake just out of principle. It's like personal property tax. You have to pay for the privilege to have nice things.

Were you able to ask the engineers about any of improvements to charging time or performance coming to previous year Mach-Es?
I did. They will have to do testing and modeling for previous years. That is being evaluated but no commitments.

Thanks for the video. It sounds like an incremental improvement with the Premium. Since I mostly drive alone or with one passenger I would like the better range over the MagneRide. I would rather have the metal roof if I can get Premium ER RWD as well. I wonder if some of the charging improvements will make it to the older Mach-E. I guess it depends if there are hardware/cooling changes. I found on a trip to Xenia Ohio for Hamvention that charging did excellent, especially at Tesla Superchargers. I will likely wait a few years until they have a solid-state battery.
I heard they changed the transmission ratio to get the extra torque so the higher pitch could be higher motor RPM.
Interesting that they went to the Michelin Cross Climate tires on the Rally. After 70k miles on my MME I need to get new tires so I am getting the Nokian Remedy WRG05 All-Weather tires. Finally a local tire dealer can get them in the right size.
Sss… weeeeet! It seems like EV makers are swelling their performance models. I wonder how this GT would perform compared to the Ioniq 5 N…? I think Krista forget the kitchen sink…? Hmmm. Methinks the Ioniq 5 charging next to you hadn't used its battery preconditioning before plugging in. I'm GLAD YOU have your Supercharging update and adapter. GM has removed its J3400 adapter part #85090442 from its supply store, so who knows when other EVs will be able to join you and Rivian in that transition…? Grrrr.
Rally does not necessarily mean dirt or gravel, it can also mean asphalt or even snow. Pretty safe to say the majority of the purchased Rally MMEs will be tarmac queens so why not come up with a nicer set of rally wheels like the asphalt Puma Rally1 or Fiesta WRC or, go back a little earlier, the Focus RS WRC with 5-spoke OZ wheels. So many choices!
I'm wondering how much to order the sinister bronze wheels for my 2023 ford mustang mach-e. I'm not able to find a website to even check the price.

Also I have a 2022 GT PE - Worth upgrading to Rally or new 2024 GT?
Did you get to speak to anyone about winter range? That is the second biggest disadvantage to the Mach E in my opinion behind the charging speed.

I love everything about the Mach-e except the rims. Can your channel do a comparison between the Mach-e and the Ioniq 5/6? Hyundai looks like they have one of the best EVs being produced. I am hoping to test drive one as well as the Mach-e.
We have a review coming soon on the Ioniq 5. It was the Disney Edition but I'm hoping we can test out the Ioniq 5 N sometime this summer. The Ioniq 5 & 6 have really great charging so that is the biggest plus for them. The negatives are pretty small on the Ioniq 5 for the most part - no frunk, you have to plug in for CarPlay or Android Auto, etc. The non-N versions are slower than the non-GT versions of the Mach-E, but the N version is really quick.
That banner with the performance numbers is *SOOO* confusing. Why would you list horsepower with no bar, but put a long bar for torque, then a long bar for 0-60, when you'd think "short bar to show time" would be better, and a *MEDIUM* bar for 1/4 mile time?
I know those aren't meant to be "bar graph bars" but that's certainly what the visual look appears.

I have a 2024 Mach E - Standard Edition ordered as a company car. The build week is scheduled for 6/24/24. I'm really excited. I had the choice of the Mach E or a Tesla, and I chose the Mach E for sure! I do have a question though, are there any issues with putting the Mach E in a drive through automatic car wash? Love your VLog and the accessory demos!
No problem using an automatic car wash. If you have to leave the car in neutral and exit the car, there is a simple procedure. With your foot on the brake, shift to N. A message will pop up telling you to press the L button on the shifter. Then you can release the brake and the car will remain in Neutral. Patrick, the 11.8s quarter-mile is quite quick. But you stated it was faster than an Electric Macan. That would be true for the bass model; however, the Macan turbo does 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds and quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds. But it is a different price point.😊

Yeah, even the base Macan is a pricey upgrade over the Mach-E GT. The more direct competition is the Model Y Performance.

Just got a 2023 Mach E premium extended range RWD for an absolute crazy good deal and then that sweet sweet 0% financing on top. Absolutely loving the car but now fighting the urge for a 24 GT. New GT rims look fantastic.
If I could make 2 changes I would like to see cooled seats added and round off the tray where your leg rests as you drive. Digs into my calf and can get uncomfortable. Other than those two things happy with everything else

Thank you! Space white metallic. The gas savings are real too, we have a long commute to work but get to charge there an it’s amazing how much less we spent in gas this last month

Were you able to know what the difference in suspension between Rally and GT? GT sometimes is rough... will the rally suspension be softer?

Not for 2024. The 2024 Lightning added one.
Ford can't give these things away ... there are still "brand new" 2022's on the lot. A rushed to market Mexican made EV. Sorry, the people who wanted this already have one ... and there were not many. EV credits going away make these a very hard sell.

@@MachE_VLOG Haha ... no. Not even close. It was NEVER a popular vehicle and 2023 was abysmal. The market had fallen off a cliff in 2024. The plant in Cuatitlan has slowed to a snails pace. High interest rates and lack of EV credits may be its demise. "SOLD" is sold to dealers, not people.

@@MachE_VLOG Hmmm... sure seems to be just tons at dealers ... and at auction brand new ... but the plant has not been producing in volume for a while. Something is not mathing here.
@@PANIC_aka_PinD Dealer inventories went down as Ford cleared inventory for 2024 and is why they had the big increase in sales. The plant paused production so they could switch over to the new motor, rear assembly, and more for 2024 model year. As mentioned in the video the best sales day ever for the Mach-E occured in April.
