Klarälven

The Klarälven is one of the longest rivers in Scandinavia. We were fortunate to live half a year next to the river and see the seasons change. In fall the birch trees color gold, in winter the river completely freezes, in springs and summer the area turns green again. We captured this video just before the beginning of winter. The weather was still humid and night temperatures dropped to -10 degrees, turning the landscape into a frozen scene. Just brilliant.
We are Zoë and Olivier, together we are WeLeaf. We are traveling around the world on human power since September 2016. We left Amsterdam by bicycle, hitchhiked across the Atlantic Ocean, cycled the Americas, north and south, hiked on the AT, did the complete Northern Forest Canoe Trail, and skied for two months in the Quebec winter.
