Winter camping and cooking - what to eat on a winter adventure

Camping in winter is completely different than summer camping. One of the challenges is food, because most food contains water which will freeze in winter. We have been skiing two months on the North Shore in Quebec, having to rethink our way of cooking. We will show you how we cook and what we eat.
We are Zoë and Olivier, together we are WeLeaf. We are travelling around the world on human power since September 2016. We left Amsterdam by bicycle, hitchhiked across the Atlantic Ocean, cycled the Americas, north and south, hiked on the AT and did the complete Northern Forest Canoe Trail. Hi guys!
You are so inspiering.
Really must try to dehydrate some food myself. Don't like the industrial taste eighter..
One little tip from me is to put some sticky tape on metall containers for example your thermos container or other metall gear you might come in contact with without gloves. Just for preventing frostbite injuries during winter.
Now I'm going to check your other vids too🙂

I think I would bring hamburger. Can go from frozen to the pan. A can of hot dog chili is a can of chili seasoning. 1 can hot dog chili + 1/2 can water + 1/2 pound hamburger plus onions & cheese makes a hot bowl of chili.

Sounds like a good idea! The can of hot dog chili will freeze though, so if it doesn't use to much fuel to defrost, it will work :)
