I forgot to mention, this video is specifically about full-frame Z lenes! Plenty of great Z DX lenses too, but that's for another video. Thanks for watching everyone. 🙂

Another informative video Robert, I like the look of the 400 mm lens and the price is very reasonable. Keep up the good work.

Great video Robert! You definitely have some low cost options available for that camera system. Nothing said here is going to dissuade me from my Sony, I honestly was just watching to see your location and your photos... And I wasn't disappointed! I'm not sure I've ever seen that location before. Beautiful, rugged scenery... far too many people standing too close to the edge though 😂 Love the drone footage of the location and you got some great shots as well, especially of that big rock with the wide angle lens. Really liked that one! Hope you're doing well, have a great week over there mate!

Cheers Paul. I don't think you can really go wrong with any of the camera brands these days - they all seem to make great bodies and lenses. Yes, it's an awesome location but you do get a lot of climbers on days when the weather is good. I thought about removing them from the shots, but I do kind of like the sense of scale they give to the scene. Thanks for watching mate - looking forward to seeing your new one. 😊

A good selection of lenses there Robert. I'm sure if I stretch my budget to a z7 I probably won't have much left for expensive glass so this type of video is great. Nice shots too.

Cheers Andrew. They've come down quite a bit now that the Z7 II and Z8 cameras are out. Some decent used deals here and there. That's the good thing about the Nikkor Z lenses though, even the cheap ones are really good quality. Thanks for watching. 😊

Hi Robert - missed your video last week. I have been considering purchasing the 28mm/2.8 mainly for its portability. If I'm not out birding then I lug the Z8 & 24-120mm around and that can be a quite a weighty combo. I also use the Tamron Z 70-300mm (not for birding), again a highly portable lens with way better than average results. Horses for courses I guess! Keep up the excellent work.

Thanks Clive, I'm very jealous of your Z8 and 24-120 combo! I also plan to check out the Tamron 70-300 at some point. The 28mm is great as a lightweight option and you don't sacrifice much in the image quality department - definitely worth checking out. Thanks for watching. 😊

That's great, really glad to hear it. I've only ever had one brief trip to Tokyo, but would love to go back and photograph more of the country. Thanks for watching. 😊

This week I got the 180-600 f/5.6-6.3. It is not really cheap, but it is, compared to the alternatives. I am very happy with it.

I did think about including lenses such as the 24-200mm, which also isn't particularly cheap, but it's similarly great value when you compare it against all the lenses and focal lengths it can replace. In the end I decided to keep all the included lenses under £250. Would love to get my hands on a 180-600mm at some point! Thanks for watching. 😊

Hey Robert! You forgot to mention aps-c lenses for the Z-mount. I have the Laowa 9mm f2.8 and the Viltrox 13mm f1.4 and they are both stellar budget lenses. In fact, almost all the lenses these companies make are very good for a decent price. Also Sigma make the 16, 30 and 56mm f1.4 for Z and they are awesome as well! You ought to consider them if you shoot Nikon aps-c.

I really should have mentioned it, but this video was for full-frame Z lenses. I don't have an APS-C Z camera at the moment but if I get one in the future, I'll be sure to make a DX Z lens video. Thanks for the suggestions and for checking out the video. 😊

A lot of old-school Leica M users will have had the 40 mm F/2 Summicron and the 28 mm f/2.8 lenses as their first lenses. Or those of us without the cash, the Minolta 50 mm f/2 M and 28 mm f/2.8 mm. So these are both well known and well used focal length and f stop combinations.

Thanks for the video, unedited what does that mean exactly. The 50mm would be the one most interested thanks

Yeah, it's a fun lens, well worth checking out. The unedited images are just the RAW files, as they were captured by the camera, before I made any edits in post processing software. Thanks for watching. 😊
