The suv is great for the family and 2 dogs. In a 350 mile trip, I was averaging 31 mpg non stop and no traffic because I left at night. I thought the computer was lying to me until I arrived at my parents and filled up gas and it did not lie.

No dis to her, but everything mentioned is in any 3rd row suv now as standard, I do like Subaru as a car maker, however, the space in 3rd is one of the lowest in class especially when compared to now grand highlander.
I like grand Highlander it’s one of the best. I would say Ascent is more compared to regular Highlander. It’s not bad. I mean the GH is even better then Honda pilot.

If I’m understanding your question correctly, yes. There are two sets of lower latches in the second row whether it’s a bench or two captains chairs.
