- Former President Donald Trump delivers remarks from Mar-a-Lago in West Palm Beach, Florida following his Supreme Court arraignment on Tuesday in New York City.
He was indicted Thursday on charges related to a hush money payment his former lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen made to former adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election. Trump denies the claim by Daniels, whose given name is Stephanie Clifford, that she had sex with him one time in 2006. He also denies wrongdoing related to the $130,000 payment Cohen gave her to keep quiet about the alleged tryst.

I think alot of people missed the part of the speech when he was talking about the case in NY. He said that they (referring to the prosecution) “wanted to make a deal, and we said no!” Meaning the prosecution offered Trump a plea bargain, and they turned it down in favor of fighting the case.

He spoke forcefully about on what he feels to he the case. I was never a trump fan, but I do feel the indictment is political because Bragg ran on locking trump up. Several academics have cited the case as being weak, and quite frankly overreach. I will just say this, I feel like I’m hurting financially now under this regime. Under the last one, I felt the economy was thriving. My investments were up and I was able to purchase my first home. I’d never be able to afford to purchase a home under this current guy.
