The card that made me want to play magic was Teysa, Orzhov Scion with the Guild Kit art. Years later I got brought into commander and got the chance to build her. She's definitely my best and favorite deck. It's one my play group wants to play against often and it's been a blast since! Orzhov is definitely my favorite combo
Seconding Karlov. Stumbled across him when looking for cards for a friend's Trelasarra and was like "... Yeah that seems like a reasonable number of counters to get for that." Now my most notorious deck and the only one I've foiled out. My favorite quote is after I found out dealing combat damage with 3 lifelinkers is 3 separate triggers for some reason, and my friend was like "Did you build Karlov not knowing this? Because I don't like that you were unintentionally handicapping yourself and still that strong."
I can't believe Karlov wasn't in the top 5 (Esp. with Shadrix taking a spot). Yes, he's older, but he is BRUTAL. Karlov was my first commander deck, and his current iteration immediately attracts the attention of my playgroup. Orzhov is one of my favorite color combinations (Along with Golgari), and it's nice to see it highlighted on my favorite MTG channel. (And this is one of the rare times I've agreed with Veggie over MTGNerdgirl. Ratadrabik is vicious af, lol) Lurrus has no business being in the command zone unsupervised.
Just won my first cube.. 1st time I went esper said it was " jank " didn't realize what jank ACTUALLY MEANT.. started last ended 2nd.. DID MY 2ND CUBE. Instantly grabbed BLACK/WHITE. Got minthrara and learnt real fast why the others hated her so much.. came in first by a land slide and won some oil slick lands ❤️❤️❤️
@@luckystyle83 your able to make multible gideons via token doubler and teysa. so its like having a huge army of them. Btw all loyality abilities work still fine. You cant get negativ once but even if you have zero that planeswalker stays (as long its a creature in addition) There is also one gideon emblem that says you cant lose and opponents cant win as long you have a gideon. Also with luxior, giadas gift that also applies to other planeswalkers. Its a special way to make thinks to tokens that arent meant to be one.
The great thing but also problematic thing about orzhov is that almost all the commanders are workable with each other and can be put in the 99 which can make it a hard decision sometimes to choose who to cut out.. I am trying to build Kambal but now i need to decide what to cut out at the same time
I think Karlov of the Ghost Council is a good card. I have never scene it before. Eriette is good too. I'm not a fan of Shadrix, Ratadrabik, and Lurrus. Elas il-Kor is a decent Commander and only a 2 mana casting cost to start off. Teysa Karlov is just ok. Your honorable mentions are better than Commanders #3, 4, & 5. Skull Clamp is a very good card to have in any Commander deck. 30 lands is not enough. Thank you for the video Nerd Girl and Veggie Wagon.

I thought people hated the Elish Norn because she turns off your opponent's etb effects, not the doubling part.

Ratadrabik being #4 is highly underrating him. I think people just have a hard time grasping exactly what he does. Goes infinite at the drop of a hat.

I'd like to give a shout-out to Liesa, Forgotten Archangel. I think she's one of the best and most interesting Orzhov commanders ever.
Eriette is a lot of fun. Some great auras that don't see typical play become great. I really do love my deck I made with her
The best part about Ratadrabik is that it's the best Orzhov commander, and the win con is technically not written on the cards
If you pair Ratadrik with any sacrifice and graveyard recursion it works well.

I turned my Elas il-Kor deck into a Teysa Karlov deck and my playgroup still hates me for all the aristocrat effects the deck does😂

I have never once seen her by herself, so I think people really don't consider her to be an Orzhov commander. She's almost always with Thrasios.
