i dont even play Yawgmoth anymore but this Viedeos about the carzy combos the deck can do, are still so intressting to see. Awsome work with the sheets and the explaing
This video is a godsend. Thank you! I'm interested in Yawgmoth very much and play a Birthing Ritual deck but with little to no success. These loops are something I need to practice to get the much needed advantage, thank you again!
We played an event last weekend and i actually decided never to play more the 1 Endurance so that I wouldn’t have to learn those loops 😂. Thx for the video
Thanks Thiago. I played Ballista a few weeks ago in a video. I try it often, but it is frequently underwhelming. I’m open to trying new things if they’re good. Cheers my friend!
great video, thanks a lotfor vizualizing it, I learned something!! in the last bowmaster loop: Couldnt you also make a. 2 extra innkeeper loops first to produce 4 treasures b. then cast 2 bowmasters c. perform the loop you showed but with an extra chord to get 2 bowmasters for 1 extra dmg per green card? The Snakes alongside ywolfs and orcs/token should be enough to chord twice each loop as far as I can tell. [All assuming the List contains at least 2 chord & bowmasters]
One step closer to my yawgmoth PhD 😅. In one of the challenges a list with Obelisk Spider made top 8. Any thoughts on a 3 mana zenith-able blood artist?
I dont understand. You can sacrifice bowmaster and target itself? It wont be a legal target at the time you are activating the ability? Since its dead as a part of the cost of putting the ability on the stack?
@@lemonlazy6446 Yes. but then you have to draw a card. He is saying you sacrifice a creature and target the creature you sacrifice. I talking to a judge about this, and it does work. you basicly announce target of the ability at the same time that you pay for the cost. so somehow the creature you are about to sacrifice is a legal target. Then the draw effect fizzles because you have no legal target.
You always have to do the 'make damage' combo. No time for the other shenanigans. On the other hand you have to exile always 2 green cards from your hand. This could be a problem.
Am I missing something? Is there a reason you can't sac Innkeeper after evoking the two Endurance but before their triggers resolve to get +2 life? like: loop creatures (1 card left in deck) evoke evoke sac innkeeper (draw last card) shuffle chord for innkeeper endurance triggers resolve edit: I guess it depends on the order of the three cards left in your library, if you drew the 2 endurance or 1 endurance + chord.
The life isn’t super relevant…you can get one extra trigger with innkeeper if you evoke the first endurance before sacrificing the innkeeper, but then it makes memorizing the sequencing harder. Technically the right play, but when trying to streamline learning the loops, it’s not ideal adding an extra step that has nothing to do with the established pattern from other loops.
I‘m watching this Video for Hours to learn the combos, do you have also a decklist? For b&r i player ballista do you think it is worth now? And I think I Need to Check your patreon
I have a downloadable PDF on my Patreon that has all of the steps written down. You should check it out! We have an awesome community with tons of content. Every Friday I release a video on my Patreon called 'List of the Week', which is my recommended list for the week. Last week's list can be found here: moxfield.com/decks/4c-pdYeOykKt1H-wO6NPSA I typically don't play Ballista because it feels underwhelming when I play it. With that being said, I'm open minded.
Is the benefits just that you don't have to play blood artist? So you play second endurance instead? Won't it be a problem against decks like energy that can make a lot of life, amazing visualisation tho! Remember reading over this when i first started to learn yawg
Great video. There is a written guide explaining this on moxfield but its way nicer in video form. 1 suggestion tho: Why arent you filming over your shoulder so we have the POV of the yawg player instead of the POV of the opponent? Wouldve been a tad nicer but again... just a minor mistake/suggestion 😅
Hey Korbinianjohn, I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video and support the channel. I also appreciate you caring enough to provide feedback. I know you're trying to be helpful. I want to preface what I am about to say by stating this is not me attacking you but me simply being honest with you, who I value as a viewer and contributor to this channel. When I first read your comment, my initial reaction was anger. I am not angry as I write this but am coming from a place of openness and acceptance. When viewers comment on content and attempt to provide feedback, it often comes off as self-righteous and ignorant, despite having good intentions. If you'll bear with me, I'd like to take a moment to explain. This 18-minute video took me over 10 hours to create. When my Patreon proposed this as a concept, I first needed to figure out a way to learn the loops and simplify them. This alone took several hours. Next, I had to figure out how to present the content clearly in a way that was easy to understand and visually appealing. I brainstormed and thought through 4 different ways of doing this: 1. The first was to edit all of the loops in Premier Pro using images I downloaded from Scryfall. While this would have been very clear and visually appealing, it also would require ~40 hours of my time. I decided not to move forward. 2. Filming the loops as you see them in the video. This took a few hours. The downside (which I was aware of) - the cards would appear upside down. 3. I also considered vertically flipping the images from idea 2, so it would produce a perspective as you suggested. The cards would all appear as mirror images, which I found distracting, so I decided not to move forward with this idea after testing it. 4. The last option (the one you suggested) was also considered. Unfortunately, there are significant logistical obstacles associated with doing so. First, I need to set up multiple (3) tripods behind me: one for a camera, and an additional 2 for the lighting (main light and fill light). I currently use simple O-ring lights with clamp to my desk for lighting, so I would have needed to purchase new lights, or figure out how to make the lights that I already have, work. This would require time and troubleshooting. Next, my microphone would have obstructed the view from the camera, so I would have needed to set up a different, smaller mic out of the shot. I don't own one of these, so I would have needed to purchase it. Next, the camera. I own a webcam (which I used for this video) and a DSLR camera. The webcam would not have worked, so I would have needed to dust off and re-learn how to use my DSLR, which I haven't touched in years. After that, I would have to figure out how to navigate the 30-minute time limit the DSLR camera has when recording videos. Further, I don't have an auxiliary monitor to see what I'm recording in real time, which also creates obstacles. It likely would have required significantly more takes, to get the video right. Lastly, the DSLR also has fairly limited battery life, which I would have had to navigate. As you can see, there are A LOT of obstacles to creating the video as you suggested. All-in-all, had I gone with option 4, it probably would have added an extra 5-10 hours onto the project, and cost me a few hundred dollars to get the appropriate equipment to do so. With all that being said, there's no way you could've known all that! A LOT goes into making each video you see! Producing the video, as you see it, was no mistake (and never is). Each video is very carefully thought out after considering all of the available options. I want to reiterate that I'm not angry. I am grateful that you gave me an opportunity to reflect. You taught me a few things today: 1. Most people have good intentions. 2. I can learn something from everyone 3. I value myself. Number 3 brings me to my next point... I appreciate you reminding me how much I value myself, this morning. I value being in a positive headspace. I value my time. I value my autonomy. I value my creativity. Reflecting on this interaction with you has made me realize that I don't need to read or reply to UA-cam comments, nor should I. I will no longer be doing so in the future, because, well...its just not worth it to me. This is my last reply on a UA-cam video, and you're the lucky recipient 🙂 I am not being sarcastic. Genuinely, thank you for teaching me something new today. All the best, C4D.

Love the video, will add the easiest kill is to just use the mana to agathas exile a 0 walking balista and just start pinging each loop
I’m so happy you sent this, I will remember this when I finally play the deck
Happy to be of service! Definitely check out my patreon as well. There are TONS of resources on there to help!

Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!

So greatful. Thnks. Comment for algorithm! 😊

Love the content as always! Regarding the PDF you mentioned, I don't see it in the video description - did I overlook something or is a link missing?
It’s on my Patreon - I originally didn’t have plans of publishing this video on UA-cam, but figured I’d share the love.
Thank you for your content; are these processes also explained in writing in the patreon? Thanks a lot
Yes!
Nice to see you again!
Glados! Thank you! Nice to hear from you! 🙌🏼🙂
Is there on patreon a guide to beginner that want mastering Yagwmoth deck??
I’m interesting about that
One step closer to my yawgmoth PhD 😅. In one of the challenges a list with Obelisk Spider made top 8. Any thoughts on a 3 mana zenith-able blood artist?
My initial impression is that it might be better online, but probably isn't necessary in paper (bc of the loops). I haven't tested it, though.
Holy moly

You don't have to do it...Often times you can just wipe their board with Hapatra and draw a bunch of cards, and that's good enough.
Time to switch to Twin, dudes
So this only works until all green cards are in exile from evoking right? Not infinite?
Correct.
@Control4Daze thank you! Just making sure I wasn't missing something lol

endurance triggers resolve

If you can establish the loop, you can instead wipe their board, gain a ton of life, make a bajillion snakes, and kill them next turn.
And yes, the point is to be able to cut the Blood Artist 🩸
Y NO SLEEVES?>
The light reflects off of them and you can't see the cards 😝
Sleeves are lame. Raw dog that shit
Exactly!
