  • In this video, we see the Branch Line Society's 'Wirral Squirrel' Railtour at several locations across the Wirral and Cheshire.
The main appeal of this tour for me was two fold. Firstly, the two would pass through my local station of Little Sutton on the Hooton to Helsby line. Secondly, it was to be top and tailed by two Class 40 diesel locos, something I thought I would never see at my local station.
On the day unfortunately, one of the 40s, No 40145 was stuck at the East Lancs Railway, meaning that Class 47 No 47614 took its place. As a result, I did not take as many videos of the tour as originally planned as my friend Tom and myself were only interest in seeing the other 40 No 40013 (D213) 'Andania' under power.
Locations of the shots in order are Little Sutton, Bebington, Neston and Runcorn East.
