Twin Forties (plus 3802)

This video shows the two mainline certified BR Class 40s, No. D213 (40013) and D345 (40145) working together during the last week of October 2021.
First we see the two at Chester on the 27th on a test run from Crewe and return. D345 is seen running round D213 before departing back to Crewe.
Then we see the two early morning on the 30th at Acton Bridge, hauling 'The Devonian Double' all the way to Plymouth.
Finally as a bonus, we see GWR 2884 class '3802' on the back of a Reeds Low Loader, on the A55 passing Chester on its way back to Llangollen, after having its tyres turned at Carnforth. Tom Peacock and Myself spotted it on the way back from Acton Bridge and could not resist getting a shot of it passing by.

excellent video Joey .I was lucky enough to be on that trip down to Plymouth..14 hours travel of double headed class 40. 1st class inter city seats..booze and food.sheer bliss
