Hello, i am just about to embark on a similar project. I have yet to lay out concrete, is there a reason why the 4x4 post was not put into the wet concrete? I am a novice at construction type projects. I just dont have the tools to drill into masonary and am hiring help to lay out concrete, while i plan to do the fence on my own.

Hi, it was probably not clear in the video but I put the brackets into the wet concrete. So no drilling was required. I think the posts will last longer this way, compared to be embedded in concrete. Also it will be easyer to change the posts if they wera out.

Hi Magnus, good job.
Can I ask if the concrete shoes, [holding the posts] were placed in the concrete while it was setting or did you drill holes in the concrete and fix them afterwards ? I'm assuming you placed them into the wet concrete with braces but perhaps you could advise ? Thanks

Yes, I placed the braces in the wet concrete. I also made the concrete thicker at these places.
