Would love lecture previews over Genitourinary & Otorhinolaryngologic surgery as well, if possible! 😀 These videos are so helpful to my classmates and I. Thank you.

I normally don't scrub Eye cases & just reviewed an Eye segment in a study book for the CST exam after watching this video and did really well! Your videos are helping a ton in me prepping for my exam tomorrow. Thank you so much for being a great teacher and making these videos. I'll be sure to use your videos as a reference for surgical tech new hires and students!

Update: I passed my CST exam! Thanks so much to your videos! It really helped during the times I couldn't bury my face in my study book and my kids kept me occupied!

good anatomy & pathologies of eye , intraocular & extraocular # injuries particularly head & eye injuries cause sudden hemorrhage, bleeding , in vitreous chamber which cause increased pressure in that chamber which cause detachment of the part of retina from Choroid # in such ER cases Manintol , diuretic , should be given immeduately to decrease intra ocular pressure & i would give also Carbonic anhydrase inhibitor to further decrease the intra ocular pressure to prevent retinal damage # 👍🇵🇰

    Thanx, sir
This is a very good video
I wish it was longer, involve more techniques, and more photos to clear the view of ophthalmic procedures.
I'll share it for all my friends.💖

    PLEASE HELP ANYONE WHO KNOWS:
Question kind of off topic kind of not lol but... a little bit about me. I'm in process of enrolling in CST program beginning in yr 2023 (California). Its a 12 or 15 month (AA degree-cst) program. I know it's A LOT 2 learn in a short time period. Luckily for me I've completed my general ed already but a little nervous about learning and grasping Anatomy/Physiology, instruments, biology etc.
Question 1) How can I try to get ahead and what exactly should I study?
Question 2) What instruments should I try and get familiar with?? I'm a little confused because I see SO MANY different types. Don't know exactly where to start.
Question 3) Any tips 4 Anatomy and/or Physiology?? Dont even know where to start.
Question 4) ANY suggestions in general that you think would be good for me to begin studying and if so, any specific reading materials and/or UA-cam videos??
I hope this makes sense lol 🤣🙏🏾🤦🏾‍♀️ but just so nervous about everything and I know ITS NOT A GAME. Anyways, my apologies for the long comment but GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
    -Future CST 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤🙏🏾

Hi Ada. There’s a lot in your question. I’m working on a video series for people like you thinking about starting school and a career in Surgical Technology. It will probably drop sometime early next year.
In the meantime, here’s a few brief answers: The best way to get ahead is to take your A&P and Medical Terminology classes ahead of time. Most colleges will let you start on them now, while you wait to start the ST program itself. If your program doesn’t require Med. Term., TAKE IT ANYWAY!!! Spend this time focusing on A&P and Med Term. Don’t worry about the actual Surg Tech stuff yet because every teacher does things a little differently. And (ironic that I’m saying this) don’t watch any skills videos, such as flipping gloves, draping a mayo stand, etc. I’ve seen students struggle because they learned it one way from a random video, but their teacher wants them to do it another way. But if you’re dying to learn something ST, start learning your ‘basic’ instruments. Don’t worry about any specialty instruments at this point.
