This internet is perfect for everything else besides online gaming. It has fast download speeds so if you stream shows, movies and download games where you're not planning on playing online then you'll be happy. The main issue is with T-Mobile 5G home internet is it doesn't support UPnP and usually has a NAT type of moderate to strict. What that means is you wont be able to connect to party chats or you'll have constant lag in games and be disconnected at some point. Don't get this internet for online gaming.

I known people that game on this internet and they have no issues, but they use their own router. Putting their T-Mobile device on bridge mode and using your own router will improve the speed and nat type can be opened.

I use this Internet. I can stream phone and play online perfectly fine with no issues. Sometimes my packet loss will be 0%. Sometimes it will be 1%. That usually depends on my consoles temperature. My latency on my console goes anywhere from 35 to 90. I also have the ethernet cord plugged up to my console and I paid for their highest home Wi-Fi instead of the business plan which would be faster. I also average according to my Xbox for download speeds anywhere from 190 Mbps to 874.74 Mbps. My upload speed goes from 15 Mbps to 50 Mbps.

@@mrcontroversy222 It should be good. I do recommend you get your own router that would work with sim cards.

Tried this. Rocket league and R6 Seige are two games I play a lot, and it would work great for a match or two and then out of no where the ping and latency would spike and I would get kicked from matches. I’m in a rural area and there’s not many options out here.

You're supposed to put it in bridge mode and use your own router. That should allow you to port forward

    • @lux_satani

@hutch2811 you can use their device as a modem and use your own router. That should allow you to port forward and turn on some other things to open your nat and improve your latency

I am not sure if you're just using their Device, but if you are, i recommend you get a router thats fast and compatible with their network. That would reduce the latency and improve your speeds.

Uploads are much faster than my old DSL internet. Streaming games is hit or miss. Sometimes it works but a lot of the time it doesn't. Even when it does it usually does have some hitches and hang ups. Usually not enough to ruin the game but not as good as a cable or fiber internet connection provides.
