Jacky Stewart said Hamilton isn't the best F1 driver ever to have lived. He's given many reasons for saying it as well. Lewis himself also said its impossible to compare the greats of Formula one with modern day F1 drivers. So much has changed, including the dangers. And drivers today are intensely trained and focused on the job and nothing outside of that. It didn't used to be that way.
I think so. just my opinion. It involves a lot more sliding than most other forms of racing, it has longer/more unpredictable courses (you do have a navigator, but that's no substitute for knowing every inch of a track like in F1) and the penalty for mistakes with rally is much more severe (look how close the trees are). But in F1 the speeds are higher, plus you race in a pack which is a totally different challenge.
Rally is technically superior with a higher risk factor. Formula 1 is a set track, rally is is a one way road with notes and a 2 man job. You only get one look at each blind corner and a moment to react, it is indeed at the top end of risk. Variables are everywhere. F1 is by far faster with higher g forces and you have other racers to contend with at higher speeds, so the dynamic between the 2 sports is wide. To me F1 is 2 dimensional. Rally on the other hand is 3 dimensional has ups and downs while 1/2 the time or more you are drifting, surface change, wind, jumps, water rocks etc... Only the truly gifted few have the superior hand to eye coordination, dexterity and plums to be dominant in this sport. Best of the best right here. Thank you for sharing 🏅
@@jasonhalljaxyt Very well put my man. Personally, since I go on the race track a lot, and we sometimes get close on the straits, even in a cheap brz i feel fairly safe if we hit each other, yeah it can get bad, of course... But, I did rally only once in my life. And I should not be allowed in there, ever. The moment, one of your wheels stays outside the gravel you can die. I got very close many times because i miscalculated the fact that although my line is good, i forgot the front only reacts while you are on the ground. And its not like i didn't plan where to land ahead, i know what your thinking, it was still not the same as drifting on the track.. On the race track, everything is dependable except maybe when it rains. And even then, good tires can solve most of that. So i give risk to rally, Skill wise, i have no way to judge that, the fastest on track i tried was my brz (not stock) and a very upgraded and extended kart (600cc 4 cyl). F1 one is way more different from some kart than a wrc from modded sti. so I have no reference. But if you think the kart was slow... you could spin wheels at 160 if you are not accurate enough on the pedal. like basically you are catching your tail for the 1-4 gears on every strait. So the grasp of f1 is beyond me... (and with all that downforce...)

Epic sound!!!!!!
The sound is so clean and crisp . Very nice. What mic’s are you using ?
Just internal camera mic :)
If you look closely at the exhaust between 00:32 and 00:38, you can see it turning red hot inside (I assume it's the turbo).
It's the exhaust gas; racing cars exhausts can easily reach 800°C and even more
Its the catalyc converter, who starts glowing cause of the anti lag and launch control
Amazing video, thank you :) !

Wow!!!!!!! Ford fiesta airways.
can someone tell me if this is, by technical definition, more difficult than any other type of racing (f1 for example)? It sure looks like it.
