There is no other anime as epic as Mirai Nikki. It's hard to find a character as twisted, unpredictable and epic as Yuno. She is a professional and her actions are so badass you will just fall in love with her from the very beginning.

An iconic opening, one of the most iconic of all time I would say. Noone can forget this series or Yuno. Well done!
I just realised that Yuno and Yukiteru might be named after the Roman gods: Juno and Jupiter. I say this not only because of the names sounding similar but because the personalities of those two and the two roman gods also somewhat match. Yuno being a yandere eliminates people when she thinks that that person might be an obstacle in Yuno and Yukiteru's love life. Juno (Jupiter's wife) is the goddess of marriage and is known for cursing or killing women that have had affairs with Jupiter because of her jealousy and rage (sounds a lot like Yuno).
But thats just a theory...

I love how the music video pretty much makes a reference to nearly all of the diary owners.
First: Quite self-explanatory, shows up once.
Second: Is pretty much everywhere in this opening.
Third: The knife in the beginning.
Fourth: The gun.
Fifth: The two hand puppets.
Sixth: The ball that turns into blood.
Seventh: The comb and the blade.
Eight: The big skull.
Ninth: Literally shows up...
Tenth: The skeleton of the dog.
Eleventh: The glasses.
Twelfth: The reflection of the glasses.
I didn't notice most of those O.O good eye.

Geometry Dash Jake Yeah, those sneaky guys. They showed the plotwist of the series at the very start. And it's even chronologicly correct if you think about it.
I loved this anime. Most people dont like it because of yuno being a psychopath or yuki being an idiot. But that is what i love most is Yuno. She is demented, she is cute, she is scared, she is happy, she is bag of thing and plays the part very well.
Yeeah, I feel the same way. It's what makes her a babe.
Yuno is my favourite character. You don't know that much about her until the last episode, and when it's revealed, it's not disappointing.

I thought Yukki was smart. He used her to his advantage and then fell in love with her over time. Who wouldn't Yuno was epic.
It's so weird that in the first part it's Aru Akise's eye that's opening and closing. He was truly a beautiful artificial existence. His death nearly killed us all.

Yea this op is amazing, unfortunately I don't like the second one nearly as much.
Ths was the first anime I ever watched and looking back it wasnt great, but this is still my favorite anime opening.
For me it was my friend who recommeded me this anime and this is the first anime of a long list,
so yeah if you look carrefully, it wasn't great as you say but when i watch it i was 11-12 years old it was fire for me,
it will still have a special place in my heart.
It was one of my first animes. I dont remember a thing but i will watch again as soon as possible again.

Years have passed and I still can't forget these tunes!! They are truly magical.
I really love the last part of this. It conveys how Yuno fights an inner battle and gradually descends further into psychopathy and delusion, and the balance that Yuki brings to her life (well, maybe not balance, but at least some form of mental stability).

I'm rewatching this anime, and after episode 15 I skip the opening, pause, come here to watch this one, then resume the episode. The second opening is a perfect example of competent yet pedestrian. This one... this is a mesmerizing masterpiece that sets a whole different tone.
BloodTeller was a great ED piece to go with this, too.

Just finished this show it's amazing for anyone pondering on wether or not to watch this dont let the gore put you off when you look past it you'll find an amazing anime with pretty good animation and a gripping story that gets you to genuinely care for its characters
