YES please continue production of the Airbus A380, I don’t know what else to say, that meaning the A380 is the most incredible aircraft I’ve ever been inside of. I have been very fortunate to have traveled around the world in the A380-800. This probably because of its sheer size is by far the smoothest and most quiet aircraft I’ve ever flown in. A very kind Thank You to Emirates Airlines for staying strong.

Airbus A380 production cannot be ‘continued’ as production definitively ceased in March 2021. The A380 production process and manufacturing line cannot be promptly, easily nor economically restated. It just cannot. It is just like when Volkswagen eventually stopped production of the New Beetle in 2011, 14 years after its introduction in 1997. When production ceases, this is the end of the program. 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🇪🇺

I have just returned from Sri Lanka on a Boeing 777 er and found the flight to Dubai ok but still quite noisey. From Dubai to Gatwick it was an Emirates A380 and what a difference. So much more space, more comfortable and so quiet. It really is a world class aircraft, I love visitng the lounge at the back to socialise with other passengers - they all agreed it is a wanderful aircraft. I think it will be a sad day when it's the end of the A380, like the 747.
When a heavy aircraft like the 😂 and the 747 hits heavy turbulence, the chances are people won't be injured.
You fly through air turbulence in a light aircraft like the A350 you will be injured sure 100 percent.

there is no replacement aircraft for the A380. The 777x is the closest and misses by over 100 pax in a density similar to what we "enjoy" today. So if as an airline you need the capacity as you are flying to destinations that are slot constrained or slot expensive or you just have high numbers of pax then the aircraft pays for its way very well. Emirates fits all of these requirements. I can see a lot of airlines that have ditched their A380s wishing they didn't in 10 years time if traffic grows at the expected rate.

Airbus (With full funding from the UAE/Emirates) could build an Airbus plant in Dubai and restart A380 production. It is entirely possible, just takes money and the UAE gets a new industry and Emirates' new A380. Improved A380 could also be sold to other carriers. Airbus gets a new plant and won't have to look for room in its Toulouse plant.

Last year I had the longest flight I've ever had, a 6 hour flight. I hated every minute of it. It was so cramped and crowded. I will never do it again. Before this I broke up the trip with a layover for a couple of days in Melbourne at the halfway point. Going to New Zealand. So I would love a plane like the A380. I know an A380 would not be profitable for such a short flight. But my experience has scared me off long flights. If I could guarantee flying a A380 I would seriously think of flying a 24 hour direct flight to London. Which I think Quantas provides now from Perth, but don't quote me on that.

Many airlines are short sighted the industry is going to need a future super jumbo, as air traffic grows but also the same time many major airports will have further slot constraints, so on these major routes you cannot move the volumes of people unless you have dam big planes, the 777x or A350 -1000 are good planes but simply not big enough, what is required is an A380 or A390 NEO or 747 800-900 NEO
I think it was a fundamental mistake by both Airbus and Boeing, to completely stop there programs of the A380 or 747 series because the industry will once again require super jumbos

Put aside the word "A380" just for a moment or even the 747. The fact of the matter is a company like Emirates need a large jumbo size jet aircraft well into the future. The new 777X or the A350 1000 are not really big enough for what Emirates needs to their large long haul operation. If a new generation true jumbo jet is ever produced again, there are a few carriers aside from Emirates that would be interested. Of course, Emirates would be the largest operator by far. Don't forget too, freight carriers also prefer large jumbo jets as well. It will be interesting to see if Airbus or Boeing come up with something in the next 10 years. Never say never.

Hi, Well I'm not surprised that Emirates made that decision, the A380 is a great aircraft, I've had the pleasure to fly it several times and I ❤ all those times and all three times were with yours truly Emirates, it is a marvel of engineering. I think Airbus acted too hastily when deciding to Axe the A380, in my opinion after the very last order, they should have temporarily suspend building the type, when their A380plus failed and backfired on them. Go back to the drawing board discuss with engineers, designers, engine manufacturers and the airlines themselves especially Emirates and come up with a suitable ideas for an upgraded A380. In the meantime their A380 plants could have been retasked with building other Airbus Aircraft types until the perfect time to reintroduce the "New A380", If Airbus did not want to lose its title of building the largest commercial plane to Boeing, they should have suspended the type. I know people said "Quad jets are not efficient, however I think with engineering and clever thinking the engine
manufacturers could have designed and built a quad jet engine plane that is equivalent in efficiency to B777X engine at least.

Ahh so much more to this story than was reported in this video. The reason for the £2B investment and efficiency program??? Unfortunately that would be due to the fact that the A380 has the worst despatch reliability record in the aviation industry today and Emirates can not hand back their a/c as the Leasing companies don’t want them back and have a v large penalty in place to be paid if they do. Which means… they’re stuck with them whether they like it or not. So better make sure they do what the were suppose to do for as long as they can to try and recoup their money…. All while sprouting rubbish like: We love this a/c… it’s wonderful.

There’s a problem with your argument. Emirates A380 don’t use RR engines so your inclusion of them within saying it’s part of an A380 upgrade is wrong. What the A380 needs is new engines and winglets rather than the present end of wing fences. But that’s highly unlikely to happen as Airbus does not seem interested in any mods to the A380.
The present senior management at RR are as useful as a car without a litter. Yes they laid off staff, the hard working and knowledgeable engineering staff, but not the highly paid and useless board members and senior cartel.
Never give much credence to what Chief execs of airlines say, it’s usually a little sparring argument to get a better deal or earlier deliveries
