Josh I live in Austin. You gotta watch out for the idiots. Good idea going through there at night most of them are asleep one would hope. Used to be a cool place but now it’s so overpopulated with people from elsewhere that it’s just a big cluster. Be safe out there brother.👍👍👍

In Europe: you have to pay to park, unless you have dinner or a "triple S". Than they reimburse you your parking ticket. We also have gated security parking. For if you haul high value goods, or you have an expensive show truck.
We travel a lot in the US and find it just as secure as anywhere in Canada. Visited friends that spent their winters in Edinburg right on the Mexican border in Texas. Felt just as safe there as anywhere. Sure there are areas that you don’t want to venture into but we have them in Canada. Driving to Florida next week and Arizona in February . I recognize most of your landmarks. I find it funny that you won’t pay $8. to a business but will drive a W 900 that gives about the worst fuel economy out there.😊

That road ranger is one my favorite truck stops in Laredo area. I'm from East Texas.

Austin is the capital of Texas. In fact, at about 25:45 of this vlog, the capital building was about 4 blocks to your right. Austin is a good size city, but it is comparatively small. Greater Austin has 2.28 million people, but that is small when you compare it to the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex with 6.39 million or greater Houston with 7.12 million.
You do not want to see Austin in the daylight. I-35 is a parking lot from one end to the other. When you think of Texas, think warm Alberta. Texas makes their money from oil and cattle. Texas is comparable in size as each of the prairie provinces.
I always park overnight, engine out... my struggle is to find a parking spot avoiding to be disturbed by noisy rattling engines, reefers, air dryers, noisy fans, etc
You are going thru there at the best time. During the day sucks. That’s a good place to stop, you are still before the check point.

Yes it's Edmond Oklahoma. I used to live 15 miles east from that truck stop in Luther Oklahoma but now I live in Washington state

Diesel is K29.96 ( ~ CAD1.54 ) per litre here in Livingstone / Zambia.

At the very end, when you said you had to move forward....THANK YOU. Way too many drivers nowadays will let their asses hang over the back line at truck stops. That used to infuriate me to no end.

Texas from Tejas the spanish pronunciation of the local indian tribe's word teyshas or thecas meaning friendship or allies !!!!! . a lot of welcome to Texas signs also have don't mess with Texas ( which they meant don't litter ) but was given a diff meaning .PS: you gonna really love traffic during the day !!!
Hi Josh, here in São Paulo Brazil the Diesel is 5,99 per liter! Is very expensive.

Hello Josh. In Spain at a cheap company's gas station, a liter of diesel costs 1.33 Euros. At Repsol or Campsa gas stations (the most common companies) the price per liter of diesel is approximately 1.55 euros.

I commented earlier. I do 35w every day. Youre driving my route. I go to san antonio regularly. I hate the traffic, i try to arrive by 6am and avoid all the knuckleheads.
Diesel in West Aust is currently $1.99 a litre on conversion 1.78 Canadian a litre
Diesel at Flying J in Sherwood Park Alberta is $1.549/ liter

Josh yes we have "crazy driver's" in Texas too. Some drivers around Texas NEVER use their "signal lights" & they do hog the LEFT LANE. "Clueless dumb" drivers. Good luck.
Josh, your night mode on that GoPro is actually really solid. I personally have Zero complaints. And next time you come down go through Dallas on 35 E and through Austin at the North or Sputh end stay Right. That will take you up on the upper ramps. When I hit Austin Inise the upper ramps. Prettier views and fewer exists to deal with merging traffic. Also the “Express Lanes” or “Toll Road” in Dalls and all of TX is called T Tag, TX Tag and also verify with your company but I believe the order blue EZ Pass are comparable with TTag and KPass (KY). I know that the Long Whote “Elite” bar is comparable with all the states now. Even SC, NC, GA and FL as well as NY and the Burrows.
Austin itself is home to almost a million people. They do things larger in Texas.
Just a note: the word “Texas” is actually “tejas,”. Means “friend.”

Last gas price for regular gas here is .99/l here in Winnipeg. LOoks like diesel here is 141.9/L CDN

Yes you were on 35w through Fort Worth, 35 E goes through Dallas and each is close to 100 miles long. Tex express lanes are quite costly

Diesel prices in the UK have dropped recently, still expensive though. I paid £1.45 per litre yesterday which equates to 2.46 Canadian dollar per litre
In Germany Diesel is 1,70 € per liter - its 2,47 CAD

Here’s a tip for when driving through DFW, the express lanes you were talking about do not charge vehicles with out of state license plates. I drive on them all the time with my Saskatchewan plates and have never paid a cent.

Josh, you are correct that the Edmond, OK Flying J gets to be a S*it Show when it gets dark. For future reference, you leave the fuel pumps straight and to the left there is an exit only driveway back out to the street. then left on the street and it will take you back to the traffic light at the entrance.
