The Lake District is one of those locations you must visit is photography is your passion, just stunning. Tip no 2 for me is one of those that is always not followed, great tip and video mate.
great video and really useful tips, my only concern is that you're using a camera which is much more expensive than mine. will i still be able to take photos similar to yours in this video?
@@MikeChudley Best compliment ever! It's gotten to the point where when I'm out with friends they'll look through random holes in things and say "can you see anything cool through here for your video?" 😅
Great tips to remember! Thanks for these. At 1:40, you show your grid. How did you get that grid for the R6? I don't seem to have that particular grid. The only ones I'm able to see are the thirds and diagonals. Thanks.
@@MikeChudley I do the same, the past couple of weeks I’ve barely shot any Street, Manchester Pride besides, it just gives you time to chill, compose yourself even. I must say I’m sick of telling people about keeping photos straight, yes they may be street shots but when there’s a clear horizon then it needs to be level.

Great to see you in the Lakes. I’m from Essex but spent many a happy summer in the 80’s and 90’s walking the fells.

Exposing for highlights is probably the best thing I’ve learnt. I don’t care about the light meter anymore haha 😂
