You prolly dont care but does any of you know a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the account password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Hugo Jayden i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I grew up outside of Portland and I’m glad you started with pips. Other places like voodoo makes fancy looking donuts but pips donuts are hands down my fav donut in the world. So fresh and simple and good. Best tasting donut I’ve ever had. Theirs chais are amazing. I try to make sure I go there whenever I go back home for a visit. The Portland/Vancouver scene is pretty fun. Lots of beautiful nature ( more waterfalls than you can shake a stick at)and great food scene. And lots of quirk. Blue star is excellent too. Cant go wrong with a French donut base. Very unique. Honestly voodoo is not my jam.
You're not supposed to squeeze the liquor into the creme brulee donut. You're supposed to pull the tube out of the donut, and as you do that, the liquor goes in. Newbs lol
Voodoo is a tourist trap. Donuts are spongy and cold and taste like wonderbread covered in various novelty toppings. I would suggest just buying 2 lbs of reeses or marshmallows or whatever and microwaving it over a piece of white bread if you're into that flavor. Pips is easily the best one, made to order and the donut shines over the toppings. Bluestar is pretty good as well.
Doughnuts, Kolaches, and sausage rolls are the staple of life West of Fort Worth, Texas. We've got over a dozen shops in our town of Weatherford open from about 5am till noon. We don't sleep half the day away.
@calichef1962 yes, normally donuts with a yeast dough are shaped and fried. Some other donuts, I think these are cake donuts, are the ones that have a liquid batter and are put into molds and baked. 🍩
My grandson, aged 4, solemnly informed me the other day that for his lunch pudding (sweet course), he had had "jam in a bun". One assumes he meant a jam doughnut - and very nice, too!
I have to say that this is one of your most enjoyable food review vlogs :) Really enjoyed. We will definitely partake of those little beauties when we are up there. You guys look like your having as much fun in the states as you have had anywhere in the world. We are Kim and James (Treasure Hunt Travelers)
There's a chain of donut shops called Peace, Love, and Little Donuts that we are lucky to have in the city next to where I live in Michigan. There are about 30 shops, mostly in Ohio and Pennsylvania, but spread out to Texas, Florida, and even one in Rogue Valley, Oregon. They are pricey as heck (more than a buck a piece and they are the small size like Pips had) but I don't mind the splurge now and again. Some of the flavors that are my favorite include: maple bacon, samoa, the Elvis (banana, peanut butter and bacon), French toast, raspberry cheesecake, and apple pie. It really is difficult to choose! A bit further from home is Cops & Doughnuts which has been branching out over the past several years opening what they call precincts. They play heavily on the cops theme as that's who owns the shops. It began when a very small town bakery was closing due to retirement and several local officers decided to pool their resources and buy it. Their original shop is in Clare, Michigan which is too far for me to get to but I did have one occasion to visit them. By far, my favorite is the Squealer, which is a long john with maple frosting and two thick slices of deliciously sweet bacon. Both these places have a web presence and Cops even ships!
The doughnuts certainly look more appetising than the grasshopper sushi Eric and Allison were eating in the last video. I'm a plain doughnut kind of guy, and the smaller ones looked like something I could handle. I'm 53, and if I don't know what to do with a condom by now there's no hope for me (filling one with water and throwing it at a friend sounds about right) :-)
Have you ever heard of the WAVES OF GRAIN BAKERY, in Portland run by the Fargos? Any idea about what happened to them? They used to run a great bakery in Florida and then one on Cannon Beach, OR. They were a nice couple and ran a great bakery and then "disappeared"?
Now you need to go try some of the local chocolate shops and of course the brewpubs. There is about ten of them in walking distance from where you are staying.
The first two places looked amaaaaazing!!! The donuts at Voodoo aren’t my style, but I love a good cider mill style donut and brioche dough is always fantastic.
Can't believe I managed to live a whole year in Oregon - visiting Portland several times, and I never ate a single donut. I "donut" know what went wrong :P
The doughnuts you had in the 1st shop are the same as the doughnuts you get on every sea front in Britain, all freshly cooked in the same way but they're only sugared unfortunately
Kudos to you both, I love donuts (especially fresh from the Promenade in Bridlington, Yorkshire) but I couldn't eat that many in a day I'd be stodged after just a couple.
All the doughnuts look delicious! If you're ever in Calgary you need to try Jelly Modern Doughnuts. They even have doughnut trucks! 😀 S'mores, maple bacon & more!
Little baby doughnuts, Brilliant! Doughnut with a shot, yes please, Voodoo doughnuts dang, sugar bomb. I say the baby doughnuts look the best. Thanks guys great video 🍩😎
I'm not so keen on all the sugary stuff, too much makes me sick. Still, its a big improvement over those dodgy grasshopper sushi things you ate the other day...

Pimping condoms and sending over to "other channels" to see how to use them. Great!

I ate 7 Blue Star donuts over my 2 1/2 day Portland visit. No regrets.

Voodoo is for Tourists Pips is for locals

Great to see Matt again

Great video . So glad you got to go to Blue Star Donuts. I think they are the best donuts on earth.
The bacon goo donut we threw away. The rest of them were PHENOMENAL.
I stayed there last year and loved it and Portland. Real change from the UK
Mmmmm doughnuts! Woohoo Matt great to see him again
Great to see Matt again! Looks cold tho, it's snowing in England-very pretty from my 5h floor flat window!
"Condoms and Doughnuts and Pot, oh MY"! Brendan UK
Anything with lemon is great.
Linda Selvia ok best comment
Ummm... donuts are NOT baked, they are fried. You even saw them being fried at the first donut place with the little cake donut machine.
@calichef1962 yes, normally donuts with a yeast dough are shaped and fried. Some other donuts, I think these are cake donuts, are the ones that have a liquid batter and are put into molds and baked. 🍩
When I saw the thumbnail I was like “OMG PIPS”
In the next episode of the EA. To the dentist! 😆Srsly though.. I'm getting a donut tomorrow. - Trevor
America has such great food. Doughnuts, burgers.

I have been to that VooDoo when the queue was filled up! So we went to the downtown one and got right in! Hope you are enjoying the PNW!!
Loving it!
Yum. I really want to try that Blue Star lemon and lime doughnut.
My grandson, aged 4, solemnly informed me the other day that for his lunch pudding (sweet course), he had had "jam in a bun". One assumes he meant a jam doughnut - and very nice, too!

I really liked the room yall stayed in, mostly the quirky art on the wall!! And those donuts omg, delicious!!
Yeah it was a fun place!
Only tourists go to Voodoo. Blue Star and Pip are great. You left out the best place Doe Doughnuts.
The doughnuts certainly look more appetising than the grasshopper sushi Eric and Allison were eating in the last video. All those doughnuts, crazy. Love the hotel room!

When you come to Australia, you will have to try the pineapple doughnut. It's the best out there. Loving the food vlogs.
Nice, would be nice to see which way they are made, yeast or batter way too sugary for me, I here there are savoury ones over there
Thanks for taking me there via vlog
I’ve been to voodoo
Different location though
The line is crazy 😝
Wow, we never knew that something like this even exists.. the doughnuts look incredibly delicious! Now we want to do the tour as well :D
Do it!
You guys need to try the passionfruit donut at BlueStar next time!! Probably as mind-blowing as the key lime one! 😍
Now you need to go try some of the local chocolate shops and of course the brewpubs. There is about ten of them in walking distance from where you are staying.
Is there a link to your Other channel? Love your videos thank you for posting them.
The first two places looked amaaaaazing!!! The donuts at Voodoo aren’t my style, but I love a good cider mill style donut and brioche dough is always fantastic.

Donut Queen blows all these places out of the water
Drove up to Oregon based on this video… you’ll earn a subscriber if this place (Pips) is as good as you claim 😅!
Naughty and fun ! 😎
bitterness is quite European - given our passion for marmalade - so, I'm guessing that's the origin of the crème brule doughnut
You were in my neighborhood!! Sesame donuts is THE BEST!!
Thanks for the recommendation!
Yummy donuts your making me hungry love from oisins mummy.
Hot Krispy Kreme in the South! Can’t be beat!
We have Krispy Kreme in Portland as well - I do like Krispy Kreme better than Voodoo. But Pips and Blue Star are better
I love pips!
No city does doughnuts like Portland does doughnuts! haven't tried Pips though.
Definitely give it a try, so delicious!
Kudos to you both, I love donuts (especially fresh from the Promenade in Bridlington, Yorkshire) but I couldn't eat that many in a day I'd be stodged after just a couple.
Luckily Voodoo was closed to we got to span this over a couple days 😂
That would be super awesome if your videos have English subtitle. I couldn't catch every single word.
Look so good, mmmmmm can't talk eating doughnuts in Portland, so true love the little ones but just can't eat just one or two
Hi from Germany! 🤗
Super love donuts!!!! Looks freakin' yummy and now I'm craving for that 🍩🍩🍩
WELL it just go s to show you can not judge a donut by its cover lol lol
All the doughnuts look delicious! If you're ever in Calgary you need to try Jelly Modern Doughnuts. They even have doughnut trucks! 😀 S'mores, maple bacon & more!
We'll have to give that a try some day!
Wow!!! All looks delicious. Eric seems to have a love-hate relationship with sugar.
Could have said it better 😄- Eric
I had the Captain Crunch doughnut at VooDoo, and it took me two days to eat it (no joke).
We had to stay away from that one, we figured our mouths would be in severe pain after that 😂
got a tummy ache from watching....but sure looked good! Hi Matt! I better go have a nap, sleep off my visual sugar high!
Sorry about that!
Oh my! Donuts! If I ever get to Portland, I will probably gain 35 pounds just from donuts. I will have to check Blue Star for sure. Thanks guys!
Definitely do, those doughnuts were amazing!
