Spoilers for Aquaman ahead! After a rocky first go in 2017’s Justice League, Jason Momoa is getting a shot at his own solo Aquaman movie, expanding the DC Universe some more. Arthur Curry kicks a lot of butt in the new movie and James Wan provides viewer with a pretty crazy visual ride. The superhero movie definitely raises some questions though. Like what’s up with the heavy metal guitar riffs when Aquaman shows up? Why didn’t Orm get rid of all the trash in the first place? Why did they train an octopus to play the drums? I feel like no matter what Ryan does in the future, he is always going to be remembered for these pitch meetings. I bet he could win a Nobel Prize one day, and an interview would go like this:

As someone with 2 music degrees I felt that.

Writer: "Oh really, what is it?"
Producer: "Africa"
Writer: "By Toto?"
Producer: "Yes but a remix of it by Pitbull."
Writer: "So you want Pitbull, a rapper named after a land creature, to remix a song about Africa, a very dry place, for a movie about a superhero who lives in the ocean and controls sea life?"
Producer: "Yea, sounds great, right?"
Writer: "Sounds like the literal opposite of this movie."
Producer: "Ohhh opposites are tight."

I LOOVE how the costumes in the comics were ripped straight from the pages!! A lot of other adaptations of comic heroes has villains and heroes attire changed but this movie was spot on with ALL suits: Aqua Man, Black Manta, Ocean Master, Mira and just the Underwater world had me in Awe.
Snoi Med Aquaman costume was perfect and it’s not orange it’s gold.
