These lyric videos are hilarious. From ridiculous interpretations of easy to find lyrics, to using every font created since 1995 within the span of a 4 minute video. This band was a huge part of my youth!
Seriously man i cant even count how many times ive gotten triggered by the lyric videos. They've been comically wrong so often it's not even funny. Many times the lyrics these people put in don't even make sense either.
Anyways ill stop ranting, this is just yet another example of why i can't stand lyric videos. But, i do get why as a reaction channel it makes things a lot easier for Brad and Lex with not dealing with demonization and strikes and such.
I always thought it said "I got my ass wiped...You got your big chief...I got my hash pipe."
I'm sure using lyric videos is easier for copyright purposes and obviously for understanding the lyrics (the issues you mentioned notwithstanding), but Weezer has some great videos and this one would have been fun to see Brad and Lex react to. And of course they could look up the lyrics after their first listen.

By far the worst is when it’s a lyric video to a song where the band printed the actual lyrics in the album’s liner notes, and yet the video creator never bothered to look at them 🤦♂️

Those are the actual lyrics. The song according to Rivers is about a homosexual transvestite prostitute. Now if you plug in ass wide, and big cheese the song makes more sense.

If B&L see this, "Pork and Beans" is incomplete without the official video. Whatever has to be done to avoid the reaction being blocked (text over the video, flip the screen, transparency, etc.) is worth it.
Rick Ocasek from the Cars produced this song. And back in my band days, we played this song in the bar's. I really liked playing it, and it always got a good response. 😎☮️
"You have your Big Gs" most likely is referring to one thousand dollars+, aka slang for money.

These are some good Weezer songs
This is a great little rock and roll song, what good 4 chord rock should be and is all about. And all the party people love it because they think it's about partying and smokin hash because most people don't bother with the lyrics. Oh and to end the confusion here in the comments it is about male prostitution. Especially how the guy deals with his life after his John's are done with him. Both his ass wipe and hash pipe...."These players come to get me cause the like my behind". Come on and "kick" means something else entirely, another 4 letter word that ends in "ck", I'm sure you can figure it out. G's means money. Boogies are the sores the meth heads get and Santa Monica Blvd is famous for young guys turning tricks. "Men who don't' bother with the taste of the teat" means guys who don't like boobs, really people, do songs have to be literal to be understood? Half the fun of a good rock song is trying to figure out what the lyrics mean...Rant complete.

Memories is a really underrated song from them with a cool video and Keep Fishin has a superb video too, I like those 2 songs a lot. Great band
What's funny is Weezer is not at all a metal band...barely a rock band but this song (when it first came out many many years ago) was the song that flipped the metal loving switch in my head. For as simple as it is, that riff is hard af! Everything I hear it, I head bang until concussion and start a mosh pit in my living room with my pets!

This was my introduction song to Weezer ~20 years ago. I remember downloading this from Limewire (basically where everyone went after Napster) because I kept seeing it constantly.
Genius and AZLyrics both have that as "I've got my asswipe" and is confirmed if you can find a lyrics sheet from a CD. I guess they mean TP? Though I've heard it used as a deragatory term to mean jackass, like "Hey, asswipe, get your head out of your ass!".

Weezer was a fun group I'm thinking in the early to mid 90's when they were getting alot of air time on the radio, you guys have got to check out some Birdy , she has an amazing voice and the song Help the people really hits ya in the feels but you guys need to experience her, give her a try 😉
This and Perfect Situation are their best songs imo. This song for a hard rock feel and perfect situation for a classic rock feel.

Oh! If your are really liking Weezer I think you might also like their cover album. Their debut was call the "Blue Album" in 1994 and then in 2019 they made the "Teal Album" a cover album giving tribute to some great songs, many of the originals you have already done reactions too! I would recommend any of these; "Africa" by Toto, "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears, “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" by Eurythmics, ”Take On Me" by A-ha, “Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, “Mr. Blue Sky" by Electric Light Orchestra. Very different sound than I'm used to from Weezer. That said, I'm usually listening to Pinkerton, which was a bit of the odd man out as far as their usual sound is concerned - or so I'm told. Cannot recommend that album enough - the entire thing is amazing. Any track off it would be good, but maybe start with "The Good Life."

The DJs on my uptight local alternative radio station that played this had to call it "Half Pipe" on air. 😀
They didn't just call it that Weezer actually recorded a radio-friendly version called Half Pipe that was broadcast on certain stations.
I was so excited for this album when it came out. The Blue Album is still my favorite of all time, and I thought Weezer was done because they hadn't done anything in 5 years. This album, The Green Album, was good, but not as good as Blue, or Pinkerton. I still think Matt Sharp, the original bassist, leaving the band, played some role in them never recapturing the brilliance of The Blue Album, but that's just speculation. No one really knows.
Matt's side project The Rentals is evidence enough for me. The Return Of The Rentals is just as good, if not better, than the blue album. I think they were both released about the same time
I'm sure you're right, but it's still a good album. I think one big problem is that Rivers wasn't really an indie kid in the first place (as far as I understand) and he got put on an indie podium. Then, every album after blue got a critical kicking and that's got to be confusing and disheartening for a song writer. That's how I see it. Pinkerton wasn't well received, Green wasn't, Maladroit wasn't... and they were all pretty good. Then they got Rick Rubin for Make Believe and it really wasn't a good album. White, EWBAITE, and OK Human are all really decent though.

Some of my skater/stoner friends in high school fell in love with this song when it first came out. They would often remark, "Duuude! It's a song titled Hash Pipe! It's the greatest song ever written!" I would usually respond by politely nodding then return to listening to Kill 'Em All by Metallica.

Big G's is probably grams of hash hence the hash pipe
The part of the song that I can’t figure out is the line “down on Santa Monica where tricks are for kids”. If it’s a comment on teenage prostitution and the part about “c’mon and kick me” being a request for abuse, I guess it makes sense. He’s coping by not coping and getting high. It’s a brutal song with a heavy, nasty riff.

You need to listen to Pinkerton it’s pretty much their best album with so much raw and a darker, more abrasive sound than Weezer's debut or and other album he was writing from a more direct and personal perspective, Cuomo wrote of his dysfunctional relationships, sexual frustration, and struggles with identity

Weezer’s first couple albums are awesome, Pinkerton and then green album and especially their debut blue album are just fuckin dope, blue is front to back kick ass. Even Bill kelliher of mastodon said he’d choose one of their albums if he was stuck on a desert island. They just wrote some great music.

The fun part is that at the time MTV had a no drug reference policy in their videos. So you could Watch TRL live, and hear Carson Daly promoting Blank Pipe, followed by every other word being censored.

There's a song written by Henry Mancini called Peter Gunn which was used I don't know if it was a series or a movie but pretty cool and that's kind of what that roof is similar to I guess yeah it's like she's got her Hang-Ups but he's got his Hash Pipe that's his solution to the problem alright you crazy kids
The music always makes me think of the Peter Gunn theme. Often used in spy movies and stuff

These lyric videos remind me of listening to songs on the radio in the early and mid 80’s and trying to write out the lyrics as a 7 or 8 year old. They would be hilarious to read now. They did have magazines that had song lyrics but I had an excuse because I was broke. 😂
