- Siemens SIMATIC HMI is widely used in process industries. To avoid any unwanted stoppages, it is a good practice to have the image back up of the HMI project.
SIMATIC Prosave is used to to serve the purpose. i.e to take the backup of the image file of the project in HMI.

No.
You have to use the specific version of TIA in which the HMI project was made.

This is not possible while u take image backup using prosave.

Would you tell me in my prosave backup option only "Complete backup" showing but not showing "Complete backup with the license" is it any problem because after restoring my backup in new hmi its not working. Please suggest............Thanks in advance

Can I download image on my laptop but my laptop isn't pg ?
Cause you change communication protocol setting in pg not ordinary laptop
u can download in laptop and can also change ur communication protocol.
I have a question. Backup copy cannot be edited right? Is it possible to upload from HMI a program that you can edit in PC?
If you have the exact version and type of the software in which the HMI project was made, then yes it is possible. Also you must have no passwords or security locks on your HMI project.
Note: The project on the HMI doesnt have to be an image version. If the downloaded file on HMI is an image file, then editing is not possible. only image upload would be possible via prosave.
@@PLCNerd so if the HMI program is made in TIA V16, I need to have TIA V16 and the HMI should not have password? If I fulfill these requirements, how will I open the project from the HMI in TIA?
