For me personally the last new NHL game I bought was NHL 17, then after a nice long break I picked up NHL 23 last year boxing day for maybe $20. Idgaf if this game is $1 come Christmas time, never touching an EA NHL game again lol
I’ve had the same glitch since last years be a pro. There is a chance when I sub on the ice, no matter where the play is on the ice. The puck we always go in my net and we get scored on. So I don’t play the mode at all
First time ever I’m not getting the game this year and that’s over 20 years! The stupid pressure icon you can’t shut off is a joke! Hopefully they make many upgrades next year adding much more plus different cut scenes and change that exact same arena they use for teams they don’t have actual arenas would be one thing to add
the roster issue is because be a pro runs on the same system as franchise mode except they dont have a salary cap. its ridiculous. been like this for years and they dont seem to want to even try and fix it. i just deal with it now.
Not to discredit or turn down anyone’s experience playing the game, but I’m grinding be a pro and having a pretty good time overall. The hitting physics this year just need tuned badly. You can barely touch a guy and send them flying, or crush someone and they simply brush it off. Crowd hardly reacts to big hits sadly. Also not a fan of how weak the clears are now when you’re trying to dump it. Game has a lot of potential but a lot it needs to fix/add as well
By the way, they also promised changing the setting for goalies to not auto center back into the net and auto hug post, that’s not in the game, the be a pro has been the exact same since NHL 21, the soundtrack got even worse, 22 and 23 at least were steps in the right direction, THE FACT THAT EVERYONE CAN JUST REVERSE HIT NOW WITH THE A BUTTON IS A HORRIBLE IDEA BECAUSE THAT WAS THE PUCK PROTECT BUTTON, I am playing the fucking Trial from EA Play and this is just awful, i’ve gotten almost every NHL game since 14 (15 and 16 were the exception I got NHL Legacy Edition for the 360 which was meh because it was NHL 14 copy and pasted with Doc and Eddie) but WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!
If you like defense and hitting. They changed the whole thing completely. Not liking 24. Will unfortunately keep playing 23. And often think how I pre-ordered like a jackass.
Actually going backwards… last played 2014 on ps3 and I got NHL22 ps4 and just got 20 for ps4. Presentation sucks, like the gameplay, some of the Modes, but the pay to win is Stupid.
i like how you went to 2k 75 dollars for a myplayer and then badge regression sucked and they have floor setters so you dont lose badge progress or you pay for it yeah that game works but its an even more cash grabb than nhl is

@@DarkN1nja77 I didn’t complain, I said it’s messed up to make us pay extra to play early and not give us the day 1 patch. As I already told you, I have no issue paying extra to get something I like. It’s a business expense for me anyway 😜😂😂. If I hurt your feelings by enjoying 2K, that’s your fault, not mine lol. But nobody is wrong for enjoying a game they like.

Also I’ve never seen you start at 23 before this year, it’s literally not allowed to be 23 in the OHL… and the game saving over your file with a different one is a pretty big fucking issue.

They need to ship the franchise off to San Diego Studios, MLB the Show saved baseball gaming...Maybe it could to do the same for the embarassment that is the NHL franchise.
Let's also not forget the fact that for whatever reason, they decided to leave out hybrid controls at launch only to be re-added later. Meaning if i were to get the game now, I’d have to use skill stick controls. I'm not good at skill stick controls. Basically, this means i wouldnt be able to play until those specific controls are re-added. Of course, knowing EA, they could just decide to permanently do away with that setting, which would then in turn force me into doing sim only franchise mode, which i wouldn’t be too happy with because i prefer playing all 82 games plus playoffs
@@mrgreekgm754 I know skill stick has been in the game for years, but I've always preferred the classic controls. The fact that those aren't being added until later means that I have to wait a bit this year before getting a copy
I’ve been playing nhl since nhl 14 this is the worst nhl game I’ve ever played, everyone feels clunky, both control styles are broken and the game is unbelievably cheesy still in WOC. Such a disappointment

At least you can play the game when madden dropped you couldn’t play it for the first 8 hours

I felt the same but adapted to total control in the last few days better than I expected.
Skill stick has been in since NHL 07. That's actually crazy you were never able to adapt!
