*Pro Tip:* Pinch the end of the tail shell to get rid of that fluid contained within. Start at the top of the tail shell and squeeze towards the end. Most of the time it will squirt out like a ripe zit. Sometimes there's nothing in the tail shell. Some chefs snip a small portion of the tail shell with scissors to drain this fluid. Also, once the shrimp have been shelled and de-veined lay the shrimp on its "stomach" on a flat surface and press the shrimp lightly until it's flat. You'll hear a slight cracking sound when you press. This way, the shrimp won't curl when fried. They will have more the shape of shrimp tempura. *EDIT:* You can "refresh" used cooking oil by frying a potato sliced into fries in the oil. No need to discard used oil when it can be used again. Waste not, want not.
I made this in December twice and my kids loved it. Had to come back to watch it because I'm making it again tonight for my husband and I'm sure he'll love it!
Good for you girl. You deveined the shrimp. Some lazy cooks do not do this. The “poop” chute can often times contain sand and this makes the shrimp gritty to eat. You did good girl. Old Bay is a winner also.
you should show us all the seasoning label that you use so we can see what the seasoning look like to purchase ourselves I am still hungry you are a blessing to s single guy like me thanks..
That's it. I'm making this tonight. Thank you for posting this! Update! I made them and they were delicious! This recipe was super easy to follow. I will definitely make them again. 😋🙏👍
Remove the yokes and just use the egg whites. 3-4 egg whites in a mixing bowl and then use electric mixer until it just starts to froth up. For every 1 cup flour add 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp garlic powder, 3-4 tsp creole seasoning. I use creole kick for that. marinated 24 hrs is a good ideal as well.
Yes LORD 10-12 minutes is to long for damm shrimp they come out tasting like rubber 5 minutes MAX , and I use my used / old cooking oil until I cant use it any longer 👌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Linda Joseph yes as soon as they turn pink on one side turn them over shrimp are done when they turn pink 10-12 minutes is too long because they get like leathery

Great recipe!!! If you are making these DO NOT cook them for ten minutes, cook them for 5, my advice ☺️
Kylie Memes she might have not estimated her time right bc I was like 10 minutes is a long time for shrimp
Simply Messiah lmao they will turn out to be some very stiff shrimp

10-12 minutes seemed strange. But I followed the directions. And ruined the first batch. SMH. Fried the second batch for 3-4 minutes. Came out better.
Sorry 5 minutes is actually a better cook time, you are correct

Definitely subscribed to your channel! Question, can I use regular milk if I don't have buttermilk? Thank you! Love your recipes!
You can use lemon juice or vinegar to your milk and it will substitute for buttermilk

Hey Sandra 💖
MMMMMMM
I think frying the shrimp 10 Minutes is to long! I fry my Shrimp about three to five minutes or until golden color. They come out great!
Isn't 10-12 minutes too long to fry shrimp?
You can take it out a little sooner if your prefer
@@IslandVibeCooking ok thanks! I'm gonna try your recipe today
Linda Joseph yes as soon as they turn pink on one side turn them over shrimp are done when they turn pink 10-12 minutes is too long because they get like leathery
I like my shrimp cooked well, hate when they're too soft. I never time it, just go by the way they look.
My throat itch just looking at it but I want some though! 🤤

10-12 minutes of frying time 🤔🤔for🍤
looking good girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cook for 6 minutes
When you leave tail on, when it turns orange the shrimp is done. No guess work.

i have question it was probably the lighting but the shrimp looked a little uncooked.
I was not uncooked
Under cook, girlllllllll 👋 those shrimps 🍤 was on point
If she did 10 to 12 minutes on the fry believe me they are not under cooked. They are over cooked!
10-12 minutes ???
Seems like a long time
Shrimp should not be cooked no longer than 3 to 4 minutes depending on the size
Hello tried but she didn’t like and she said she can make it better then soo im sorry u r a good cheif but my mom calling a bad cheif after i try how did u make iy
They look good but the got hekha oil
10-12 minutes is way too long. Should be more like 2-3 minutes. You were probably thinking about chicken at the moment.
You fried em for hekha long. They gonna be hella rubbery
please take of rings and jewelry while cooking
but love the video
Vedio to long
