I have been struggling with factorization since high school. Sometimes math teachers seems to make math looks hard. Now I love factorisation after seeing this. Thank you. Would you please make some more videos on equations that looks harder. Thank you so much. That's why we need people like you on this planet earth. I'am grateful.

I don't know about other countries but here in India we use a method named Splitting the Middle term. This method is a simplified version of it. We Indians use Sreedhar Acharya's Formula(Quadratic Formula) for the equations when the 2 numbers can't be found. The method used in this video is really helpful in solve inequations. That's how I found this video.
    Kudos @tecmath

One question: on the last example that has the 2 outside the brackets, does it matter which bracket the groups go in? So the answer you gave was: 2(2x-3)(x+2)=0....... The answer I got was the reverse: 2(x+2)(2x-3)=0.... Would my answer still be correct?

So I expanded (2x+4)(x+3) and it gave me 2x^2+10x+12. I then factorised it back with this technique and got (x+3)(x+2) which is a different answer. I had simplified the fractions for both sides, which were 6/2 and 4/2, but I found that if I had've skipped factorising the 4/2 fraction it would have worked. Can you only simplify one of the fractions? How do you tell which one? Can someone please tell me where I went wrong, or have I broken the formula?
I doubt this will get an answer any time soon as the video is nearly a year old, but worth a try.

2x^2+10x+12 all have a common factor of 2
So you could rewrite is as
