Excited for my math test tomorrow at 9:00 am after connecting and watching your wonderful GED math prep course; feeling well-prepared and ready to score with confidence - thanks for everything!
Hi. I have been slacking. After failing for the 6th time in December i became discouraged and disappointed in myself for not being able to pass. I haven't studyed...i had given up on it but this was in my feed so I'm back. I have to try to get back into this and have more faith in myself. I don't understand why this is all so hard for me...? 😢 i will be able to schedule my test AGAIN in 2 weeks.
You have the foundation, it’s now just about reviewing what you’ve already been working on! 🙂 Just keep in mind, don’t think about having taken it 6 times. Most students take it before they’re ready so they really weren’t prepared until attempt 3 or 4. Give yourself grace and peace, and know that the work will pay off in the end!! 🙏🏼
Hi, question: When you entered the equation into the calculator and then hit clear, then entered the formula, did the calculator remember the previous step, in order to get the answer?
You're awesome. I love the way you break things down. I've had so much difficulty with these questions until I found your videos. Thanks for all your help ❤
Get Sum Math lol I just saw the channel name after watching the video. That's pretty funny. Thanks for the upload. I have to relearn everything because it was so long ago when I took a math class. It's literally like learning it all over again. But less scary.
@@GetSumMath Thank you so much. Your channel deserves more views. I will go through your video library and check the website. You are an excellent teacher. Cheers!
Man i really wish you had your own math app or something where we can study and learn math daily. Right now I'm using Kahn Academy and while you explain something like how to find a percent in 10 seconds, this Kahn guy goes on a 7 minute tangent explaining the same thing and making you more confused than you had to be lol.
I appreciate that! I made my website to help be a learning tool to practice, so I hope that helps as well! It'd be sweet to have an app one day 😜 I was just talking about Khan tonight about how much he repeats himself 😆 That was one of the things I tried to not do when making my videos. Get right to the point and try not to waste time writing or repeating myself. I'm glad you appreciate it 🙏🏻
2:03 what was the point if you were gonna clear it Why not just do the formula straight up Or is it you just clear it for space for the next step Doesn’t clearing it make the process erased?
Hey there, you can always add when you see the ± symbol and you'll get the right answer 👍🏼 As for a negative, are you talking about having a negative in front of b?
@@GetSumMath oh my gosh 😱 I can’t believe it but I passed and with just a few videos from your channel. I’m filled with relief that I got a 150 score and just have to get my diploma mailed in.
Hello! I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some news with you-I recently took a test and scored 158, which corresponds to 52%. While this is technically a passing grade, I believe I have the potential to achieve a higher score. Therefore, I've decided to retake the test to challenge myself further. I'll be sure to keep you updated on my progress and share the final result with you. Wish me luck!
Hey there! Congrats on the 158! The 52% might be the percentile score, which lets you know that you scored better than 52% of people who took the test. All the best with your prep and retest! 🙏🏻
Hey I am storing the numbers but am not getting the same answers as you. I tried this on someone elses video as well. Is there anything I should be aware of when storing the numbers? I have the TI-30XS and bought it to have so I could practice using you videos. Are there any modes I should be aware of or should I reset the calculator or anything? I literally am following all the button presses as you so I dont know whats wrong.
That’s interesting, can you give an example of what you put in for a, b, c and what answer you get? We should be able to trouble shoot it and figure it out that way
@GetSumMath I realized what I was doing wrong. I was typing them in exactly like the formula instead of using the multiplication ✖️ sign between the letters A & C. Assuming that they would multiply considering that is how the formula was written out.
With not so much studying I got a 140 on my first try but this past two weeks I’ve been studying 2 to 3 hours a day and watching your videos and I am yeah and they’re very helpful I’ve been improving on my studying on this and just to clarify I do have my test tomorrow at 12pm I hope I pass and I do appreciate you for your videos
@@GetSumMath I past 149 am ged grad now thank so much for videos am telling all my friends at school look at your videos cause you get to the point and teach it so well thank you
in the calculator if I try to store a number as a letter again I sometimes get a syntax error, I think it's because I've already stored it, I think I have to clear the memory but im not sure what button that is on the real calculator
The order of storing a number makes a difference, so you'll have to do the number first, then store, then the variable, and enter. But, if you start with the variable, then store, then the letter and enter, that will give an error. Hope that helps!
It’s possible that the quadratic equation you’re solving creates a negative value in the square root. That makes the answer an “imaginary” number, so it gives a domain error! What is the equation you’re solving?
@@GetSumMath Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see this at all! But i wanted to let you know I studied your Site for a week straight and made my Math score go from a 139 to a 152 and therefor got my GED. I appreciate your free and straightforward lessons, as I'm sure you get that a lot. I wish you the best in life and hope you take care!

@showlovealways yes, the calculator remembers after you clear, so long as you hit the store button.
Another GED earned thanks to your awesome teaching! thanks for these videos
Congrats mate! 🙌🏼
Thank you for making all these GED practice. They are very helpful. I passed all four subjects in one take. Your channel help me a lot.

Why not just do the formula straight up
Or is it you just clear it for space for the next step
Doesn’t clearing it make the process erased?
Just clears the space for the next step 👍🏼 But those values are all still stored correctly
@ thanks
At 5:00 why didn’t you use a negative and how do I remember to add or subtract?
