- JJ Redick, Shelden Williams and the sixth-ranked Duke Blue Devils, travel to Winston-Salem to face Chris Paul and the seventh-ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons in a classic Tobacco Road ACC battle.
Game played on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

CP3 and Justin Gray were given the whole damn ACC problems in 05 one of the best most underrated backcourts in college basketball period.
I miss these days of WF! RIP Skip Prosser. Skip was a surreal coach. 😢
2000-2005 was the single best era of Tobacco Road basketball ever. It was literally the only period that all four programs were annually competing at a Top 25 level at the same time. As a Winston-Salem native, I know damned well that 1995-2005 was the peak of Wake Forest basketball, and I feel so fortunate to have been a little kid during that time period to have witnessed most of it. Go Deacs!!!!
This is honestly just beautiful basketball.
First Duke game I ever watched and the reason why J.J. Redick became my favorite college player ever.
The ACC was so loaded in 2005.
It sure was...The last time (for me) when the conference was relevant.
thacozzman2 I mean it has been consistently the best conference almost every year since...
thacozzman2 The most tournament teams, the best rankings, the most tournament championships, I mean through and through it has been the best conference this century.
It was
Justin Gray and Eric Williams should’ve left the same year Chris Paul left. They would’ve got drafted
JJ casually scoring 11 points in the last 2:14 minutes.
Thanks for posting all of these games. Great to relive them. Do you happen to have any of these games: '93 UNC at Wake, '93 Wake at Duke, or the '94 UNC at Wake?
You're welcome. At this present time, I don't have any of these games that you've mentioned, but I am looking for them, myself.
Cool. Thanks again.
Paul is a little trouble maker
