So I found a massive cluster of these the other day and after making sure I was 100% sure on identification I sautéed up a small amount tried it and waited a day. No I’ll effect so I decided to try this with about a 1lb of them. Right now the kitchen smells amazing.
I'm giving this a try
Excellent video. Super recipe. I cooked them and they are way good....... Thank you.
I will have to try them. I tried the brown mushrooms just once about 12 years ago, and they were just puke awful. So I've been eating just the white button ones since then.
Thank you for the upload Doc looks delicious and love that chopping board :) !
Just a question. How can these mushrooms be anti-cancer when you cook them to a burnt crisp? Isn't eat burned food carcinogenic with the burnt oil?
Just put it in a soup.
There is a difference in cooking them and burning them. Just because they are crispy does not mean they are burnt. Yes they got darker but they are already a brownish and will get darker while cooking them.
Crispy Oyster Mushrooms? Ymm...lovin' the recipe Wild Doc, have tried them fried with onion, garlic and cilantro, GOOD but crispy is the way to go! Thanks for sharing and greetings to ya from Mexico! :)
Hi what r the spices u use u don’t say can u plssssssssss let me know thanks
What do you do if you find worms in your mushrooms? Can you still eat them or is it a waste?
It really depends on the condition of the mushroom. If it’s a good mushroom I’d shake them off in the woods then just rinse extra at home. Usually I find slugs in man mushrooms.
So informative 😇
What temperature?
Nick Blanchard from what I saw on the oven on my large TV it was 450f. Hope that helps.
Doc replied to this question in another comment: 350F.
Nice thing about Oysters is there's almost no dangerous look-alikes. Perfect beginner forage. I'm currently halfway through cleaning 10.2lbs. 😵 Too much!
I just found 10 pound here in Alabama lol
Bardle doo from Maltlickey Texas!
loooolllll Teste's brother.
Oven temp?
We use 350. An air fryer has also done great for us since making this video!
It's not many times i am surprized but this video certainly caused me to think I need to ask - have you looked at the site called gregs mushroom grower just google for it
Then drain the water off.
👍😎🍄
Nice one, i know that's right.☺
u never sais what is in the lil whie bowl?? come on..
You are so cute thanks for the recipe👍🏾😊
Just submerge them in cold water for 5 minutes
Great recipe but please don't film with your hat on as it is a big distraction. Thanks
That hat is epic! If this is your chef’s attire, more power to you 🧑🏽🍳
But.... it does hide your face depending on the camera angle 😇
You can't ask him to take his hat off. Only he decides when to take his hat off
Every decent cooks know's never to use water to clean mushrooms. Giant fail.
Boy these are wild mushrooms. Not portobellos you buy from walmart
If you think a brush is going to clean off the raccoon piss that might well be on a wild mushroom, more power to you. I'll use a little water.
