So I found a massive cluster of these the other day and after making sure I was 100% sure on identification I sautéed up a small amount tried it and waited a day. No I’ll effect so I decided to try this with about a 1lb of them. Right now the kitchen smells amazing.

I will have to try them. I tried the brown mushrooms just once about 12 years ago, and they were just puke awful. So I've been eating just the white button ones since then.

Just a question. How can these mushrooms be anti-cancer when you cook them to a burnt crisp? Isn't eat burned food carcinogenic with the burnt oil?

Just put it in a soup.

There is a difference in cooking them and burning them. Just because they are crispy does not mean they are burnt. Yes they got darker but they are already a brownish and will get darker while cooking them.

What do you do if you find worms in your mushrooms? Can you still eat them or is it a waste?

It really depends on the condition of the mushroom. If it’s a good mushroom I’d shake them off in the woods then just rinse extra at home. Usually I find slugs in man mushrooms.

Nice thing about Oysters is there's almost no dangerous look-alikes. Perfect beginner forage. I'm currently halfway through cleaning 10.2lbs. 😵 Too much!

We use 350. An air fryer has also done great for us since making this video!

Great recipe but please don't film with your hat on as it is a big distraction. Thanks

Boy these are wild mushrooms. Not portobellos you buy from walmart

If you think a brush is going to clean off the raccoon piss that might well be on a wild mushroom, more power to you. I'll use a little water.
