How to tell when Key Lime is ripe

I'm growing a key lime in a pot. I'm in Ontario, and today they've moved outside to enjoy the sun. I hope they can spend the rest of the season outside.

it actually has the same amount of juice (slightly less actually due to evaporation) however the cell structure is weakened during the ripening process making the juice easier to extract.
