The first implementation will make it definetely into the V21.0 release but as far as I heard without user editing first... so just different color schemes in the first step... A dedicated editor will come a bit later...

As someone who is interested in Film Scoring Fl is still not up to date so I had to switch to cubase, it pains me though cause I love Fl Studio so much but I know its always changing as soon as it has an awesome update specifically for film scoring (like adding a video engine) im back on it!
They have *"Fruity Video Player",* I use it just for visual reference while making music videos, you can get decently accurate with syncing but that's music videos. I'm not aware of what all goes into film scoring, but as far as adding music, foley, reverb, or other effects to the source audio, it all should be doable. At the moment, Fruity Video Player isn't intuitive IMO, for example; _You have to have a pattern on the playlist at about where the video would end if you want the whole video to play through... because it will only play up to the end on the last object on the playlist. (which brings on a new problem, hunting down where on the playlist the video end)_ _You can't easily work with multiple video sources without them overlaying, let's say you have two clips, unless you want them both starting at the same time, you'll have to manually type in a delay time for one of the videos_ _Lastly, you can't simply export the video afterward, only the audio from the source video with your added sounds and changes is exported. To export it with the video, you'll have to use the _*_"ZGameEditor"_*_ which only just makes things more complicated_ *Btw check out the tutorial of Fruity Video Player on FL Studio's UA-cam channel*

Would be cool if you could do a "Half Time by Cableguys effect" to MIDI. Yes, you can do it with samples or midi playback using gross beat, but I mean actually changing the MIDI itself, not the sound output from the mixer where it's fed by the MIDI (if that makes sense)
A big part of the effect of Halftime is actually the pitched down sound from the resampling... this isn´t possible with midi... But if it´s just about the timing that´s actually quite easy to do in the piano roll editor

Agreed. An FL user named FLStudioBits made a complex hotkey thing a while back using 'AutoHotKey' with this feature. He also made an 'FL Studio Mapping Formula' one for the 'Link to Controller' window. Seems he deleted all his stuff from the lack of feedback from the people that were originally requesting features which he was implementing. Just checked the forum, and a user called 'shtreebun' made one in 2018. Now thinking about making my own..... :)
Is it possible to have a disabled plugin (vst)? Like a not muted, just disabled so it can free up ram and template friendly. Because other plugins consumes CPU during idle or hogging large RAM.

I have a quick question, at 4:45 you mention that you wish they would add more presets for clip chopping, I'm curious, does this chopping method work similar to the piano roll chopper, where the chopper uses a .fsc file as a basis for chopping? If so then then it would definitely be possible to create custom score files for exactly this and that would be huge for my workflow!
No sadly not...There was a request for making user presets for chopping possible where one of the devs answered that it´s sadly a bit complicated to make a frontend method for user to create their own presets...

1. They have already announced a new mixer sometimes in the V21.x update cycle... let´s see what this is offering... 2. at least you can now create the automation via a clip and convert it then to Event Automation afterwards...

I want the mixer dB meters to also display RMS 👌 And for something i don't think any other DAW does: a native plugin or built-in feature that also displays LUFS. I don't really like that I have to download youlean loudness meter for this.
I know at least of Reaper and Cubase doing LUFS (on the Master)... In FL Studio there will be a new Mixer added no that long in future... perhaps you should tell them your wishes as long as it´s in the make!

According to their own statements they are doing well... seems that sales to new customers or customers upgrading to bigger versions of FLS are enough to fill their pockets...
Then I fear you still have to wait some time... Nevertheless I cannot imagine a single situation where this should be sooo essential and would be a full showstopper...
I wish they improve the performance because all of this is kinda pointless otherwise, still positive changes that are appreciated but seriously it just cannot perform this bad in 2022
The performance gets constantly improved and in this update there are slight changes too... If you do a real test FLS isn´t that bad compared to the competitors... but there is of course room for more... I will talk about this in a future video
@@flstudiotricks6903 They improved it about 40% from what I've been told and experienced, but as soon as you load a few instances of Kontakt the UI starts lagging like hell to the point it's almost impossible to work with, while looking at my taskbar my cpu is about 40% of its capacity so it's totally an FL thing, compared to something like Cubase it's far far behind
Dunno man but i can have 10+ instances of serum, 5 instances of kontakt, loads of samples + 30+ fx plugins on the mixer and i barely get a performance hit... Consider updating to a better SSD, CPU, RAM and Audio interface perhaps? I've only ever had bad performance on low end laptops and older desktops.
Only if FL studio fixes latency and how it records. Ive done many of test changing buffer size / Changing options / Record options and after recording your always for the most part going to have to manually quantize the notes. For people that have the mpc or using a midi keyboard that would be off to me as other daws collect and auto quantizes notes directly on grid even if your a hair off and without having to change any buffer settings etc. Also countess of videos to where people has all types of set ups of there pc and they manually quantize after recording each time To alot yea you can hit ALT + Q to quantize and thats fine but its still the fact you have to do it. I can record in reasons daw and i dont have to do thtat. FL studio should one day change the game it would make a midi keyboard / MPC much more valid to use. Actually when i use fl studio i draw in my notes for that reason and my setup is no slouch and i have all the right settings. Its not a hardware problem its software even i can take a lower end spec pc and use it with other daws and it works fully correctly no manually having to quantize notes

To ALT + Q takes half a sec and to line up the notes that it missed. Still a solid DAW tho but i wish they handed recording like other daws. If something is set on 8/8 quantize before recording it should directly catch the notes on the grid for that timing. To go even further ive turned the quantize off in other daws and still was in line if i was to do that in FL studio that would be even worse. Hopefully they reconstruct it i doubt they will but it would be great and it would make the mpc /midi keyboard more valid to buy.

Still you have to quantize notes so its not the same. How is manual midi parameter writing? I remember having automation lines for things like CC64 a nightmare if you didn't write them during recording.
Basically it shouldn´t be a problem to add them in manually afterwards...

Reasons / Logic / Studio One / Ableton / Any other daw i dont have to change settings and it records directly and perfect no need to quantize after.
So its not the same. Yea you can record but ALT + Q is a close friend in fl studio.
