Hook Latching up a Fun Christmas Candle Pillow

Here is another old hook latch kit that I bought at an estate sale. It turned out very pretty and I am looking forward to giving it as a gift this Christmas Season. Let me know in the comment section: have you ever hook latched a project? What was the design?
Items needed for the project:
• Hook latch kit and tool
• Yarn pieces
• Scissors
• Needle and thread
• Coordinating material
• Rubber cement
• Fabric for pillow portion
• Sewing machine
• Fiber fill
Directions:
• Gather all materials
• I began by sorting all my loose threads by colors
• I tightened all existing yarn pieces
• Finish hooking the yarn onto the canvas
• Fold the extra canvas around the outside edge and secure it using some extra canvas threads
• Cut and sew the pillow casing
• Sew pillow form to the hook latch art (found it easier to sew it onto pillow casing prior to filling with fiber fill
• Stuff the pillow and close up opening
• Fluff and then give as gift!
