Hi Freddie. After your chat with Richard and mentioning his age, I thought I'd tell you what happened to me this week. I was out and about in the town of Milford Haven on Pembrokeshire. I pulled up for five minutes along a road in the centre of town, where I saw a lady in her later years slowly strolling across her garden to retrieve her recycling containers from her front gate. I hopped off my bike and grabbed them for her, and brought them to her house. We got chatting, and it turned out she was 104 year's old. 😮 What stories she could tell...
Ohh Freddie & Monika, so great seeing Monika waving in the reflecting sunlight! A great adventure you shall both have. More of Monika's jovial spirits, laughter & voice! Enjoy
Thanks for the relaxing video Freddy, and for Monika with post production music choices and handiwork. Great to see the Bonnie behaving so well, running so sweetly - The WURKS has commented as well :)
I’ve been following you for a few years now and I live in Massachusetts 30 minutes away from Dedham and this is so interesting, I just love all this random facts you mention. Thanks for your videos Freddie!!!
Theres something magical in Your films. Its sunday and I cannot miss this short film - normal life - content connected with a motorbikes.. it really calms me down. Thanks. Tranquility is the word for the day.
Ever since your WURKS Bike rebuild, you have been the lucky owner of one of the finest Bonnevilles on the road in the UK. Lucky Man! Have many more excellent rides, and take us along for some of them... Get used to those Starlink satellites cruising through the night sky. In a few years, we won't be able to see stars anymore...
I can't help thinking that the lead from the Quadlock should be at the bottom, not sticking out the top... Great video, just up the road from me, I really must check it out sometime.
So relaxing to sit with a coffee and watch what is happening with and Monica A great way to spend some time here on the west coast of Canada chilling on a Sunday afternoon. Thank you
As a 62 year old man who’s just retired and after 3 years of shall we say a number of challenges, is trying to check out to a more quiet life. May I say I admire your lifestyle and really enjoy your blogs. You appear to lead a rich life indeed!
Great video Freddie. Peace and quiet. Nothing beats it, which is why I moved to the southernmost village on the Isle of Wight. Your Bonneville still looks amazing and yes, I think you are right about battery drain issues. My '21 plate Royal Enfield Classic 500 wasn't started for 6 months last year and the battery still read 12.4 volts when I eventually started it! Simplicity is king I think 🙂
Love your videos and style and british accent. Bought myself a 2023 speedtwin with 1600 km's on the clock. Its the most beautiful and quality looking bike I've owned. Grtz from Rotterdam 😊
Brilliant video Freddie I'm watching it here on friday night in a storm lashed northern ireland that's a magic village we have nothing like that here riding since 1970 and at 70 I'm a dry weather motorcyclist but I love your videos
Very enjoyable video. Sunny Autumn days in traditional English villages and towns is always nostalgic and lovely. As an Englishman who left the U.K. many decades ago I often miss these rural English places. I visit once a year and pottle around on my Royal Enfield visiting museums, air shows, county shows and hiking the countryside in places like the Lakes, Dales, Shropshire, Derbyshire, Brecon and Herefordshire - but I find the UK cities absolutely horrendous, hostile and alien nowadays - and the traffic on the roads is so bad that it’s somewhat stressful and getting more so. I don’t mind the cold in small doses provided it’s dry and sunny like this day in Freddie’s video but often the weather is poor in Blighty and I have other places in the world that are warmer and sunnier to go. Whilst I mainly camp on my travels - UK has worst camp sites in the world and free camping is illegal - the odd day in a nice log cabin surrounded by farmland is very welcome and I am motivated to explore Kent, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Lincolnshire next time. Plan to go to ABR festival again if I am there - again on the trusty Royal Enfield Himalayan - although I am inclined to trade in for a 650 Bear. A perfect bike for pottling around the beauty spots of Britain and indeed further afield into Europe. Again - thanks for a lovely video.
You’re right Max- British villages are still beautiful and feel safe, but quite a few cities are crime ridden and have been allowed to feel lawless in areas. I must do the ABR!
That’s what makes this channel so endearing. The nimbler of times I’ve done a job in my normal togs only to get covered in grease and oil and throw away clothes. Yet ihave overalls, just being human
@@volt8684 I assume everything on this channel is a promotion, sponsored or freebie. This isn't a criticism, capitalism is the best form of wealth creation yet invented. What a beautifull peaceful village. Wish i lived there, riding my little classic. And how Monica captures the scenery is amazing, taking us with you on your trip. Thanks for this. Love from Holland

Shame i love freddies relaxed approach with my breakfast but any mention of that man makes me feel sick. Great video though and i will box those thoughts away.
Don't you just love getting back on your favorite bike after a break, I feel the same with my Guzzi, like coming home.It looks lovely there, hope you had a good week. I think you need to put both panniers on Freddie 😄.
I carry a very lightweight pack ,folds up to golf ball size + or _. Saved me more than once when no space left in the panniers. With a pillion you can wear it to the front or the pillion wears it. Cheers.
Triumph back in the 70's such memories I guess I should make more before I go...71 now.....Thanks Freddie Monica....I remember this place.....nice....hot tub seals the deal....lol..
Beautiful setting. It's nice to see you both enjoying the countryside and getting a ride on the Bonneville. At times, I take my area for granted, and seeing you really appreciating the scenery reminds me. Live in Montana, and when the weather allows, ride my Bonneville to some of the last best places in the USA. Thank you for shaking my mind awake.
As a "Yank" in the states, I do enjoy playing detective on Google Maps and doing my best to track down these little out-of-the-way stops you always find. A real challenge sometimes...took me a bit to find Dedham and that little coffee shop. Looks splendid. (After seeing that shot of the breakfast, I can see why there is a wait!) Amazing about the connection to Massachusetts. Good history lesson.
Beautiful scenery, nature and village. Also always love hearing Monicas infectious giggle. So lovely. Have you and Monica considered moving to the country 10 minutes outside of a little village? Once having a taste of country often people don’t want to go back to busy crowded cities, and I cant blame them.
Love that old phone booth and to find that it actually works, that is just golden. It definitely would not have lasted here in South Africa, besides the phone being stolen or vandalized, they would have stolen the entire booth.
Once again you're a great tourism ambassador for the UK Freddie. I think I've got to make the trip in 2026 to check out all the lovely little villages.
Just a bit of extra info - The great Puritan immigration to Massachusetts in the 1500s had people from all over north Essex heading over there. There is an Essex County in Massachussetts, and towns such as Halstead, Brainree and others in Mass were named for the same named towns in Essex UK.
Hey Freddie...waving to you and Monica from New England where Dedham is about a 20 min ride away.... although the Dedham in your England looks a lot prettier...😁
Excellent presentation Monika and Freddie. I used to race motocross a lot in Essex during the 80‘s, wonder if there’s still such events going on these days? Wish you both good weather, Best wishes from Germany Sher 😎
What a beautiful place, I must go sometime and explore, I just need to get it I to my head that everywhere down there isn't overcrowded! Thanks again for sharing such delightful places 👍
Freddie, that cabin and the place you two stayed at on Lake Como are my favorite places. My wife really loves the videos of little places you go. That little cabin with a hot tub is all I need. And a 5 car garage next to it would be nice. You look a lot warmer in this video than you did in the last one. 🥶
Dedham area was one of the places we went to visit when my parents visited me at boarding school (Kesgrave Hall, now a hotel) in the 80s and 90s. Constable Country. The same chain that now owns Kesgrave Hall (which also has those baths in the bedrooms) has a few establishments around Dedham as well, which I'm sure you saw the signs for, like Milsoms and the Talbooth. Have been to Ipswich a few times since for work, but Dedham never since.
A tip for agonisingly cold hands that I learn't as a teenage biker. This is counterintuative but run your hands under cold water for a few seconds. The pain and discomfort will entirely leave your hands and fingers. Don't be tempted to run warm or hot water. The ruptured blood vessels that will result will be worse than the discomfort of cold hands. This technique works like magic. I'm guessing it opens up capiliaries that have shut off due to the cold to protect the bodies core temperature. The result, blood returns to the hands and fingers almost instantly.
Hi Freddie. Dedham, Massachusetts was settled in 1635, so 140 years after Columbus "discovered" America. Of course, he only discovered the southern islands and portion of what's now the US, and the Vikings had discovered the continent 500 years earlier. And as well, the Native Americans had been on the continent for more than 10,000 years before that. So there's that. 😄
Dedham is lovely, I've worked in that church many a time, the only problem is if visiting by car that parking can be a nightmare because of how popular it is.
I've cycled through Dedham, had my lunch at the Marlborough pub i really need to go back so beautiful. And wow just been looking and the National cycle trail (51) which i have used goes right by Malting farm into Little Bentley.
Great stuff as usual Freddie. Being a Suffolk boy I have to agree that it’s an overlooked, but great part of the world. Always something charming around the bend. On another note, I added Oxford heated grips to my Street Twin and the Mrs’ RE Meteor this spring and they absolutely changed riding through the year for us. They definitely extend the time you can spend on the backroads in the winter and I actually used them all summer too, even with goretex gloves. They’re only £60ish online and you could do a great video on installation! Bit ugly on the handlebars, but my warm digits couldn’t care!
Hi FreddieDobbs, another great video as usual, so calming and yet warm -despite the dead of Essex winter, with lovely cinematography from the very talented Monica. I noticed the goggles you were using with your helmet, they look quite fitting with the helmet - what make/model are they. I have been on the lookout for some just like those to go with my By City Roadster helmet. On my way now to watch part 2. 🙂
The bucolic dream - very nice. A decent touring screen, handlebar mitts and Oxford heated grips would make the Bonnie a much more attractive prospect in the winter. You could take the screen off in summer if you don't like the aesthetics. Liking the Canadian feel to the cabin, I spent two years in northern BC when I was 22-ish. Fabulous country, but too cold for me now. Never get old codgers admiring my RT, they take one look at the size of it then start worrying it's going to fall on them.
Hi Freddie, if it was Muc-Off, then I’d suggest rinsing it off thoroughly. I once sprayed my bike, got a phone call, and forgot about it. Evening came, so I left the bike until the next morning. It dulled the black paint and left vertical smudges. Eventually, I managed to buff it out with an electric polisher.
Nice to see the Bonnie again! Yesterday I’ve ordered a LED headbulb since the lights on my Bonnie aren’t great and visibility doesn’t have to be a luxury. Maybe something you would appreciate as well Freddie? It even puts less load on the battery so it comes with a great bonus
I can see the attraction to the place and with a nice quiet town nearby. Freddie I was wondering why you didn’t put the other side bag on your bike before heading into town.
Hi Freddie, Bonneville looks Great I wish I could have had a longer chat at the RE stand I had Bonneville SE 2010 a absolute stunner and fab bike in the white and blue your black one is spot on, have you ever considered the modification to the starter gear they are common to self destruct on backfire and sometimes cracks the crankcase if it's done you have nothing to worry about my Bonneville was not done it only had 5000 miles on that was 2 yrs ago and Streetbike( Now Gone) another dealer in West Midlands. I px for a Street Triple now gone also. Happy Riding Kim
Great vid as usual but I would recommend getting some heated gloves I did it and they where a game changer for the cold rides Dave on wheelie good TV did a review on a set by iron gias I ended up getting them battery powered and there great
Picture perfect english village but you'd probably have to be a millionaire to buy a property and live there. Ho hum....maybe some day i'll win the lotto! Lol 😁😜 Great video Freddie and your accomodation was beautiful.....even with those pesky squirrels! 😁

9:05 if you like winter riding you should consider some heated gloves or grips. I can recommend the ultimate add on grips.

Yesterday I’ve ordered a LED headbulb since the lights on my Bonnie aren’t great and visibility doesn’t have to be a luxury.
Maybe something you would appreciate as well Freddie?
It even puts less load on the battery so it comes with a great bonus
Thanks for this tip- that last point is extra tempting
Yeah Freddie, that was Starlink you were looking at.
