This channel is remarkable. Goes against all modern day cultural norms and is maybe inadvertently a Flag for Freedom and freedom of choice. Great work Jacob. I’m lighting one up now.
Hope you enjoyed your time and our fine nation! 🙏 That is so epic that you got some Rez sigs! I like how you actually take the recommendations of fans!
The brand 'nEXT' comes from 'Nicotine Extracted' and originaly came out as a 'light' cigarette, giving a feel of a healthier cigarette between the lines. Really enjoyed the tour ma man! Edit: Man oh man I almost wished the canadian candy cigars had plain ribbons hahaha
@jcfishclenney as a Gen Z who's worked kitchens the idea of MCDONALDS fries being cooked in fucking BEEF TALLOW instead of fuggin canola oil is like comically utopic. There was seriously an economy that could support that??
I am glad you had a nice trip to Canada! I live in southern Ontario and I've smoked for 40+ years, but it's brutal how much they are taxed, so every 3-4 months my friend & drive 45 mins to the nearby First Nations Territory and nearly every gas station has a heavenly tobacco store with tax free tobacco products. I buy bags with around 180 king size cigarettes for $12/bag. They aren't packaged, which is ok since the government considers them contraband, and they are actually rather decent smokes, especially for that super low price. If packaging is important to a person, then Cartons of ten 20 packs of the same smokes cost $17 or $18.
Them pictures on the pack are ridiculous. You don't see warning pics of obese people at fast food joints and that's a huge problem here in the States anyways
Hey Jacob, I’m not sure if you got a pack of Belmont’s on your trip here but they are by far my favourite cigarette. They are a little bit pricey now, (around $22.00 CAD) but they have bits of charcoal in the filter so it gives more of a clean smoke feel. If you rip the filter open you can actually see the bits of charcoal. Anyways just thought I’d mention that as I feel you may be interested! Cool ashtray btw and I believe that hole is indeed for incense. Enjoy your ciggies! 🚬 from Vancouver, BC 🇨🇦

Oh good! You finally took my advice and got some different brands. I haven't seen all of them yet, but I see you got du Maurier's- excellent choice Update: 16:00 LET'S GO! Belmonts are the best of the best. Charcoal filters. Can't beat it
New fan to your channel Jacob. Its weirdly therapeutic 😊 Glad you enjoyed Canada. You weren't too far from me when you went to Rattlesnake point up here.
Great video Jacob. I live in Toronto myself and adore Frank Correnti cigars. Just a tip, rest them in a humidor for a number of weeks as they are pretty wet when fresh. Mrbs flake is really nice, just puff slow as it will bite you otherwise, cheers.
Du Maurier Signature are the most full flavoured blend. There are no better cigarettes in Canada then those- the perfect first pack too buy. Before plain packaging came , they came in a unique sealable wrap that helped contain the freshness, they also had hallow filters- but they also tasted alot better before 2019 when plain packaging came. I believe they also changed certain ingredients that are allowed in tobacco and the paper when plain packaging was introduced, but i could be wrong.
The first brand is pronounced Do-More-E-eh not Do-Mare. I am pretty sure the McDonalds are the budget brand of Export A. I also believe the most full flavor Players would be a John Players Special if they are still made. Back before the plain packages, most of the brands had different strengths. They were Ultra, Extra, Light, Medium, and Filtered. Then some had premium flavors. Most all the brands come in a slide pack of 25, but there were also slide 20 packs. I always enjoyed how the slide pack kept them fresh compared to the foil packs like you would get in the USA. Great videos!!
IN the town I grew up in would sell us single smokes for 25 cents and we called them "lucy's" Export Gold are my favorite smokes, when I splurge one expensive smokes that are my go to. Also, thos cheap reserve smokes are really shit. The packaged ones have a couple brands that are ok but over all they are not good.
Great cigarette haul from Canada! We'll look forward to your reviews. When my throat gives me a hard time, I switch to several packs of full-flavor menthol cigarettes; the mentholated tar seems to act like a throat lozenge and eventually the hoarseness goes away. You might want to try that.
There is something about a channel of a young guy smoking and drinking himself to death. Lol. Sorry if that was a bit over the top. Not meant to say anything really, but we all live our lives hopefully to the fullest. Maybe Jacob will deal with effects of his smoking and drinking eventually, and he will if he stays on his current track. And that smoker's cough during this video as I am typing this made me laugh - and at the same time, mad me sad. But my point, if I have one, is that we enjoy watching a video of a guy doing something that used to be promoted and done all the time on TV and even airplanes. I went to CU Boulder in the 80's when the professors and students would light up in class. I cherish those times when things were "simpler". We could light up on airplanes and while listening to a professor in college drone on during a lecture. Those were the days. My advice to Jacob is to live the life that makes sense to you. No judgement here. You may at some point come to a realization that if you want to increase the probability of living a longer life, you might need to change your behavior. Drink less, don't smoke, etc. But it's your life, and no one should tell you how to live it. Life is extremely short whether we live 100 years or 50 years. Doesn't really matter. It's quality vs quantity. Do what makes you happy and fulfilled. And be courtesy to others, of course. Be kind and respectful. Find your way through life that makes you the most productive as possible, I can assure you that you will not be the same person you are today when you get older, and you may look back and wonder - what the hell was I thinking back then? Lol. It's just life. My tl;dr post here is just to provide maybe valuable advice that only comes with age. Wisdom is knowledge that comes with experience. We can obtain knowledge with effort at any age, but wisdom is something that only comes with the passage of time.

oh man, glad you got a pack of du Maurier Signature.. it's been my go to smokes lately. Belmonts are good but du Maurier's just smoooth, also I think Deadmau5 smokes du Maurier unless he changed lol. dope haul!! edit - also next time if you are in Canada, you gotta tell them you want Large King = 25 king size cigs, or Small King = 20 King size cigs, like "small king belmont" for 20 king size cigs.
The 1970’s “California” ashtray is so cool. Canadian thrift shops are pretty good, I stopped at a few when I went there. Zippo cigaret lighter is cool asf. Also, RIP Barb Tarbox. Some of those warnings are terrible.
as a canadian i tell you the warning labels get old fast. i bought a box of cigars and it was not cheap but when i get it the wooden box had been painted green and a large picture of a dying man is on the top of it and they are wrapped with plain packaging underneath but if you peel off the band the original band is on the cigars
du Maurier Signature is the full flavour. du Maurier Distinct is the medium, and Distinct PLUS is the medium with a charcoal filter - my personal favourite. They also have smooth (lights) and mellow (ultra lights).
RS stands for "Regular Size" (standard cigarette length), while RG means "Regular Gauge" (standard thickness). RS focuses on length, RG on thickness - same vibe, just slightly different feels
Im glad you didn't try Canadian native cigarettes. They're really cheap, but that's for a good reason. They're disgusing. When i used to smoke i remember finding wood chunks in native smokes lol
They're way better nowadays. I smoke the Canadian Classic silvers full time, and they're just as good as anything from the gas station. They were pretty bad 10 years ago.
Playfares from Chilliwack British Columbia are floor cheap , literally . I have found all different kinds of hair , dirt , strings , dried bugs , you name it . And the cigarettes themselves were fucked , to nicely put it... After 13 years of smoking , I quit September second this year because of the native smokes here . I only smoke cigars now (century Sam's) and sometimes bandi
Canadian cigs worth trying are Camels, Winstons, Northfields and CNT's. Players plain's are discontinued and Export plain's are pretty hard to find. American Spirits are the only cigs here that are comparable to the Americans.
Belmont is the full flavor smokes. That is correct. rs rg is also full flavor is regular size. Yes it's confusing lol and I'm from Canada. The plain non filters sadly r discontinued
the half pack warning label you see is the warning labels real Canadian packs had on packs from the early 00's to the early 2010"s. all the Rez pack warning labels are basically stolen from current or old warning labels on cig packs
