Here in Phoenix during the hot weather I take the grapes-wash them in cold water- line a tray with tinfoil-remove any stems-and put them out for a day or so turning them as much as possible and voila raisins. No need to boil them. I also do not let them dry out completely as this leaves them juicy and full of sugar
@@sebastianzola3589 also we in India don't like them juicy and full of sugar. I've made some that were like that and they pretty much tasted dried grapes and not raisins
Yes, we can make any grapes into raisins, but usually raisins are made with seedless varieties of grapes. You can choose to use seeded variety. Thanks for watching the video. Pls Subscribe!
I make raisins from our excess grapes from our vine every year. I've never thought to put them in boiling water for 2 minutes first. I will try that with my next batch.
Watching the video and hopefully I can do this before the cold weather comes here again..I saw it because I want to make raisin paste..so I'm gonna try it.
i have washed raisin and extract its seed and store it normally in open bowl but now a days it is looking like wetty, some water it is extracting but earlier it was not like this so how to manage it. should i keep it in packed jar or in open air bowl. please suggest mem why it happened and how to avoid this. Thanks
Yes you can make raisins in microoven also. But it takes longer, 4-8 hours. Sundried raisins will last longer compared to raisins made in oven. Thanks For Watching.
Was it two minutes? I might have missed it. Two minutes? I'm crying here in Finland. I don't know what sun is. Can you dry them in sauna?

Okay
Great. But boiling a little removes the moisture and makes it easier to store
@@AKumar528 I guess its just a matter of taste

I live in the UK & sunlight isn't always reliable! This won't work for me!😫
What's stopping wildlife from pinching them?
Thank you so much for sharing the recipe. Can we do this with black grapes with seed? ( One kind of raisin we get is with seed.)

I stopped buying raisins but I keep buying grapes
You can also put them in electric oven for some hour on low tempreture, no need for three days 🙏
