After the mini series those fears were vanquished and fell in love with her as a hero and mom. It’s particularly funny watching her interact with Peter. Worth a read. Great review as usual, sir!

Now this is the best Marvel Legends Spidey ever since Pizza Spidey. Its got everything you need- the complete 3 sets of hands, a Peter Parker headsculpt, pinless elbows & knees, AND toe joints. As for the MJ figure, I'm glad they gave her double-jointed elbows, but she still needs an ab crunch though! A singular diaphragm cut isn't enough articulation for the torso.

Honestly I wasn't too fond of this Spidey... The 1st appearance Spidey is the one that's been making me the most happy! I think he's the best ML Spider-Man we've gotten and that extends to the Amazing friends version too... *That* for me is the definitive version from Hasbro - Awesome review as usual!

Great review as always! I have my set preordered and can't wait. I don't know if anyone mentioned it in the comments but Hasbro Fortnite line has gone to the windowless packaging, too. I received the Walmart exclusive Meowscles (Ghost) and was surprised it was in a box with window less packaging.
man they fixed a lot of things that bothered me on the Retro wave one, but the fact that he's stuck in a 2 pack...KINDA HURTS MAN, totally waiting for a normal release
I love the idea of Mary Jane as a superhero. Now she gets to spend more time with Peter and Peter doesn't have to constantly worry about putting her in danger.
I don't mind her having powers either--it's more for me just seeing them be happy together with their daughter. While "down on his luck" Peter may be preferable to some, I'm more in the camp of being glad when things actually are working out for Peter and MJ.

That Boog Spidey looks pretty nice next to that Unparalleled Cap. That Spiderette will look pretty cool when I use it to make a custom Phoenix or something too.
20:45 they're so risky thinking no one will see them in New York :p The "toeticulation" makes it look like you're talking about another brand, it's so odd but so cool! I do feel MJ's articulation isn't on the same level and that also makes her feel like a bit less appealing in the end. She could have brought the toe hinge as well and that would have felt as more of a match, maybe. Nice job here!
That Spider-Man is truly amazing but I got unlucky with QC on Spinneret, two left fists and no right fist and shoulder paint that scraped with any slight posing. I was excited for that figure since I didn't have any of the prior Shriek body type figures, but it left me underwhelmed a bit. I love the unmasked head though, the face looks so much more lifelike than the last one and whilst I'd prefer more of a wash to the hair like the last version had, the flat red does match the source material and I had the old head on the Moira MacTaggart body, so the redder hair actually gives it more contrast than the prior version did.
Sorry they didn't give your Spinneret the proper hands. Dan Who (a UK reviewer) got a Spinneret with a lot of the white web lines missing on one of the shoulders. Quality control leaves something to be desired

Was waiting for the amazing fantasy spider-man to add to the display but its too expensive, luckily found this 2 pack for 45 bucks, spider-man is fantastic im glad i got this one its almost perfect, spinneret is also great i just dont have any connection to it and she doesnt fit my display so i sold her but she was really good too, i was scared for paint imperfections but figures came out clean
Thank you for going over the changes on the shoulder I had the same issue with the retro spidey and the paint gets chipped with every movement atleast in this spidey I wont have too much to worry 👍
Can someone please tell me how going all cardboard is "Good for the Environment?" The less plastic you use, the more cardboard you use. The more cardboard you use, the more trees you have to cut down. The more trees you cut down, the more pollution and industrial waste you make processing them into cardboard. Of course cardboard CAN be recycled . . . 2 or 3 times. Then it becomes an organic slurry that can no longer be processed into a solid form. More industrial waste! Who knew something so good for the environment could be so BAD for the environment?

Yep Hasbro need to improve the torso articulation on the ladies. Either a lower ab crunch with a better ball joint at the diaphragm, or go the Lady Jaye route from GI Joe Classified, with ball joint waist as well as torso. Why the Hell does she have two holes in her back? Good to see Spidey people with more hand options, but give em some web effects. The web splat to the head and the one over the shoulders for preference. Great review.

Certainly some awesome improvements on Spidey BUT...if only they'd use matte paint! That would be another simple, tiny change that would've elevated this figure no end! ...I personally don't think I'll bother with this figure as I'm not a huge fan of how the diaphragm cut looks or the overly muscular thighs etc. The new Animated Series Spidey, 1st appearance and Amazing Friends buck is much nicer imo.
Ya know, black panther should be on this spiderman body. It has much more articulation than the Vulcan mold, plus this seems to be more bulky, a reason why this shouldn't be on spiderman in my opinion.
Is that Shriek's body? If it goes on sale I will definitely buy it for customs. But as it's said on the video the main thing it's Spider-Man. While expensive, Spidey fans are getting so many options this year. RYV so far is the only Spider-man using that body. Everything else announced is either using Retro or Amazing Fantasy. I think somepoint soon we will just stop seeing Spider-man with visible pins because they have plenty of molds. Hasbro really has the solutions but just need to implement it company wide. Between Gi Joe and Power Rangers they have a good articulation system for both male and female figures. It just raises an eyebrow when they show on Shriek and Vulcan despite the torso's obviously having old articulation they have sense improved upon. It just makes getting excited about new figures difficult when you know it's not the best they could do. Still it's just frustrating how they treat the female figures which isn't helping to sell them.

Spider-Man with movable toes may as well be chicks with giant honkers for legends collectors because they don't know how to react when Hasbro did something that has been done over a decade ago.
Yeah, this Spider-Man is close to being the perfect Marvel Legends Spidey. The only things really holding him back are the neck and torso setup. If they gave him a separate neck piece with a double ball peg and a waist joint, he truly would be the ultimate Spider-Man. Import level articulation right there. Not making him part of a double pack would also help. XP

Like we should be getting toe articulation on all spideys, especially because of the price inflation. Most of the figures we get these days are just repaints with new head sculpts painted web lines and wall crawling hands. Hasbro need to do better.
It is one of the best marvel legends spiderman but when all the other ones are trash that doesn't say anything and still this guy isn't that good, the retro spidey is terrible, we everyone saying the retro spidey has a lot of articulation yet it can only move his elbows 90 degrees, also the muscles still look a little bubbly and more problems Wich that would become to much for a comment and to be honest the problems stand out even more now that the prices are going up
He’s got new, bigger shoulders too, which helps with the overall silhouette… the retro spidey’s shoulders were always too small

Yeah on my copy the butter fly joint has a little groove allowing more upper articulation wich was not on my retro spidey

Happy to get this, just which the two packs had windows, I used to keep two packs in boxes.
This new spidey is good with the pins not there but i think instead of giving the toe hinge they should have fixed that neck issue.
