one of my favorite lines from Harris was when he had to get an emergency suit, and he says something like, all these years getting custom made suits when I look good in anything.
Yeah Sgt. Harris was my favorite, with Dietrich a close second. He was so cool, and then when he was sued and became bitter and just a little pathetic, it just added another level to his character.
@@TheNightmare_13 The title escapes me but it was the one where they were all quarantined at the precinct. Harris is dreaming and wakes up shouting that line.
Ron Glass was also AMAZING in the short lived sci-fi series Firefly where he played a VERY different character, Shepherd Book, a pastor with a mysterious past, possibly a former spy.
Actually the best Harris clip was with that Polish guy at the beginning, where Harris says to him that he’s a published author, then asks him if he’s surprised. The Polish guy says “Nope”, and while Harris is smiling he continues “Nowadays, any bumpkin off the street can get a book published”
I just Love Harris! He is very dapper, on the Show, with the other Plainclothes Detectives' He has a heart humour after eating the " Hash Brownies.....lol. ..
They ALL made the show. one the most perfect ensembles in history but Harris definitely played his part and without him the show would've definitely had a huge piece missing.
Ah CHANO AND HARRIS, WERE BEST OF BUDDIES ON THIS SHOW, AND I AM CERTAIN MOST LIKELY IN REAL LIFE. BOTH ARE FABULOUS ACTORS ! WILL BE MISSED .... 🍂🌱🍂🍃💎💎🔱🔱☯️♥️♥️☄☄🕯🕯🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🎇🌕⛾
When the arrest-chasing lawyer heard Harris talking about incorporating, said that it wasn't a good idea, answered a couple questions, and told Harris would be getting a bill for legal services, the way Harris turned around and said, "Say WHAT?"
MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE CHARACTER WHO WAS A GREAT ACTOR IN THE " BARNEY MILLER " SHOW. HE WAS SO CAREFUL ABOUT HIS CLOTHING. NONE COULD MATCH " OUR BELOVED HARRIS" - aka " RON GLASS." 🌺☯️🔱💎♥️🌝⛾🎇☄🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Harris & Landedberg were perfect together. It’s impossible for me to have a favorite, they were all a perfect fit
You can never not laugh when watching this show.....Awsome watch it everyday
Ikr. I watch at least one episode almost every night.
Very true, all actors in this show were excellent in their character development!
one of my favorite lines from Harris was when he had to get an emergency suit, and he says something like, all these years getting custom made suits when I look good in anything.
One of the greatest characters ever and Ron Glass was perfection in the role! Barney Miller would never have been the same without him.
For real,,,Ron killed it on there
I kept my eye on him in every scene. They were all great characters, but it was Ron Glass who had my attention.
Yeah Sgt. Harris was my favorite, with Dietrich a close second. He was so cool, and then when he was sued and became bitter and just a little pathetic, it just added another level to his character.
Harris and Fish were my two favorites on this show.
Oh, man! How can you have a "Best Of Harris" collection without: "Oh, God!! I Wanna BE Somebody!!!"
I’ve been looking for the name of that episode for the longest time and so far no luck
@@TheNightmare_13 The title escapes me but it was the one where they were all quarantined at the precinct. Harris is dreaming and wakes up shouting that line.
@@fluff1353 that particular clip is in a second part to this video

That ain't no preacher
When I was a kid, a cop named Ron Harris came to our school every year to talk to us. The kids used to refer to him as Officer Hairless.

I Watchyou every night... All the actors were the best.... And Ron will be having a birthday in July...rose hills California 🙏🇺🇲👕🇺🇸
Both Ron Harris and Ron Carey have been dead for the past ten years, at least.
Classical Greatness
I just Love Harris! He is very dapper, on the Show, with the other Plainclothes Detectives' He has a heart humour after eating the " Hash Brownies.....lol. ..
My favorite line of his
"Hey Barn if I can't drive a car I sure as hell better not try and drive a bus"
Sharp as a tact
In a way, Harris was really the one who made this show go. Absolutely irreplaceable..
They ALL made the show. one the most perfect ensembles in history but Harris definitely played his part and without him the show would've definitely had a huge piece missing.
this is the DUMBEST comment on here. Maybe in all my youtube experience.
I like the fact that the writers stopped giving Glass black-flavored lingo as the series progressed.
I love that man he's so beaitiful in side and out. RIP RON. I miss you‼️❤❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢😢
RIP RON GLASS. HE WAS ALSO ON SCI FI SHOW FIREFLY.
I always had a crush on Harris.
I seem to remember Harris's sense of style was not that different than Wojo's in the beginning but quickly evolved.
Ron Glass was such a talented actor and is deeply missed.
Whomever disliked this is going to a very special level of hell.

Ron Glass is a Cool Dude!
They left out when he got sued for plagiarism over his book. "Blood on the Badge." I'm still laughing!
Not plagiarism
Sued for libel I think. For putting characters in his book which were too easily identified.
Anyone know the name of the episode where Harris tries to go to his book signing but he and Dietrich had to go do a mugging call?
Missed my favourite which has stuck with me for decades... (probably not a perfect quote)
"The judge said I can't be appealing any more."
Mooshi mooshi
Detective Yemana (Jack Soo).
Randy Carmichael.
Always hated the show sucks worst ever It's so dumb
Can't help but wonder what your idea of a good show would be....Baywatch? Something with a lot of violence in it? Trash like that.
What a pointless comment!
