Yeah I’ve done the clean up for these places and it gets all over your upper body the gloves just help with grip and getting over with the texture of particular disgusting things that you pick up with your hands ( the gloves also protect your hands from the hot water used to clean after all the meet is put up)

I've worked an internship at the Iowa State University Meat Laboratory's in-house abattoir, working the kill floor as a captive bolt gun operator and a carcass splitter (And a shackler during the week long poultry slaughter) Now to be fair, this isn't a massive commercial operation. This is an incredibly advanced on-rails, small-scale, USDA inspected meat processing facility used for educational purposes, for research, and as an artisan/custom meatpacking facility. It really wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.
You eventually go nose blind to the smell they wear boots and tarp overalls to keeps thier legs and feet’s dry some places give masks and glasses to protect your eye but your hands and arms can just be washed with some good ol soap and hot water

Some people have a switch that allows them to just stop seeing things as living things but just food it’s the only way to stop yourself from going insane. You can use it for good if you are of sound mind and the guys I worked with had good friends and family that did the same job so those same experiences helped each other understand the other and keep them in a positive state of mind. You also need to be aware of why your there you need to be able to answer that question quickly when you start to doubt things
They go through rigorous training, there's no cruelty involved and the work environment promotes efficiency. Yes, blood is disturbing to some, but it's in the job description and you're here to process carcasses into cuts, its not that deep.

That is not a pig. I mean, you literally see the unskinned cows in the background that are next in line. Only cows are slaughtered there. So this ist also a cow. You can even see the removes cow-head on the cart he is pushing.
While watching this i feel like it has negative effects in my mental health and emotional health and my blood feels weaker and my brain starts imagining the pain and i can't turned my hand into fully force fist 👊 because my blood becomes weaker and shaking.
