Ha. Growing up on a farm, I must have watched my dad do this a thousand times. I had no idea it could be done this quickly though. The old man wasn't bad, but you sir, are next level.
I was wondering about that. Also, I don't have a lifting apparatus and I notice Benny always seems to use one. I've got much smaller lambs (breed wise) but still thinking maybe I won't be able to lift the carcass. Geez, so much goes into meat eating, it seems!
So much to love here ... " ... he wont be needing that anymore ... " 🤣 love the bucket idea, backwards knife, loosen windpipe, split brisket with knife, pinch gallbladder, the skinning with clean wet hands ...... I cant even remember all the goodies here in your video, i have to go watch it again 😇 Much thanks, enjoyed very much and learned.
You're a bloody legend mate! Just had my first sheep to break his neck in a gate. Wondered how I was going to tidy him up. Hit your vid up and processed him perfectly first time. Got a nice clean skin to cure as well not a nick on it. Cheers to you, will be checking all your other kids too now. Ed Major. Devon. UK.
¡Hola!
Righty O - awesome. Well done. Your punch technique will be great for tanning hides. I've always ignorantly used a knife to hide the sheep which equates to a lot of fleshing of the hide. Thanks Benny, you are helpful and skilled. Take care.
Thank you for this video mate! I did this for the first time yesterday and it took 100x longer. I wish I saw this first! Mine didn’t look as pretty as in this video and I was working on a few for a 6hr session. Next time.💪🏽
Hey Benny, you need to learn from the Chechen fighters. This is the first time I’ve seen how the skin is removed from the neck to the hind legs. Come visit us in Chechnya. Well, in general, you’re doing great.
righty O chuck knick 1 hand punch'n 1 hand pull'n bloke back on tracky bloody bloody - lol fizzle and ring knife in backwards - brilliant The hide is soooo clean by punching (learned that from you Benny way too late - lol Well done. Enjoy all your videos - well done. Educational and entertaining - helpful
The first knife you used - is that double edged? Also, I use a cable tie (zip tie) around the pooper - keeps the crap in and creates a handy pull through.
Hi, no the both knives are single edged and I don't use any double edged knives👍. Good idea with the cable tie, anything to avoid any unwanted mishaps.
OMG, A bucket of water use to wash your hands the same time use to wash the body of lamb just easy to spread the bacteria. I just watch you how to remove inside the lamb so easy for you. Thanks for sharing.
Did this with of 2 of my mates merino sheep to make horse saddle pad covers out of them. Ended up with so much that we made a sheepskin cover for an under saddle shock absorbing gel pad we had then also made saddle seat savers to go over the saddles

Hey Benny, I had a old dorper sheep that died of natural causes so thought I’d give it a go, just practice not eating. Are dorpers harder to skin or old and dehydrated effects skinning process, skin was tearing off in chunks. Thanks heaps, watched my pop as a kid but I never skinned anything other then a rabbit.cheers
Wow what a great video! Straight to the point! I need to learn this since I want to be as independent from society as I can. I got pale only by watching the video though, so this is going to be a challenge... hahahah Will you make a similar video on chickens as well? That would be great!

Benny is a professional and he makes this thing look easy.
In addition to skill you have to be strong to punch through the skin as he did.

No dumb at all, just practice makes perfect and I'm still not there yet 🙃
I have seen a lot of proffesionals do this same thing, but your routine and how smooth you do it makes you one of a kind! Greetings from Belgium

To think you would make it look easier than in Red Dead Redemption 2 is truly an achievement👏👏
haha and here I taught its only me who want to look like Arthur doing it, what a small world we live in
You are a master, and thanks for that tip to hold the knife backwards to prevent puncturing the guts before they are out and causing a mess.🌿
No problem, thanks very much. 👍
From the navajo nation my friend you would be very handy and I'm proud to say this video helped me as well, it's all similar

Was the throat cut to kill the animal or was it to bleed him after the kill.

Now I know this is probably a dumb question, but wouldn't it make more sense to sheer it THEN skin it? Or is the wool there for easier grip??
Fantastic, do you like doing sheep as apposed to other animals
So what do recommend for skining, which is the best way, neck down inverted or neck up like this? Regards
