- In this video, I'm doing a mid-muffler delete (mid pipe delete) in my 2017 Dodge charger / Dodge Challenger. My Dodge charger / Dodge Challenger RT has the 5.7 liter V8. doing the mid muffler delete really wakes up the vehicle and helps improve the sound quality.
doing a mid-muffler delete is a great option if you want to improve the sound of your vehicle for relatively cheap. In this video, I'm going to show you if there's any drone on the highway, some acceleration sounds, normal driving exhaust sounds, and generally what the vehicle sounds like with a mid muffler delete.

Weird, my 2015 has this done and doesn't sound like this..
The 2017 & up models come with the Active exhaust system. The 2015 doesn't have it. There's a video where someone got a reso delete & a mid muffler delete as well I think, & it sounded close to the active exhaust system.
Does New York trip on this? Just moved here and I have the same car. I heard they can being annoying with that. And will it pass inspection?

Why does your dash say track. I got a 2018 challenger rt 5.7 and when I go to sport it shows a green flag. Mine don’t got the track
I used a Z Automotive tazer to unlock "track mode".
You can get the track pack rt too with launch control and all that good stuff, it's just more money!
Its weird, my build sheet says super track pack but i dont see a button for it

Not much drone, you can definitely hear it but it's not too bad.

Silent Dragon kind of like a humming sound at certain rpms, usually around your normal cruising speeds which is why people are so concerned with drone.
How much is the mid muffler delete?
i heard 100-200, depending on where you go. this first mod im doing to a new RT this coming week, along with a CAI i already got in. ☮
Mid muffler delete sounds mean. Stock sounds good but that is at a whole other level

Gady1986 I don’t know your state laws but in NYS it doesn’t. I have no issues with check engine lights either.
I feel you I live in Rhode Island and that's good that the check engine light don't go on usually that's why they get u for good looks bro much love
From what I've read, the mufflers do not affect emissions, however the catalytic converters do. Since this is just a muffler delete, it should not affect emissions.
Did you leave the active exhaust on?
Yes I did, it all still works perfectly
So now in sport mode it's really loud huh!

How much did it cost to get you muffler deleted?
I think it was like $90, wasn't too bad
Back pressure not good for any engine what engines need is scavenging the engine is a big air pump lots of air in/out equals hp and torque. With that being said it needs to be tuned properly to achieve this The car sounds great imo
