Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
This time I have dedicated myself to another great film composer. Since I really like the "How To Train Your Dragon" soundtrack by John Powell, I created this piano arrangement based on the tracks "Romantic Flight" and "Test Drive".

I agree, Although I am upset about the end of the franchise I still and very thankful to Dreamworks for making my childhood a lot more brighter ❤️ We will all miss Hiccup and Toothless, best duo I know 😂 The ending of the movie made me cry a little, I’ve personally never been this upset over a film as much as I was over this ❤️ Your comment gave me a new perspective and I’m thankful 🙃😊

When I was younger, I used to cry and be so sad that I could never be apart of the HTTYD world. Watching the final movie brung back the sadness, but I knew all great things have to come to an end. I had traveled with the characters all these years and grew up with them. I’m so happy to be able to have witness this amazing series. Love you all.

For me, it's exactly how you wrote it. HTTYD is, has always been and remains a part of my life. The message the film brings is that you can do anything with your friend. You just have to have confidence, courage and a strong connection. But playing this piece makes me a part of this imaginative, wonderful and magical world. ❤️

1:38 this movie is honestly the “perfect” movie. Has a plot that resolves itself with genuine emotion while having a soundtrack that matches exactly what we feel
And the LITTLE details they put in the movie make it all that more special. If you look closely you can see the charecters arm hair and other things like that. And even the music. The song stoics ship from when he passes is a sad version of Dancing and the dreaming which was the song he sang to valka ❤ these movies are perfect

Could not agree more. First one was my first date with my (now) wife. HTTYD2 was the first movie we saw after being married. 3rd was our 5th wedding anniversary movie together. We have the Blu-Ray box set. This piece also makes me want to go sit down at the piano again.

some advice for anyone trying to learn this: split the song into sections (intro 1, intro 2, chorus 1, chorus 2 ect...) and those sections into sections (right hand and left hand). and start off by playing really slow so I would recommend putting the video on a playback speed of 0.25 and following along. it takes a bit longer to learn it but you will be good at each part equally. also a tip with the bigger chords that he is doing. I would recommend doing hand stretching exercises as well as tapping individual fingers on a table top in different formations to help with control. I have been playing piano for 8 years and these tips have helped me greatly. have a good day :)

I have begun to learn this music on piano there's 3 months, and literally my hands hurt every time I play because I try to touch fast like the music is. But I know one day I'll be touching fast and beautifully, enjoying the song that I myself could learn and do.
@@paolagomespereira3627 The best thing you can do for yourself is to slow down your playing. You can hurt yourself if you try to go too fast (in fact, if you have pain in your hands after playing you're probably trying to go too fast)

Holy freaking christ I love you. How To Train Your Dragon has been one of my favorite movies of all time and probably the reason I'm alive right now. This cover is beautiful, it could not be better, I love you, if not for it's beautiful soundtrack I would be a sad sop with no life right now and this just brings back such bittersweet memories I'm literally crying right now thank you!

The nostalgia. I cannot say how much I love HTTYD. I don't know how many times I've watched the first and second movie, and nobody knows how many times I've watched the show on Netflix. This song makes me feel so happy. It's nice on piano. I don't know what else to say. HTTYD was the first movie I ever watched, and I'm glad I did watch it. There's so much nostalgia in this song. Everything is perfect about HTTYD. Everything about this video is perfect.

I still remember watching httyd for the first time. I was 8, not into animated movies, but was forced to watch it by my cousin. Since then, I've watched the first part countless times and the same with the second and thrid. Now I am 19 and happened to come across this arrangement... and Man! Up until this day I never knew how big role httyd played in my life. As I was listening, tears were streaming down my face and I had the good old childhood days flash before my eyes. My childhood ended with the last movie but I just got all the good memories back. I've never been moved so much by music before and coming from a person who don't get emotional easily, Thank You so much for this Patrik.🙏
