@@nardoskaros4434 usually you can buy it at any south east asian grocery stores. Some Chinese and Korean stores sell it too.

This will heal me after Jamie Oliver's green curry traumatized me
I too feel that trauma.

I love how many people are here after the Uncle Rodger - jamie oliver video, I've only made green curry a handful of times and I have -never- made it how he did, this is tasty looking :D
I cooked Green Curry today and implemented two tricks Pailin showed in this vid: i) reduce the coconut milk at the beginning and ii) use some chicken stock instead of water to enrich the taste. Well, the curry turned out to be aromatic, full-bodied in flavour, and great in texture. I am proud to say that my curry was quite close to an authentic Thai Green Curry 😎. Many thanks from Germany, dear Pailin, I will definitely check out your channel for further delicious recipes! 😉
Uncle Roger approved curry found it :) Greetings from Scotland. Have a lovely day everyone!

Aiya! For real 😂
I've made this recipe at least 7-8 times since discovering it back in September. It's really a perfect green curry for me, but I only use half as much curry paste hahaha. Everyone I've given it to has said it's on par with resturaunt green curry. You're a life saver.

Funny how a comedy roast video led so many people to learn more about Thai green curry. That said, here I am! Let's learn how to make this right
In fact, the word "Sweet" in แกงเขียวหวาน (Sweet Green Curry) is not about the taste but defines how "green" of the curry. The perfect colour of this dish must be a mild (sweet) green, not too vivid, by the combination of green herbs, green chilli, and coconut milk.
By the way, she does show us how the authentic Thai Green Curry should be.
Please check out my recipe - ua-cam.com/video/QEmSaiYLAnU/v-deo.html
but it's actually sweet

I just made my first ever Thai green curry. I mostly followed this recipe and used pork fillet instead of chicken. I had no basil leaves or lime leaves but found finely chopped basil at the supermarket. OMFG, It turned out as good or better than curries I've had at restaurants. thankyou Pailin. I can now eat my favourite dish when I'm miles away from any Thai restaurant in my truck out in the outback.🤩😋
Pailin thank you! I used to get this dish take away at a local restaurant all the time, and now I can make it at home. I saved so much money and my boyfriend loved it!
Made this today and it was terrific! I had some rotisserie chicken on hand, so tossed that in at the same time as the veggies. In my experience, Pailin's recipes are always good and she does a great job of explaining the details about ingredients, method of preparation, and so on. If you're here wondering if you should try this, the answer is YES!
Pailin, I want to thank you for the recipe for this dish. I haven’t had Thai food in so long because I can’t find a good restaurant that serves it. Having said that, I gather the ingredients and put it all together in one pan, outside in the deck celebrating spring! I had to make a couple of adjustments because my grocery store didn’t carry bamboo shoots (used water chestnuts for the texture) and no kafir lime leaves (replaced with lime juice and zest). This was soooo good, I ate 2 bowls and I will eat the rest over the weekend. One thing that just took it straight to a really good Thai restaurant was the basil. That liquorice note made it spectacular. I love it! Thank you, again!
Loved every second of how you explained everything, kept me invested throughout. Great instructional video and recipe. Keep it up! :)
Canned or bottled bamboo shoots can sometimes smell really strong! What I would do is boil them in a pot of water for 5 minutes or so to remove that smell.
Thanks for the tip Josh ✌🏼
Thanks

Same! It can even be chemical-like.
It's not Thai food if it's not a bit stinky.
Thank you. As a half Thai that grew up in a Dutch environment, your recipes help me get to learn my other side. Your videos really helped me learn to cook Thai. Thank you for this. My Thai mom has approved one dish that I made from you.
Pai - gotta love her! This is the best instruction ever...especially the 'reducing the coconut milk' and the 'adding the green color' bits... we were alway wondering about that! So good!
ขอบคุณ!
I made this curry dish tonight and it was a huge hit. It took me to 3 different stores to get the right curry paste but is was so worth it!!! I even ordered the book because my family loves Thai food. Thank you T
Pallin, I made it! So easy to prepare. I had it with some Thai coconut rice and it was outrageously delicious! Thank you so much. I have a feeling I will be making this again!
Oh my god, followed this exact recipe and it turned out AMAZING!! The whole family loved it. Tasted like the restaurant versions but even better. Thank you so much! ❤
I am glad there is a demonstration on how to make Thai green curry in English on YT so non Thai's can make this simple dish. Thank you for redeeming the yumminess of Thai green curry. ขอบคุณค่ะ ไม่งั้นคนต่างชาติจะคิดว่าเเกงเขียวหวานรสชาดแย่แบบที่เจมี่พาทำนั้น
Trust me, eating this green curry with crispy Thai-style omelette and jasmine rice is amazing.
Omelette and Crispy ?

Yep. Thai style omelette deep fried in hot oil. Crispy outside soft inside. 😉👍
"The heat!" I love her. Way more entertaining than most of the other cooking shows.
Love the tone of her voice when she said it. Lol
Just back from Bangkok and i bought some green curry paste from the market .Last night i cook it for dinner by following your recipe and it was so good . Glad that i can still freeze the remaining portion of the paste . Thank you so much Pailin:)
Thai food is always very healthy, delicious, and comforting with its coconut curry bases. I've been to Thailand and enjoyed the food all throughout!
Actually Thai food is not that healthy because we use many salty stuff and a lot of ingredients such as sauce and sugar. But if u compared to junk foods yes, it healthier.
Not sure about coconut milk as it's known for raising cholesterol levels.
Definitely not healthy lol, coconut is very high in saturated fats and Thai food is generally very salty due to fish sauce
As a fan of this channel, I'm happy to see this clip is getting more views from uncle Roger.
Oh my god girl!!!!! I made this last night and I was so impressed! Both my husband and I agreed it was WAY better than we get at the Thai restaurant. I used store bought curry paste (from my local Asian grocery) and I didn't have enough Thai basil to make mine the pretty green shown in the video (so no picture), but the taste was awesome. I will definitely do this again. I think I will even try to make my own curry paste. With your instructions, it should be foolproof. Thanks so much for the video and keep the recipes coming. Also, I love how you teach us what the Thai names of various dishes mean. I have been fearful of trying some of the things on the menu, but you make it easy to choose.
OMG! i made it and it taste EXACTLY like the Green Curry i ordered on Koh Samui Island Resturant.
Makes me feel like in thailand :)
Thank you for the Perfect Recipe!

So i made this recipe twice. The first time i used chicken breast and only 1TB fish sauce. The chicken came out to dry but the curry was perfect. The second time i used chicken thigh and had to add 2.5 TB fish sauce and it turned out amazing. Definitely my go to Thai curry recipe!
I used chicken breast with her adapted version and it was sensational! (The chicken goes in later so it doesn’t overcook.)
Oh my days she’s hilarious love her delivery will definitely try this tonight
i love how she describes the recipe..so expressive.
I can’t believe this video is five years because I just made this today for lunch and I can’t wait to eat it for dinner! Soooooo good! Thank you!
I like how you describe what makes green curry unique and the tips to make it green and the crunch from bamboo. This makes it different to all the other millions of green curry recipes.

I just made this for husband and I. And he rated it a 9 out of ten. I rarely get a 9 😂.
This was FABULOUS I cannot stress enough how good and relatively easy this was.
YOU ARE A COOKING LEGEND❤
Jamie who?
I gotta say I’ve been seeing a lot of recipes for this that are mostly consistent with each other (but with some different things to add), and I couldn’t understand why my green curry was so flavorless until I watched this video. The fish sauce and sugar for me were critical in achieving that “Thai green curry” taste so I thank you very much for your guidance!
Just made this today and it is excellent! Added eggplant. Thanks for the delicious recipe Ms. Pailin!
I really love this recipe from you! I just made it today and it was perfect. 😍 Thank you so much Pai!
I'm glad I'm watching authentic green curry recipe after ransacking every other channel ... Everyone puts (indian chefs especially) put the coconut milk at the end .. yours is the true recipe... Loved it when I made at home
Indians know how to make curry. There are just different types of curry.
This is literally my favorite dish ever. It even beats out Indian chicken Korma. I'm so glad to have a recipe for legit green curry now! Can't wait to try. I did make one once; it was a disaster.
Thank you so much for such a good receipe. I made it today and it turned out excellent.

@@ericwilson4250 This is an authentic Thai recipe. So Jamie may have learnt it somewhere. Palin is 100% authentic and shows traditional Thai food recipes in her videos. She does recommend substitutes so that everyone around the globe can make it.
I have made dozens of green curry recipes. This one is by far my go-to. Easy, and gives the restaurant taste I was looking for. Reduced coconut milk is the key.

Hi Pailin. Here a note from Portugal. I bought your book ‘Hot Thai Kitchen’ in Spain. Absolutely fantastic. I allready tried the Panang and the Green curry. All my friends loved it. Thank you.

My husband loved this dish! Thai Green Curry has always been one of my favorites in Thai restaurants and it is so nice cook a restaurant quality dish at home.
I love Thai food . .the main reason being the few similarities Thai cooking have with keralite cooking(South Indian) we also prepare green curry but it's cilantro and green chilli paste used . Coconut is an integral part of our cuisine too. . Coconut milk and coconut paste is added to both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes . . Thai food is my ultimate comfort food . Thank you for this wonderful recipe.
I'm here to see if there's any refuge from Jamie's Thai Green Curry video. Not disappointed 😂 😂😂😂
I tried this tonight. AMAZING! I added eggplant in addition to bamboo shoots and red pepper. Beautiful flavor. I used the Mae Ploy curry paste.
Im one of the many who has been on a green curry youtube binge after uncle roger annihilated Jamie Olive Oil. Liked and subbed.
thank you very much pailin. tried your recipes and was yummy, the only thing i added was green pepper, red bell pepper and onion cut into julienne
Hehe, made this a few times now with the Mae Ploy brand paste (I was happy to find it here in the UK), it is amazing! Making it again later for my father in law, thanks Pai!
Having never made a Thai dish and only one yellow curry dish before, I have to praise this dish and Pailin for her tutorial. This recipe was a 10/10. Simple, delicious and spicy, but not too spicy to where I was not enjoying. I sure was sweating tho! The flavors and aroma are wonderful. Two notes: a comment below says to boil the bamboo shoots for 5 minutes to get rid of the stinkiness (do this) and my coconut milk did not fully separate but became very thick. If you have never made curry before, I promise you that this is an easy recipe to satisfy your appetite for sicy!
I made it today for first time . I have tried it before in my friend’s house and I absolutely loved it, so I tried to make it at home. Thank you for recipe.🥰
Came from uncle Rodger, to Jamie Oliver now im here. And im glad. Im going to try this

Thank you so much for this recipe. I cooked Thai food for the first time and my sticky rice turned out excellent. I dont have the bamboo steamer and I was skeptical about the pan in pan method but the rice are perfect. Thank you
I did it today! I don’t have most of the ingredients tho! I used green jalapeños instead of thai basil leaves/thai chillies. I used mushrooms, cucumbers, and red paprika for the veggies. It still great 👍. Thanks for the recipe, Pailin!
