- Some extra features of the Revelli 1914 machine gun showing two ways of cooling, safety interlocks, recoil force adjustment and reloading a magazine. A short animation as I have been away on holiday. If you like my animations please sponsor me through www.Patreon.com/vbbsmyt

UA-cam recommended me this afternoon watching Ian's video
This gives a much better understanding , especially of the locking system , I love your stuff. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
Many neat features
Many jamming opportunities
Cool video
That was awesome. This is a truly unique mechanism.
Great modelling and animation, fantastic! Keep it up!
Thanks that explains several questions I had about that weapon after watching Ian's video of today keep up the great work
Amazing job with this one!
Again, bloody good work.
Excellent video! This your channel is a very useful learning tool. Thanks!
Another great animation. Thanks.
Great work, well done.
Beautiful!
Plenty of gas-operated weapons have adjustable gas pistons for more force, but this is the only recoil-operated system I know of with such an adjustable system. It may well be the only recoil-operated weapon ever made with such a system.
beautiful animation!! & !
Nice videos
👍👍👍
honestly a very neat and eccentric design. just curious, but I've been wondering how long you have been animating for. seems you are very good at making models and animating them, so I'm wondering if you might have some kind of prior work making animations.
Basterix9001: I have been making animations now for 11 years. I started out as an electrical engineer, then moved into computing. I have always been interested in how things worked, and animation seemed to be a useful way to find out. I am completely self-taught (so I may have lots of bad modelling habits). Rob
@@vbbsmyt yeah. personally, this will help me to figure out how to make an airsoft (Pneumatic powered so I don't have to have eco-heads whining about using Co2 to power it) version that can recreate the general functions of things like the bolt moving, controls and how to set up the magazine feed mechanism.
the "recoil control" will probably be just a valve that controls air pressure going to the system.
Good luck.
Would it be possible for you to do the Bushmaster I/II/III family of "chain guns"? I can find no information on actual mechanics and operation of those cannons.
Too modern for me. You can get some details on chain guns from Col. Chinn's Machine Gun history, Vol V. There is a link to a downloadable PDF in the bibliography of wikipedia article on the M242 Bushmaster. Chapter 56 Pages 453 - 463.
@@vbbsmyt Thank you.
So where most are belt fed. This use what I assume is a rack magazine?
For Italians watching this video: "FARE IL BIDONE" pensate al povero soldato, che oltre al suo equipaggiamento, doveva portare anche il serbatoio dell'acqua, detto bidone, +/- 30 Kg. 1 K thanks for the video. Ciao
Probably very expensive to make.
Imagine how many rifles you can make in the cost (time, money, and material) of one of these.
As long as it's compared to other HMGs, it's pretty simple.
@@neutronalchemist3241Does that include those strange feeding hoppers and tripod and all the accessories?
@@neptune3569 Any WWI HMG had a tripod, feeding devices and various accessories.
Rifles weren't full auto and controllable
You could also say "you could make more dingle shot 2inch barrelled pocket pistols with this" but rifles can't fo machine guns work (expecially in ww1)
@@kino_61 That I know, but what was on my mind was that how difficult it may have been to convince people in authority to divert resources and money to producing just one heavy machine rather than a few rifles.
I‘m too dumb for this. Can somebody explain to me why the water from the water jacket doesn’t flow through the hose inside the tank and outside of the water jacket?
Hagen. At about 0:20 you see the front compartment of the water jacket half filled with water and steam escaping through a perforated tube into the rear compartment, from which it flows down to the water tank and where it condenses. This is much like the other water cooled MGs of WW1 (see my Vickers and MG08 animations). The Revelli, however also has a pump in the water tank which (if you have a spare man) can pump cool water into the front compartment while the hot water escapes through the perforated tube and returns back to the tank through the hose connected to the rear compartment.
vbbsmyt ah thanks a lot for the explanation!
С днем победы!
All my compliments.

Very good animations buuuut piú has an accent on the u (PIÚ)
Sorry.
@@vbbsmyt that's the olny thing between the video and perfection and is so small that even in italian (sometimes difficult laguage even for italian people) is spelled wrong
Unfortunately, our inexperience as a united nation in creating weapons has made us commit countless mistakes. For example this machine gun is not a tape and was therefore prone to jamming due to dirt and earth. The Austrians kicked our asses until we changed mentality and tactics
let's attackt he same river and mountains 11 times in a row, no way this doesn't work
