Aging Wheel's intro of the vehicles and people in the race rules segment was incredibly well written. Jokes were very clever and relevant to each vehicle and person. I'm a normal person.
Yeah…though it was kinda cringe that he’s coasting in the truck while his father is pushing WTAF! Dad pushing, then much younger son Kyle should be pushing, dad should be steering.
Each squad is chill until they start falling behind. It's pretty funny watching them get nervous like the others aren't going to be stopping for a long time too. LOL.
That was my thoughts too. Cybertruck has the smallest battery, but good efficiency and fast charging at more locations. Biggest concern is if they have no Tesla superchargers because the Cybertruck can not charge anywhere else yet.
@@markrichards5280 I think that there are to many variables to rely solely on that. First consistency of charge rate. Yeah it can charge fast but finding a charger that will reliably give that rate (Tesla love it or hate it there chargers tend to be more reliable at giving peak charge rate). Second location of chargers. Tesla chargers tend to be better located and more numerous. A lot of other brands can be miles off of the interstate. That alone can be a detriment.
I don’t know why I love these long road trip videos, but I really love to veg out on a relaxing Sunday evenings by watching these. Over the past year, I have watch a dozen of these 2 hour videos from end to end. Also, this video reminds me of my own Ocean to Ocean trip I just did in my Tesla Y a few months ago.
Driver is taking it too serious to be witty or fun. Which is fine, but less entertaining unless it pays off with a win. Kid seems like he had a lot to prove
I love the geek on power charging, esp with most EV users not understanding that arriving with %1 or %2 levels means you charge so much faster. Just went Seattle to Kansas City on a tesla 3 and even on the highways tesla has the best charging network. Love this and will recommend!
I can't believe the silverado isn't making more news. It's such a good EV truck. Huge battery, fast charging, long range, a lot of storage space, towing capacity. I've been really impressed so far. If they can get the price down a little I think it will be a huge seller.
@@canadiankrispybacon Not sure how relevant this is but my 04 dodge ram hemi 4x4 has a rolling/sliding tonneau cover and the truck gets about 14 mpg with 3/4 of it being highway driving on stock wheels and tires. I feel like the cover might get me about 1/2 an mpg more tops.
I've been saying this forever, Kyle is without a doubt going to end up causing an accident at some point the way he drives and acts, he makes Californians look like good drivers
Yeah I don't know why my fellow US drivers have such bad lane discipline, it's not uncommon where I live to see some douchebag pull alongside a semi and match speed blocking anyone from getting past them
dude has probably never actually touched a high capacity battery in his life lol "its probably splitting the pack, the 400V" "the charge curve is better" haha like bro.....
Not sure if anyone commented on the need for a tonneau cover for the Chevy to improve the range, always worked on the ICE version or drop the tailgate. Can’t believe I watched the whole video, best movie I have seen in a while. Thank you.
Awesome feature length video! When the V3s came online, it's a hop from V3 to V3. When V4 comes online, it will be a hop from V4 to V4 in the 800 Volt architecture.
I love this because it shows real world issues. Would be neat to do a larger group of EVs including cars and do the race. Also your dad is delightful, and a whopper surely is one of the best feeds out there.
1:26:25 - Tesla would know what kind of vehicle is plugged in to each stall by the handshake. They could eventually know to declare an adjacent stall unusable based on that. If the eight stalls were labeled 1-8 when looking forward at them, and a Lightning is in stall 2, using stall 1's cord, it could know to declare both stalls 1 & 2 in use.
I like how Kyle talks about charging as "juicing up " the vehicle. In the 1970's, Hot Wheels came out with the Sizzlers, which were electric car toys that used the Juice Machine to recharge. My childhood has evolved to the modern world! 😅
Can't believe I watched the whole thing. 🙂 Great editing. It's interesting how close they are this far into the trip. My guess is that charger issues will be the major decider.
1 good thing about the Silverado is that the charging port is on the driver side rear just like Tesla. So it will fit in better at the superchargers without all the shenanigans.
Correct. At least Mary did one thing right. And yet Rivian, with a 2 year lead time on their next models, are going with the right rear. And you wonder why the most highly funded startup in American history is struggling to make it with its stock down over 90%. Who's making those decisions? Can you imagine the decisions that go on behind the scene?
What’s funny about your trip is I’ve done this trip along I10 from Florida to Arizona many times in my Model 3. Could have told you which chargers to skip!
wow, i am shocked right now, could we talk about life and could you donate some money for a project of mine - its intent is to help human kind and you are also there to help human kind - deal?@ElonMusk-bs8kd
This was easily the best and funnest road trip I’ve ever done. Part 3 is gonna be crazy 👀
Yo tesla flex!
That was a crazy close finish!
@KidGigaChad same!
I want to see if there is a record time for a solo trip. Sometimes I have insomnia and can stay for 2 days straight.
Love your channel
I invented a new drinking game, every time Kyle says “this is the craziest thing we’ve done” you have to drink a shot. I got so drunk
I garden instead: I’m doing this with garden supplements. Wish me luck
It's usually every time he adjusts his glasses and runs his hands through his hair.
I'm ded
Epic!
that was fun 👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
only out of spec would do a video like this😂 love what yall do for the ev community
I love that Robert is doing collabs with ya'll!
The Buc-ee's guys blocking traffic was hilarious.
This is like watching a baking show when you are hungry! Now, I SO want to go on a long EV road trip. Can't wait to get my Silverado RST.
The BEST 2-ish days you could have!!

this is a party of 12, loving it, keep your dad in these tests
Yeah…though it was kinda cringe that he’s coasting in the truck while his father is pushing WTAF! Dad pushing, then much younger son Kyle should be pushing, dad should be steering.

I can’t wait for the next episode! It obvious you guys spend so many hours editing these videos….its worth it!
Whatever vehicle that Kyle is in will win. He's the wildcard with the most experience when it comes to EV charging.
That was my thoughts too. Cybertruck has the smallest battery, but good efficiency and fast charging at more locations. Biggest concern is if they have no Tesla superchargers because the Cybertruck can not charge anywhere else yet.
oh I don't know, that Avalanche EV has better charging and a giant battery.

LOL 😂 Max “boost mode in a Corolla: turn off the hvac”. Well played, Sir.
My '96 Saturn in high school had this feature.
Corolla has double the range of any one of those trucks.
@@tom_hoots Thats is a fact and I should had never gotten rid of my 2012 Toyota corolla it was beyond great on gas.
Can't wait for parts 2 and 3!
Ugh this is only part one ...f this .. 😂😂
Will the real Elon Musk please cancel this fake . 🤣🤣
Got to give to out of spec, these guys live to do this. Love how they can pump out these massive videos
The refrigerator magnets on the CYBERTRUCK tailgate was great. Tasteful and rather funny. Same with the refrigerator joke at the end. Nice.
Another Cybertruck on the road! lmao

This is the best video of the month on UA-cam
Dave (Kyle's dad) is really cool. I wish my dad was that cool. Glad you and your son are having so much fun out there. Enjoy your trips!!!
Dave’s always dressed for the occasion lol
and ready to eat at all the stops!
I'd be damned if I took a long trip in some trousers and a button down. Sweatpants or basketball shorts are the only options
He needs to look nice for Buc-ees haha

What a great and entertaining video. Please keep doing these videos. I know they are a lot of work but the information you all provide is so valuable.
Thanks for this and all you do to educate and improve the EV experience!
I personally have learned a lot. A car that has to stop every eighty miles is stupid.
It’s about time. I’ve been anxiously waiting and checking everyday for this videos since you announced it when you took delivery of your Cyber Truck.
The Burger Kings! l'm loving it... oops, wrong restaurant...
Love the burger king hats ❤
Ding fries are done
Great to see Robert from Aging Wheels! Need some Coda time.
Man, the Rivian team seems like they’re so unhappy, like they’re being forced to race.
That’s because they aren’t driving the Cybertruck
It's the feeling CCS leaves you with.
Driver is taking it too serious to be witty or fun. Which is fine, but less entertaining unless it pays off with a win. Kid seems like he had a lot to prove

Game face
This is the most fun video I've seen in a long time! 😃
This is great! love the long form videos, can't wait for the next ones!
AHHHHHH, IT’S FINALLY HERE!!! I AN ECSTATIC TO WATCH IT!!! ❤

Coz it’s just a Silverado as conventional truck that blends in with others except CT.
I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have had a tonneau cover…would definitely add range..like, upwards 10% ..with these miles..that’s significant
That's true, it is a great EV. However, GM isn't profitable with their EVs, so they probably don't have much interest to make them at scale.

Robert from Aging Wheels is in the video?
I'm in.
What an epic test, such a great side-by-side comparison on a epic debate.
surprisingly entertaining, you picked some good friends/workers.
"Let's go see which one's the best road tripper!"
Ya got my attention!!
This was fun to watch.
Anxiously awaiting Part 2!! 😂
Is it just me or does some of those guys need to straighten Kyle out. He is gonna kill people to save 2 seconds on a cross country trip.
Yeah..wasn’t impressed having his dad push while he jumps in and coasts with the father pushing on the last one 🤔 Going to give his dad a heart attack
Definitely not the most respectful fellow

Love these races, Kyle! Massive props to the rest of the crew, as well.👏
Great entertaining stuff - Thanks guys - will continue following

Thumbs up out of the gate for the start-of-race breakdown voiceover!
Phenomenal. Looking forward to part II. You guys need a Netflix mini-series akin to Long Way Up.

Wow. These are the out of specs uploads that I really enjoy.

Wooo Robert appearance! This was a crazy crossover episode.
Great video, love these road trips.

Seeing how Americans drivers not keeping the left lane free hurts so bad...
Is enforceable in Alabama. But I haven't heard of anyone ticketed for it yet.
@ElonMusk-bs8kd wow yes Mr.mask, what is up?
Yeah I don't know why my fellow US drivers have such bad lane discipline, it's not uncommon where I live to see some douchebag pull alongside a semi and match speed blocking anyone from getting past them
Haha, just go to California where you’ll see the main culprits be Prius drivers.
Because it’s a stupid rule, and even more stupid law.
I don't even own EV, or can't even in near future. Still enjoying these long videos😊
Hope that changes for you sooner than later.
Love this series. Thank you!
Btw, the voice over was hilarious!!!
