Welcome back. Thanks for the information
Thx
Just picked up 2010 w216 cl550 4matic will be this doing great tutorial.
Just purchased the scanner and going to attempt to reset re-calibrate and level the right height on my 07 CLS 550, I hope everything works great, excellent video!
How’d it go, did it work?
Eventually yes but it is limited to how low you can go if you get lower than a specified range it will not save, if you want to achieve a lower ride height you’ll have to use lowering links or a specialized module
@mcr-0455 thank you. I have a 09 CLS550 and was going to try this. About how low were you able to go? Is it even worth it?
Did you have to keep recalibrating before it finally saved? It's saving for me but when I restart the car it just reverts back.
@billibandz1761 about how many inches were you able to lower your car?
Yes the car was set at its lowest setting and I will try using both sets of numbers next time, yeah my scanner is probably newer 23 programmed or something like that but it doesn’t show the functions exactly the same as yours but I can still get there somethings just are not numbered, thanks for the tip I will try different combinations on the given values and hopefully it will save them, thank you again brother I’ll let you know what happens
How did it go . I have been away for awhile but just in case these steps work for me .
When you are lowering the car and the hieght for the rear and fronts can’t be greater than 3 digits apart.
So for example if front Right and Left are at 3 the max the rear can be is between 0 or 6. So 0,1,2,3 ,4,5,6 will work for height levels
Whatever range or height you lower car can only have a difference of 3 or less. Anything greater than a 3 digit split its not gonna take it .
Once you get that dialed in you go to save the angle value is final step. The same goes for saving that. It can only be within range of what is gives for front and rear . Like -0.9 and. +1.5 so anything between those two values it will save . Sp for example -0.9 ,O, +1.0, +1.5 will work
Also have a lot of experience building custom cars show cars specialty performance vehicles and now I currently work for a dealership on the central coast in California this is my fourth Mercedes-Benz but the first one I’ve tried to do electronically, have a little bit of an idea, anyway the car was on level ground each wheel arch at the center was 26.5 inches from the ground, I don’t remember my scanner offering me those values as I changed the height, I manipulated each corner electronically set the car at my desired height , I really think this canner is functioning 100% correct
Sorry didn’t mean anything, Just eliminating steps out equation narrow thjngs down.
I’m not around my car but I would be glad to maybe compare and walk thru over phone video.
I’m also interested to see if updated model a difference.
Well I would show you a picture but I believe it was about 2 inches, car was all original had a huge gap between the top of the wheel wheel opening and the tire, definitely worth it watch the original tutorial, as far as how far I believe I used to have about 3 inches of tire clearance between the top of the tire and the wheel wheel opening both front and rear and now I’m down to about a half inch of clearance front and rear
Hello, would I need to install lowering links to get my s550 that low or would it work on factory links?? Using just the scanner
can you show what happens when you press the button on the interior to raise and lower? Just curious if doing this will have any effect on the use of the raise height button on the airmatic setup. Will the raise and lower feature still work after doing this or will it reset the air suspenson to stock height or what will happen?
Yes it will do the same. I set it when it when. Light off lowest setting on Airmatic .
Follow the video and try it with the car running, use the option to compensate pressure for front axle and rear axle, enter the correct parameters then you’ll hit OK and then you’ll hit save and then you’ll get confirmation, try it with the car running, it’s a chassis module it will not affect it having the car running
I could’ve swore I entered the correct ranges I think I said the wrong numbers in my first message the fronts were 1.5 and the rear was -0.9 and then I tried -.9 and still got the same results, my car is similar to yours so I followed the same steps and used the same Values as you did, not exactly sure what I’m doing wrong here but I several times, appreciate you bro thanks for the reply
Also when you lowered it how close where the values between front and rears on scanner? You don’t want it lowered where it’s out of factory range for values.
When you lower your car you will see numbers for front and rears. You want car on level ground and degree of seleration between front and rear to be as close as you can. Example Frt +3 rear +2 or front -2 rear -3.
If i remember if the difference between both is over 3 it will default and won’t save also.
Once I got the car leveled and both sides within range then I went to menu to save the values within the two values given on scanner. But you still before entering those numbers lower your car correctly and leveled.
So on screen if it says frontangle -1.5 -0.9 choose one or the other. Since you have diff year and new scanner idk if menu gives diff value to choose but whatever two incline values that is on screen choose either number values and see if it saves. Also just making sure your car is airmatic button is lowest setting ?
Hey brother thanks for reaching out to me, I’m currently in the middle of doing some work on the 2005 CLK 55 AMG coupe and will be getting back to the CLS soon, can you confirm delivery to your email address so I can give you more detailed information if I have any problems with the CLS suspension settings?
Keep in mind the actual amount of adjustment is going depends on the accuracy of the level sensors currently on your car, be sure to start on flat level ground
Yes that is important good note! Thx Sorry haven’t been able to reply with pointers work is so busy
Well I don’t mean to sound ignorant but it’s hard to say I did not take measurements before but I know that the car had a huge gap between the tire and wheel the best way for me to describe it is I used to be able to easily place three fingers between the wheel opening and the top of the tire on all four corners now I can barely fit one
Incidentally the scanner was ordered for the Mercedes-Benz I didn’t think there was any additional download update procedure that needed to be done to the handheld unit
Hi I wanted to lift my rear just a bit, I do it and it works but for the saving part where u enter the values at the end, does it matter what value you use? The part at 15:30. I don’t want my front to change I just want to raise my rear 1 shot because it’s rubbing a bit. Thanks
Where can I see what values I need to enter in there once I’ve adjusted to my height I want
There should be a comment by mcr and he explains which valves to set
Mine won't save. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm going to try again today.
Do you know if I can fit 2012 sclass tail lights on a 2008? And is it plug and play
They will fit , I’ve heard some
Ppl got them to work plug and play and some had to use scan tool.
I did all that and it saved. Then when restarted the car after driving a bit. It went right back to the prior height. Any suggestions?

Well for some reason the new fox well NT 510 elite did not allow me to save changes, follow all the steps re-entered the values at their requested parameters front and rear 3.1 on the front and -0.9 and again trying just -.9 for the rear with the message saying after I confirmed and hit OK that those values were out of the specified range, any ideas?
Enter a number value within the range not out and it will save it
If it’s not within the two ranges it will not save . I just saved the lower range
How do you raise it back to stock ride height?
There is a menu where it raises to factory spec. Or you can adjust to higher height and save it the same way like lowering . Let me check and see steps. What kind of model do you have?
@@GonZaWoRx 2007 e550 airmatic rwd
No but I will try that next chance I get
So what does it mean if you try to raise vehicle with this scanner and it doesn't raise?
Your car isn’t raising at all? Have you tried reset to auto factory level?
Is your pump working also ?
@@GonZaWoRx No I havent tried the factory reset to factory level and yes I hear the pump running attempting to raise the front. The backs wheels are fine.
@@lemarcuswilliams6954 is it both fronts or just one? Did. You try raising each individually? MKe sure you don’t hear any air noises from front of the bags are fine and valve opening to send air to fronts
I cant get it, my cls 500 same year maxes out at like 15mms after obd 2 adjustments
I still have a gap
Did you try to re adjust with new values saved as the new current stock height? Also just checking if it was adjusted at the lowest setting or higher setting on switch?
I did the adjustments on the lowest setting, and yes i followed how you saved the values to special functions
It keeps saying cars not within range I tried everything 😭

@@GonZaWoRx omg ur a life saver TYSM
Yeah a lot of ppl get confused on that part and think it doesn’t work but those steps are the most important and need to be followed exactly. It took me awhile of researching and digging forums comparing to star process to figure it out . The
Hey buddy I hope all is going fine and well for you project is currently on on hold, I sent some info to your email address not sure if you got it it would be helpful if we communicated through that option in the future, anyway my end result is to get the center of the Wheel art opening on both front and rear at exactly 26.5 inches from the ground to the inside center of each wheel arch, which is just a little bit lower values then the suspension module wants to except so I’m going to have to incorporate lowering links and then fine-tune it with the scanner/programmer
Did you try saving the new values and then doing it again ? Because they new value will be your stock height values basically it will reset to 0
For sure that would be great plus I’d like to be able to show you my other project as well, there a safe way to exchange email address?
Email me your contact and I’ll save you in or soon as you get a chance gonza_llc@yahoo.com and we can exchange info
Hey just saw your message brother thank you
